Rocky Gislason has always loved the first game of the season. It is the start to your hockey life and the start of playing the sport you love. Rocky loved going to opening nights as a kid to see all the players and see the opening ceremonies. So it is only fitting that Rocky loves to make opening night extra special for the fans. Rocky will be out early in the day signing autographs, taking pics with fans, and just chatting with them. It gives Rocky a sense of why he loves to play the game still. It is also a little extra motivation for the game, and Rocky gives opening games like 150% every season. It sets the tone for the whole upcoming season. After the game is no different. Rocky stays extra long to sign as many autographs for the fans that hang out. He also gives out some gear to the young fans. Gloves, pucks, water bottles, team towels are big hits. Gislason loves the fan interaction as that is what drew him to the game so he always tries to give back.
