I've played for three teams in the SHL and all three are Western Conference squads, so the answer is Minnesota, for the capital crime of trading me for somebody already regressing. BEGONE.
Conferences arent a huge deal in the SMJHL for me personally but man I would love to not be in the same conference as QCC because those guys are a powerhouse every season. I would probably replace them with SDT.

if two of your three members are in the band i dont care if you call it box car racer its still blink-182
Honestly just because it would be incredibly funny I'm just going to swap my two former teams for the sake of it, moving Atlanta to the western conference and moving San Francisco to the eastern conference
If I could replace one team in my conference in the SMJHL, it would definitely be the Maine Timber, since they're always winning year after year, and their logo annoy me, because it looks ugly. Get rid of them trees!!
If geography wasn't an issue, it would be Texas Renegades from the West. The three teams that are always at the top in the west are los angeles, Texas and San francisco. San Francisco is relatively new here and Texas has always been at the top. I will switch them up with someone like Philadelphia Forge for example
I’d probably remove Winnipeg and add a team in St. Louis or Kansas City, because then the Central Division wouldn’t have any Canadian teams, and that’s ideal.
I would remove the Los Angeles Panthers I think we’d be better in our own division which would bring great success to the team. This would lead to more playoff appearances.

Special thanks to Blitz, jhockey, Ragnarr, and sulo for the gorgeous sigs <3
This is a little disingenuous since we are already at the conference finals, but oh my god the Atlantic division has been a nightmare for the last few seasons. This season in particular really demonstrated how top heavy the division is. It resulted in the 7th ranked team hosting the 8th ranked team by pure points standings in the North East division. Id remove PHI and replace them with TOR.
Ottawa Canada in the Southern and Great Falls USA in the Northern?!? Put Canadian teams + Alaska together. Call it the Northern/Great North Conference, and the Continental Conference for the American teams.

I really don't care about which team to swap. Instead go on just regular standings and match the top with the bottom for each round to give playoffs more of a SPICE!
I would take Winnipeg out of the Central, mostly for the travel. Every time we have to play them, we have to deal with customs, go through that remote airport, and then where are you after all that? In Winnipeg, playing the Aurora... again.
In return, we'll take Tampa Bay. If we're going to New Orleans, Tampa is just a jump across the Gulf, no big deal.
I would probably try to rework the entire conference because it makes more sense to split it up by East vs. West instead of North vs. South for time zone reasons, but if I had to pick one I would replace Maine since they always seem to be at the top of the standings.

Not a Commissioner. Shh!
I think that I would trade Seattle to the North East Division for Montreal. In part because I think Seattle is better and it would be nice to have a second slightly worse team, but also I think it would be amusing to essentially have the Eastern most team in the SHL in the Pacific Division and the Western most team in the North East Division.

It's pretty hard to be mid-winter and pick up to go to either New Orleans or Texas. Both of them are just so jarring when you consider we spend the rest of the season in Minnesota and Winnipeg. If I have to pick one, I'm removing New Orleans because we always seem to stay out too late eating good food when we go there as a team.
Give me the Maine Timber in the Northern Conference to restore the rivalry with Newfoundland a bit more, they can replace Anchorage because they keep embarrassing us in playoffs.
