That would be fine for me as long as it's explained what the active numbers mean (WHAT DO THE NUMBERS MEAN MASON???) as in, it means you might not play for your national team for a while. Pair that with a short introduction on the IIHF.

Without context people will just be like "yeah I mean most users are probably American or Canadian, what gives? It's not a problem for me, right?"

Also I respectfully disagree about USA/Canda for being at a disadvantage with this. Other nations also get IA's and Canada in particular was so overcorwded that they got a Quebec IIHF team, instead of including another nation.
