There are a ton of rules that could be fun. Here is the best idea that MattyJ has. He wants each team to have to pick a fan out of the audience at random and let them play. The rules are that the fan has to get at least a minute of ice time in each period. This allows the teams to implement strategy on when to use the fan and when not to. This could create some electric moments. Imagine a fan getting lucky and tipping in a game winner. Or a fan getting walked by a forward and giving up a goal. The highlights and opportunities are endless. This would probably add some randomness to games. You could get lucky and get a fan that played college hockey or you could get a soccer mom with 8 kids. The fan does not have to accept the invite, but it would be highly encouraged. Make it happen simulation hockey league.
