The S79 SMJHL MVP frontrunners for me are: Cristoforo Roccamontepiano, Valtteri Pulkkinen, and May O'Nayse. 
Cristoforo Roccamontepiano leads all skaters in points with 52 goals and 66 assists totaling up to 118 points. Cristoforo's power play goals sits at the top of the league by a large margin with 25 goals. The next highest ppg is sitting at 16 goals. Cristoforo has been a phenomenal player for the QCC. 

Valtteri Pulkkinen is the leading goal scorer in the SMJHL with 55 goals in 66 games played with a 16.3% shooting percentage. The Maine Timber's top players have been juggernauts all season. Pulkkinen has 54 apples as well. 

May O'Nayse is another player on Maine Timber. O'Nayse has 112 points with 50 goals and 62 assists. O'Nayse has been one of the best wingers in the league and has developed on the Timber's since S76. 

The MVP battle is fierce as there are many good cases for the MVP. However, there can only be one MVP. Cristoforo has to be the most favored player in the leauge as of right now. The Timber players are very good but they have each other to improve their play. Cristoforo has been driving the team to the top all season.
