The new best hockey word is twidleywinks which is used mostly to describe the skating abilties of teh forge goalies. It sounds like something that isnt good and wathcing our goalies that for sure is teh case.

Salmon Slap(worthy) - Exclusive to the Great Falls Grizzlies. Whenever a player makes a great play, such as a great save, (in my case) a goal, or perhaps a big hit, teammates on the bench call it Salmon Slapworthy. They get a complementary salmon from the in stadium restraint after the game

Fratricide check/hit. With inspiration from the suicide pass name, the term is used when a player checks an opposing player into their own goaltender. Something that actually needs a name and should be shamed.

Puckie - a puckie is a slang term used to describe the worst skater on the team. They always seem to be sliding around.

Stick Pixe - this term is used to describe that player who is always showing off with stick trick.

Musky (adjective) used to describe a player who takes all the credit, fame, and money even though their line mates are the ones who did all the actual work.

Guy is musky as hell. He only gets paid by skating into the play late and cleaning up. Dude can't set up jack by himself.

“Milk, straight up” - I love to make cookies and cinnamon rolls for the locker room before every game. We always wash these treats down with milk. Just before we leave the locker room we chant, “We came here to drink milk and kick some a**. We’ve just finished our milk. Let’s kick some a**!!!”

When we’re down a goal, or morale is down, we remind each other what we are here for with the phrase, “Milk, straight up.”

Lund - A miraculous save from a goalie and you're so impressed with the effort that you can only manage to yell out one syllable and lund is the first thing that comes to your mind

Wassininglo. To be a Wassininglo means that you are a goalie who can esaily make very hard plays in the next but you often struggle to make very routine blocks. A guy who makes the highlight reel a lot but doesnt have the best stats is a Wassininglo.

The Rubber Nosed Swamp Donkey is when Melvin bashes into a player on the ice. Sometimes it's his own teammate, sometimes it's the opposing team. Either way, it isn't quite as painful as one expects because his snoot is boopable.

Burble - A word used to describe someone who's lost on the ice and struggles a lot.

Ex : Hey have you seen X (player name)? He's so a burble right?

One of the words we use in Montreal as slang is a "Wilson" which means getting a loss but also recording 4+ shot blocks in that game, securing the Fantasy W in place of the real win.

The Kelowna Knights have come up with some new hockey slang and their word for the season is "Stanky Stink". It's basically someone who is struggling to score, pulls off bad dekes or can't get around people - thus, having a stanky stick.
