Commemorating our most recent championship, the Newfoundland Berzerkers, at the home opener for S56, gave away signature championship pennants, as well as novelty foam axes, swords, and 'zerker helmets for anyone attending the game in Bezerker Black & Red. It was fitting to see them raised in triumph as the banner was likewise raised to the rafters, hopefully soon to be joined by several others.

Chicken parmesan dishes are a huge delight among the Calgary Dragons team in the SHL. Everyone knows this, and fans try to go by that as well. This season, there will be 5 games which will be called Chicken Parm Night, where every fan in the building will be receiving a chicken parm sandwich. Expensive for the team to give out that much free food? Maybe. Worth it? Yes.

One of the promotional nights for the New Orleans Specters is on opening night, and features collectibles and giveaways of items from the new rookies joining the team. For the first 250 fans that enter the building on opening night, the team has bobble heads of either Conner Hutton, or Kwame Dakari in Specters uniforms. Beforehand, the two were asked to sign a select 10 of their select 125 bobble heads to sign, which are mixed in with the others to give an additional surprise to some more fans.
On top of that, there are raffles for several items, such as a stick signed by the entire team. In addition, there is also a signed Hutton Kraken jersey, signed Hutton Specters jersey, signed Dakari Kraken jersey, and signed Dakari Specters jersey. All the money raised would go to a charity in need in the community.
In the team store, there was a 15% sale off anything over $100, only excluding memorabilia, until game time started. You only had to show your ticket at the till to capitalize, and many did, with jerseys, and other clothing flying out the doors.

The Tampa Bay Barracuda do a great job filling the arena with healthy and happy families and kids, but missing from the crowd are Senior citizens. Many retired Tampa Bay senior citizens are too frail and feeble to climb up several flights of stairs to their game seats.
To appease the seniors and make it easier for them to attend games, the Tampa Bay Barracuda are going to hold a
Hip Replacement Night ! Every senior citizen who attends the game will get a free hip replacement by the Tampa Bay team doctors! Half of the jumbo tron will show the SHL action while the other will show the doctors performing hip replacement surgery live during the game!
