Option 2

Opening night is something truely special in my eyes. Training camp has concluded and the exhibition games have been played and now the real deal is starting and all teams start that battle to secure a spot in the oh so important play offs to have a shot at winning that precious cup. I can imagine that it's also pretty special for the fans as they have been waiting a couple of months for competitive games to be played by their favorite team. Some teams might not have played in the previous season play offs so they had to wait a little bit longer. On the day of the home opener I try to make extra time to interact with the fans and sign extra autographs. Show my appreciation that they are turning out to watch us play and pay for it on top of that. They make our game possible and it is good to give something in return.
