Due to travel restrictions, Ryu wasn't able to meet his family in person, but they were able to get on a Zoom call together:

Lemo has a rather small immediate family, being an only child to his parents, but in turn a very large extended family with lots of aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews and so forth, so there is always plenty of people at the Pihl family reunions.
Professional sports runs in the family as well, with two of Lemo's nieces representing Estonia in the olympic swimming contest and a nephew of his competing in the international tennis tours and ranked in the top 250 of the latest ratings, so of course there is a lot of discussion over their respective successes and difficulties. While the parents can sometimes get somewhat out of hand bragging with their kids' achievements, Lemo is on great terms with all his sporting relatives and they relish the chance to meet up and chat face to face ever so often, even though they also converse over the internet a lot as well and share their support of each other's endeavors.

After 69 shots on net with still no SHL goals to show for it, even the opposition started to feel so sorry for Lemo, that they decided to help him out :D
- Bad pass by Jack Klompus, he gave it right to Lemo Pihl.
- Lemo Pihl rips it to the net...
- Lemo Pihl will find the empty net, that should do it!

Well Ursin Zimmermann never was a big guy of family unions as he did not like many people trying to impress each other with their bullshit they have done over the years. So the best thing about hockey was that he had a good reason to not attend those gatherings. When he had to attend them most of the family was quiet good to him. But he tended to go to his cousins and play games or board games with them to spend time with people in his age.
This years family gathering was not that different either. He went there talked to the usual people and then spent time with his cousins and decided to leave earlier because he had to workout to get better at hockey. When he wanted to go home his brother and some of his cousins asked him if he could take them with him as usual so most of the young ones left the gathering with him to go home or somewhere else.

Thank you @Carpy48, @honkerrs

Pavel Jeziaks family reunions are usually a good time, seeing his dad, Travis Jeziak, former Challenge cup champion and career West Kendall Platoon player. His adopted brother Zeus McClane who is a professional wrestler signed with the Rink of Honor wrestling company and the rest of the family. Reunions usually go pretty smoothly for the Jeziaks, but the latest one ended up being quite the clown show. As for the first time in a while, they decided to have the reunion be a party with lots of alcohol and more family members take part. Night started off well but after copious amounts of cheap beer was consumed, the brothers Zeus and Pavel decided to do some good ol' wrasslin in the living room. After a broken coffee table, several smashed glasses and paintings fallen to the floor, the dad Travis had seen enough, and told them to go outside. Then with Zeus and Pavel having their backs turned he smashed them in the back with a folded steel lawn chair. Rest of the night went smoothly as the drunken men went to bed and the remaining family cleaned the place up.

Family reunion in Sweden. Wow, finally. It has been such a long time since we did one of these big family reunions. Every summer it's good to return to the home town and the youth team as well as seeing old friends and close family. To meet up with the the extended family in a reunion is however a rare treat and a well deserved one to recharge batteries before the first playoffs in the SHL begins. We are a very friendly family and feuds are not common. If they appear, they do not last for a long time. It was great to see everyone again and the few family members that I had not seen in a long time had many questions for me, as I had for them. The difference in lifestyles as well what has happened personally for us these last few years were good conversations.

The reunion was filled with smiles and well-wishes, even if I am not back a lot it was not just for me it was thrown together. The entire family likes to be together. At the end, I was made to promise that I would be the host for the next one. It will be a pleasure to welcome my family to Boston and some real hockey when the time comes!

The Parmborg family reunion is always an exciting event. It takes place back home in Parma Italy, we all fly there because it's some of the best food in the world. My uncle Esa Anrikkanen is a big draw so all the family comes to see him and also his wife who is a Brazilian supermodel. Well, all the men come to see her, the women in the family are mostly jealous, but she's a nice person. Anyway, it's a big event and now that I'm an SHL superstar everyone is very proud of me (Esa Parmborg). I pay for the entire event, we have a huge Italian buffet style meal with chicken parm, eggplant parm, sausage and peppers, meatballs, penne a la vodka, fettucine alfredo, eggplant rollatini to name a few. Everyone eats like pigs, it's great. We also have an all you can eat chicken parm contest where everyone challenges my uncle the parm kind Esa Anrikkanen, nobody can beat him, I came close once but was still a full 4 cutlets behind, he's a machine. We have some fun games for the kids, pin the penne on the donkey, a dunk tank full of tomato sauce and of course street hockey using a frozen meatball. It's a real good time. Parmborg's are good people.

A family reunion - in San Francisco. Yes, the very small family of Oscarssons there is has decided to have one just ahead of the playoffs in the sunny state of California. And what better place to do it than on Alcatraz. So, the entire family flew in, took their pack and stepped on a boat towards the lonely island of former prisoners that sounds way too similar to the prison in Harry Potter. Here we play sit down to eat a classic Swedish meal pre-made by Alex himself. Pasta, Bacon and ketchup. Easy as it goes. After the prison happening the family decided on the Golden Gate bridge. A lovely little scenery with some great company was perfect warm-up ahead of the challenging playoff series against the Chicago Syndicate. Who would be better off on Alcatraz in my honest opinion. The family waved their goodbyes as they flew out to Chicago to catch game 1 on the flip. Can't miss Alex messing up in front of the world like that.

The family reunion season hit Iceland early this year. Sekai Wollker headed back to his homeland to see some family after being away for the first time in his life. The big old North America had him amazed and full of stories about his new home city of Anaheim. The Wollker’s were in awe that a place exists where it is warm all year long, and even more baffled that a city that warm supports a hockey team even in that climate. Most Wollkers never make it past the backyard rinks.

The best surprise was that Sekai ran into his former Super-Star cousin Wyatt Wollker who played in the SHL for many, many seasons and filled the padawan’s head with the wonders and excitement of the big leagues and gave him plenty of advice on how to prepare for the big show. With Sekai eagerly listening to the old-timers advice, the reality and potential of living up to the Wollker greatness became more than a potential dream, it became a reality. Family is awesome.

Family reunions are always a welcomed time for Theo Kondos. Our family use tries to have one every summer, however with more and more relatives starting their own families it is hard to get people out sometimes. Usually the family reunion will be held in some small town, at their local community hall. This is to allow for the out of town family members to either bring their trailers, or camping tents so that they can spend the night and not have to worry about driving home in the evening after the drinking has started. Usually the day will start with a bunch of yard games, and drinking. Yes you will notice drinking is a trend at these reunions. Once we head into the evening, most family members will bring a dish for dinner, which results into one large pot luck, with often too much food left over. From there, the night will be spent drinking away and shooting the shit around the fire.

Because there are several former SHL players within the family of Kaarlo Kekkonen, it makes any time his family reunites a very interesting time. His father, Kari Kekkonen played for Kelowna and West Kendall for a short time, but it was his uncle Kaapo Kekkonen who was the first of the Kekkonens to really make a name in the SHL, with his younger relatives Kolja and KEKW also being at the reunion. There is a lot of jealousy for the success that Kaarlo has had in the league at the reunion, as no one else has been able to produce in the same way that he has been able to so far in his career. The reunion starts off with a lot of bragging by Kaarlo about how great he is and the success he has had. He is then kicked out of the reunion because no one else wants to hear what he has to say. Hopefully the next one goes a little better!

Billy Brooks does not always have the best family reunions. He has a lot of geniunely awesome family he really enjoys seeing and always has a good time with, but he also deals with a lot of anger and anxiety when it comes to dealing with some of his uncles and aunts. They do not believe in his career choice and think he should have gone into the family business of carpet recoloration. They believe Billy is living a dilusion and he will never make it big in the SHL, but they do just not get him. They still view him as just a little kid playing hockey with no real grasp on reality, but little do they know of what Billy is really capable of. Billy has heard that he is going to be called up the big league club next year, but do his contract and privacy concerns he cant tell them during the reunion this year. He cannot wait to show them next year when he comes up the bigs and becomes one of the most promising players of his generation. He is gonna show them!
