Anchor: It was opening night for the Detroit Falcons last night against the Maine Timbers. Our sports reporter has the highlights.

Reporter: The atmosphere was addictive in Detroit tonight; and even more so for the Falcons when Jimbob Ghostkeeper scored the 1st goal of the season for them. Unfortunately at that point they were already down 2-0. The player of the game was Jeffrey Bjelland who had 5 shots on goal, the most of anyone on the Falcons.

Bjelland: I love our fans so much; I just wish one of those shots would have gone in; the fans deserve better on opening night. We didn't live up to expectations and we already know we need to work harder to give the fans what they deserve.

Reporter: The fans left dejected but not without hope as the season is just getting started.

Anchor: The Falcons will look to bounce back with another game at home versus St. Louis later tonight.
