You can say it’s “just a meme” but just know that your dismissal of the impact of these things reads as dismissal of the safety and concerns of people who have been threatened, often explicitly, by the people who wave that flag.

Also Dhoop, you mentioned you like Edmonton's colour scheming - I'm fairly open here about being queer, so sorry to possibly disappoint you if you were hoping to come here but it is important to me that people on the team are okay with that, and when people play into right-wing dogwhistles it muddies the waters a bit.
