My answer to this question is generally no, for 2 reasons.
1) Chemistry in lines is such a weirdly important factor in FHM that shifting out players this late can be a gamble that most highly competitive teams aren't interested in taking but mid-tier teams may be incentived toward with expectations for a season or two down the line. 2) The business aspect of the NHL, with its sales pressure and overhead costs, does not apply to the SHL. Generally, if you're trading an active player here, it's a friend. GMs in the past who used to play a numbers game found themselves less successful than those who built community with their teams and had fun with it. |
