The front-runner for the MVP for this season of SMJHL is Cristoforo Roccamontepiano, who has had an excellent season, having 118 points in 66 games, which is near 2PPG, along with that having a 52 goal season which is a massive increase from the 33 he had last season. 
The 2 and 3 candidates for the MVP are both from the  , May O'Nayse who had 112 points in 66 games, which consists of 50 goals and 62 assists, and Doug Weight who had 109 points in 66 games, but the split is 30 goals and 79 assists. 

It's a very close race, it can go either way for any one of these players, however the extra 6 points in the same span of games, while also not having the same quality of team-mates May and Doug had, as the second highest scorer for QCC only had 100 points, meanwhile for the  they had 2 players who has 109 points, and 1 player with 112. Cristoforo had to carry his team, compared to the other candidates who could easily split the load.
