While Jesus Murphy is in the hearts of his teammates, he's not much of a contributing factor on the ice. Sometimes, it's almost better if he can remove himself from the equation and essentially donate icetime to the five better defenders. As such, when the situation calls for it, he tries to goad one of the better players on the opposing team into a fight. This usually starts with agitating physical play until he is forced to bear several crosschecks on his back, before he turns to speak the truth to the other party involved (that they're a little bitch). If he can get them to take a swing, he will make a show of turning the other cheek while the refs watch in an attempt to draw an instigator penalty on the opposition. After this point, it is now free game for Jesus to start dispensing biblical justice and rain his vengeance upon the enemy before getting a lengthy break where he can watch better players play for him instead
