Against. This is such a stupid premise that I can't possibly think of any way to phrase this other than pointing out just how incredibly dumb it is. This league seriously needs to get away from the idea that the MVP belongs to whoever the player with the most points is. The point of an MVP award should be that the team would be in a far worse position than they are currently without the player. In no world would Buffalo not be in such an amazing spot without Luffy. The team is so well rounded across all fronts that I would go as far as to say that nobody on Buffalo deserves the MVP award. Everyone on the team provides a relatively equally proportional level of success for the team, meaning none would suddenly sink the team should they love. MVP should belong to the player who is singlehandedly bringing success to their franchise and that is certainly not anyone on Buffalo right now.

Agree. MVP shouldn’t be the highest scoring player in the league, it should be the player that brings the most value to their team night in and night out. Buffalo is so stacked that it’s hard to argue that any one player on that team is the most valuable and therefore a true MVP candidate. Now Luffy will get nommed for it IMO but the award isn’t his to win.

Against. Everyone knows that the assumed champions always lose the cup. We have too much faith in the NL roster for this to happen. They will get upset by some mid-tier team that gets swept later. Sorry.

The new expansion teams should be placed in West Virginia and Montana #NOLEAKS

For(Montana)/Against(West Virginia)

Montana is a worthy destination for an SHL franchise, but West Virginia is most certainly not. Montana has an active winter sport scene and has cool cities like Missoula. West Virginia has miming and meth. On second thought, maybe West Virginia should get a team.

Of the major trades that have gone down in the past month, Edmonton's move for Theo Morgan stands out as the best of all

I disagree, I think the combination of adding Clapper and Zheng add some legit firepower on the Steelhawks team looking to get better and add high end talent.Plus I doubt the long term success of Edmonton.

Factoring in regression and every player's growth rates, it is incredibly hard for recent draft picks to become impact players in the SHL. There exists a wide gap of TPE, and it is hard to bridge that gap. While that is the case, tactics and deployment, as well as fitness play a huge factor, and I find it possible, with continued growth from the players to reach double digits next season.

I have been thinking about this trade lately. I thought the haul was good at the time. Theo Morgan has turned out to be phenomenal in Edmonton. I was thinking both sides won in this trade depending on how the draft picks turn out.

Tampa will absolutely win double digit games. They have been slowly building their roster over the last few seasons. Coming off of a goose egg of a year, it can really only go up from there. I don't think they will get far in the double digits but I can see them getting into the low to mid teens.

No one can hold a candle to the Berserkers; they will hoist the Four Star Cup

This is the truest statement of the lot. The Berserkers have more TPE on their fourth line than some teams do on their 2nd. They are a ridiculously deep team that has players who excel in each aspect of the game. They have their offensive stars in Mats Marner. They have their two way studs. Their key d-men. An amazing goalie. A beastly goon.

They have it all and will win the Four Star Cup because of it.

Against. While Theo Morgan has certainly been one of the best performers, it seems like it's Edmonton's system that's most responsible for that as Morgan has replaced the role of Tokolosh in Edmonton who isn't having as good a season as he did last season. For me both of Dick Clapper and Guy Zheng have been bigger additions for Hamilton than Morgan has been for Edmonton.

FOR: Heres why. Tampa has got some players that HAVE to come up next season, thus only making their roster better all things considered. I genuinely think if they properly tried to be strategic they could pull off 10 wins.

Tampa is still a very young team and is still a few years from becoming competitive. They do have some strong up and coming players but they are not there yet. Next year they will continue to be a bottom feeder in the league. They will a good team in about 3 seasons is my prediction.

I don't know how anyone could think this, it would have been a good trade if Morgan hadn't already told everyone he was planning on going to free agency, I'd have to give this award to the glutes/5ym trade.

New Orleans will break the FHM President's Trophy Curse and win the Challenge Cup as well
AGAINST
It's a curse as long as you let it in your head. If that's your mentality, it will keep being a curse. Just ignore it and play like you would any other playoff game. That's the ticket to the cup.

False. New Orleans might win the cup... That could definitely happen. But I have doubts that they can beat out a Eastern team to the presidents trophy. They may have the easier division, and conference and remaining schedule... Wait...

Of let me try again..

false, New Orleans might be able to lift the presidents trophy, because of the things I mentioned above, but I have strong doubts that they can win the cup against any of the big four teams in the East.

I hate to say it, but with two new expansion teams and an easier division, the Tampa Bay Barracuda stand a real chance of winning 10 of their games.
