Option 2:
Walbilly Koala not only gave motivational speeches and led by example with hard work and sheer determination, but he also invited the team out for frequent team dinners to truly solidify their bond before the playoffs began. Of course, while out eating with his team, Walbilly Koala would order mostly chicken-related dishes because it’s his favorite kind of meat. He’d encourage his team to do the same! He spoke many motivational speeches, mostly about the value of grit, work ethic, and, surprisingly, rest. He elaborated that if any of the team pushes themselves too hard, they’re putting themselves and the entire team at risk. That’s why proper rest is important. Such a basic concept can be easy to forget once you’ve already reached the metaphorical top. Allowing the body, and possibly even more importantly, the mind, to rest is crucial to both one’s development as a player and the development of a team. Being non-stop will have short-term success but eventually cause the players to crash and burn. (168 words) |
