10. This is always a fun question because everyone’s knows about the Presidents Trophy curse in real life, and maybe there’s something to be said about the grind of a season and all the winning. But at the same time, doesn’t the bubble team have to fight for their lives down the stretch too? I honestly wouldn’t read too much into it - playoffs are a decent sample size but it’s generally about whose goalie can get the hottest and who can get the train moving over that period. It’s not always the best team on paper or during the season - it’s the magic of the cup. It could also be that the team who has grinded their way into the playoffs is mentally in the perfect spot to be in the midst of a playoff run because they’ve basically been in a playoff mentality for the last couple of weeks just trying to get there in the first place.

14. It looks like San Francisco won, and i’m assuming they did so by being the better team at playing hockey in the finals than Tampa was. Though that’s obviously tongue in cheek and oversimplifying things because San Francisco has been one of the leagues best teams year after year and it’s no surprise to see them in the finals, nevermind winning the cup there. It’s a team that is incredibly well built from top to bottom, and they’ve got strong chemistry throughout their lineup. They’re built for a playoff and cup run, and it was unsurprising to see their efforts end in yet another Challenge Cup victory. Hopefully next year it’s the Panthers as the winning side out of the division
