Reimer's a good goalie.

Silly me for wanting my goalie to play more than 50% of the season. What was I thinking
No no no, seriously. You're right, those analysts are dumb for saying he proved himself this season. He only broke records, put up numbers with some of the best goalies, and brought a team to the playoffs who hadn't been there in 9 years. Wink

Yes, yes he is, loads of potential but hasn't proved himself as a starter yet. Hopefully next season he can

Thank you to My boys @Merica and @Ragnar for the lovely sigs!

You're right. You clearly know more about hockey then all the analysts and guys like Don Cherry.

You're also right, who would be happy with a who broke your teams goalie SV% record, a goalie who was top 6 in SV% last year. A goalie who played amazing and stole games for their team. A goalie who has put up two great seasons out of three. That would be silly!

I disagree with Maxy on a LOT of things, but he's right here. Those things are great, and, if he keeps them up, then he'll be a top goalie in the league.

But

MaF lead the Pens to back-to-back cup finals, winning one, then derped the fuck out.

Jonathan Cheechoo scored 56 goals and won the Rocket Richard(setting two franchise records for points and goals).

Steve Mason won the Calder for being pretty amazing on the Blue Jackets and everyone shouted from the rooftops he was a franchise goalie.

Reimer needs to be consistently doing well and playing 50+ games for us non-Leaf fans to really jump on the bus, we've seen too many flashes in the pan.

Reimer is streaky

All over the place=Streaky
Eh, yeah I guess. It also has to do with the team but yeah I guess he is a little streaky. Something that will improve once the team improves and he becomes older and better.

I know right. Fasth too, he should be in talks for Vezina, I mean he came in as a rookie this season, started the season 8-0 and was a major reason the Ducks came from 14th in the West last season to 2nd in the West. I mean hell he did a better job of making his team better than Reimer at boosting his team in the standings! I mean this half season opened my eyes, you don't have to play more than half the season so long as you play well when you do play! Reimer and Fasth for Hall of Fame gaiz!

Didn't Cheechoo have an injury that fucked him up thought?

With Mason, I think this fresh start will revive him. He played amazing when in Philly.

Cheechoo had a great Season afterwards (37 Goals in 76GP) but then a bad knee really slowed him down. I remember him get Knee'd in the postseason that caused him to slow down a lot

Your right! Except Fasth only played 25 games compared to Reimer's 33! Oh and it's not like Fasth has a ton more experience then Reimer!

But still proves that just because someone plays well once or twice doesn't mean they can do it consistently especially as a goalie, especially when he hasn't played 50. And I don't think it was the team that made Mason play terribly considering Bobrovsky came in and made the team almost a playoff team to a WORSE team than Mason had
