The Purge is a concept where typically illegal things (e.g., robbery, murder) are legalized for one day. In an SHL-purge, there's a game day where everything typically illegal to do on the ice is now legal. No rules for sticks or pads, no penalties, no icing, etc. What will your player do on the ice to make the most of this and gain a competitive advantage?
Panda is gonna go full speed into every goalie he sees. No stopping the monstrosity that is Panda Panico. He will go the full length of the ice directly into the goalie and smash their skull in while holding the puck in his teeth before yeeting his entire body into the goal. Anyone who opposes him will see a swift smack in the face with his stick which now has razor blades all over it. Ideally, there are other teammates who are willing to be sprinting right at people to demolish the other team. Panda Panico wants to destroy the opponents using pure brute force. On top of his razor blade covered stick, his helmet will now have literal ice spikes sticking out of it. Panda will look like a dinosaur on cocaine and be ready to charge everyone standing in his way. After this whole purge day, I would fully expect Panda to have lost a few fingers from hitting himself somehow. 3. Written, 3 TPE (150 words min.)
If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?
Alright, this is a pretty obvious pick. The New Orleans Specters has a literal Ghost Demon as their mascot. There is absolutely zero reason why this specter wouldn't perpetually take over the opponents and make them do their bidding until they come to their own demise. Specters are something to be feared, as they can cause great fear, as well as be devilishly smart and cunning. The mascot that would come to a brutal last place finish is the Aurora. Unfortunately, the fight will start in the middle of the day, in the middle of an enclosed arena. So the Aurora couldn't even be seen, thus not even be able to compete in the fight. There are a few other teams that would also flounder from this, the North Stars, as well as the Argonauts. A boat on ice? CMON man, that boat is dead in seconds due to not being able to move or defend itself.

What's your prediction for this season's IIHF tournament? Which teams do you expect to do well (or not well)? Which players?
I predict a few things for this years IIHF tournament. Number 1, is that team Germany will destroy every team they come across this go around. Why? Well they have the masterful black and white demon form of Panda Panico. A dashingly good looking fellow who can score on anyone anywhere and his puckhandling is insane. Number 2, Great Britain will out perform every other team. They are severely underrated in my honest opinion. With Bromanov leading their roster, there is absolutely no reason why they can't out strategize against every team they face. Number 3, Canada will underperform. Why? Well Canada is boring. Who wants to live in Canada right now when most of the SHL teams are in the United States of America. Just kidding, Canada will just underperform because I feel like they will get really unlucky rng. I'm sure they will just not perform how they should.

Oh boy, we’re purging on the ice now. I have this plan to slyly move the blue line a few inches to really mess with players that try to toe the blue line by feel. There are going to be a lot of humorous offsides penalties. The refs will be able to still gauge the lines pretty well since they are more away from the play and have good views of the blue line already. The players, on the other hand, will still be trying to use other marks such as where the bench begins to get a feel for where they are at on the ice. My player is going to yell onside when the opponents get to where the blue line used to be, just mere inches away. This will tilt the favor toward my team and see us stopping all sorts of plays from breaking into our zone. It’s minor enough that we won’t draw too much attention. Focus will remain on the other plays committing actual atrocities with the purge.

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?
Going full bias, I thought Hamilton was a pretty serious threat this season. I thought we were geared up for a repeat, or at the very least, a finals appearance. It wasn’t like we went down without a fight, we went up against the best team. The team had the best scorers, with 3 of the top 4 regular season scoring leaders. That offense was going to be a threat to any team. It should have been able to carry the team to the finals. With the impressive regular season we had, we figured the road to the cup was ours, but surprisingly we were knocked off that path.

What's your prediction for this season's IIHF tournament? Which teams do you expect to do well (or not well)? Which players?
I’m expecting a lot of fight out of Team Switzerland. The Swiss have been near the top of IIHF before and seem poised to get back into the conversation of world champs. They are hungry and have been training hard all off-season so far. There are some players that missed the playoffs completely or had an early exit and are excited about the chance to put up some good performances on the international stage. When you have a good crop of young skaters with some veterans mixed in there, it will be a good outing for the red and white team. We consider the youth of Switzerland to be a big plus much like the flag. Expect teams heavy with Texas or Buffalo players to be banged up and sore after going the distance and doing battle in the final series of the playoffs. International teams with Texas and Buffalo players will enjoy that those players are already caught up to speed, so it might work in their favor.

b. That is a good layoff for reaching the finals, but it seems like they had less to prove. Buffalo’s been one of those top teams to reach the finals frequently, have had success, but also failures. Winning probably meant more to Texas, but they weren’t as upset about the recent finals loses, if I had to guess.
c. The Texas brand is crisp and feels very Texan. Their banner on the site reminds me of a Texas license plate. I’m not the biggest fan of the current Buffalo logo and colors, but I think the Stampede are a decent brand. I give Texas the nod here but it’s not as far of a gap as I’d expect when comparing the two brands.

This one is so easy for me. In a purge, if there are absolutely no rules then there is one thing my terrible ass could do to not make me look like a terrible hockey player. I would start scoring on my own net. Think about it, there is no rule against it, it won't go against our team on the score sheet. It is the easiest way to stat pad during this weird purge going on. It will be easy for me because Name Redacted couldn't stop a runny nose, how is he going to stop me from scoring. If that doesn't work then we can just put all our player out on the ice and actually murder the other teams. No other teams mean we automatically win the cup. We have the advantage with that because one of our players is notorious for their use of a chainsaw when angry.

If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?
If all the logos were entered into a fight on a neutral field with specific environmental factors taken out of play (water for fish, the sky for birds), here are my definitive rankings for all 18.
18. - Easy choice for 1st out. The monarch doesn't fight, they get others to do their biddings. They would be no match for everyone else.
17. - Its a cool effect on the night sky, it isn't going to hurt anyone.
16. - If the CN Tower fell on you, you are probably dead. Highly unlikely though
15. - It is a ship. I think you can avoid a ship and be okay.
14. - A old timey mobster is scary, but I take large animals over a singular human any day.
13. - Similar to the Syndicate, except a Renegade is more unpredictable, and thus scarier in a fight.
12. - Bald eagles have sharp claws, but I believe the rest of the logos have more to offer.
11. - The logo is one buffalo. If it was many buffalo, their ranking would be different.
10. - Same as the stampede. One bull isn't enough to take out the other 9 logos
9. - Sharp teeth. Could do some damage, but in a neutral field, lake of water will hurt mobility.
8. - Wolves are stronger in a pack. One wolf is still dangerous, but not at the top of the list.
7. - It is a wolf but with ice abilities. It takes the standard wolf and makes it slightly better.
6. - Kind of seems like the angel of death. That is a pretty scary thing to face.
5. - I think a panther is more dangerous and agile than a wolf which puts it slightly ahead of them.
4. - The Lion is the king of the jungle and would be a force in a fight for logo supremacy.
3. - It is a hawk made of steel. Imagine a bird swooping at you and just cutting through you. No thanks.
2. - What is steels weakness? Fire. The fire chicken will always be super effective against the steel chicken.
1. Come on. It is a dragon that spits fire. It is larger than any of the other birds in the fight, and more dangerous all around. It matches up well against everything except for maybe the humans if they can tame the beast. If not, the Dragon takes the fight easy.

a. Which of these teams has stronger offensive firepower?
b. This is Texas’s first cup appearance since winning it in S36, while Buffalo is recovering from 2 recent final losses to Hamilton. Which team will have a bigger chip on their shoulder entering the finals.
c. Which of these two teams' brandings do you prefer? Take into account colors, logo, name, location, and anything else you consider relevant.
d. Would you rather have to spend a long weekend hanging out in Dallas or Buffalo? What would you do?
A. You have to give the overall offensive nod to the Buffalo Stampede. They finished 2nd in goals scored with 305 total while also having two players in the top 5 in points in Hernadivic and Kholin where as Texas has none in the top 5. All of this points to Buffalo having the advantage. (54)
B. I don't really think either team will have a chip on their shoulder necessarily but I do think there is more of an expectation for Buffalo. When you make multiple cup appearances and are seen as a potential dynasty, there is always more pressure to get the job done while Texas can play a bit more loose as not of these guys on this roster have been to the dance before and so they have nothing really to lose. (79)
C. I will always prefer sleek and timeless when it comes to the branding of teams. Buffalo has interesting colors and a ferocious logo but I could never see my self rocking a green and yellow jersey that kind of looks like puke. Instead give me that sexy black and silver that has always been timeless in sports with both the Raiders and the Kings having high sales numbers when using this scheme. (72)
D. This is the easiest question of all time. Do I want to spend time in a city that the rest of the state barely claims as their own, that is cold all the time and really has to real night life to speak of in Buffalo. Or do I want to be in one of the biggest cities in the country, with a bustling night life and a lot of things to do in much better weather? I will enjoy the food, the nightlife and maybe even hit up a rodeo in Dallas. (93)

The North Star obviously… let’s be real, no matter what team or what mascot; how are you going to fight an actual star, let alone the NORTH STAR. Science just has everyone beat honestly, the North Star is actually a triple-star system. ... Polaris is a supergiant more than two thousand times brighter than the Sun, while its companion is a main-sequence star. Polaris is located at a distance of 434 light-years from Earth and has luminosity nearly 4,000 times that of our sun… In terms of temperature, Polaris is slightly hotter than our sun. It has an estimated surface temperature of around 6.015 Kelvins. When it comes to its luminosity though, Polaris is around 2.900 times brighter than our sun. So not only will we burn you to dust, we can blind you before we do it. You can bring whoever you want to the fight, but honestly in this case SCIENCE WINS! Being over 70 million years old, the North Star is a pretty smart cookie, so I think advantage Toronto… sorry league, I don’t make the rules.

SWEDEN. With the playoffs finishing up soon, we are excited to have the team back together for another IIHF run. The last couple of seasons have not gone the way we wanted, and we look to change that this year. Last season, the Tre Kronor fielded a roster full of promising up-and-coming talent, led by veteran Swedish mainstays. With the competition continuing to become fiercer each season, last season’s roster did not achieve what they set out to do, which was to finish on that podium. With another season under our belt, the youth movement in full swing, alongside the steady veteran presence, the Tre Kronor hopes for better results this season. The infusion of young talent has provided a spark for the King Carl faithful, and we hope to shock a lot of people during this tournament. Last season's results were unacceptable for King Carl and the Swedish National Team; we are hungry to right the wrongs of last season and once again aim for a medal finish. It is Sweden’s time to show that they are a force to be reckoned with & we hope this tournament is the start of something special

There is without a doubt one major thing that Mikael Choybuk will do on the ice if given the chance. In the middle of the game during an SHL Purge, Choybuk will run to the locker room and bring out a dining set to eat chicken parms on the ice. Mikael will definitely be sitting there all game eating chicken parms, and if any other players of either team want to join him before they go for a line change, then they can choose to do so. Will this prevent his team from scoring goals? Maybe. But during this purge, there might be a lot of other things going on from the other players, so Mikael Choybuk will be happy enough to just sit back and relax, eating some chicken parms, and watch. If your a player that chooses to not sit down with Choybuk and dine in on the ice, then he will take offense from that.

I think this one takes some thinking. The first out would probably be the humans, like the Patriots or Platoon. You never know though, as they could maybe take out a Pride or Rage, Wolfpack, etc with guns. As for the strongest, I think it depends on what the North Stars mean. Is it the logo, like the CN Tower in the logo, or the actual North Star? If it's a star, then a star would definitely win it all, because it's a freakin' star. Other than that, it would have to be the Dragons. There's multiple of them, they're huge, and they can withstand many elements. A Forge of molten hot lava would do quite well in this battle too, but a Dragon would rise above that. It would be an interesting battle for sure. I think a team like the Barracuda would just stay underwater until all the other logos finish their battle, and see what they can do to the winner.

This may or may not be because of a heavy bias, but I would have to go with the Calgary Dragons as the best team not to make the finals. The Dragons have so much going for them, with great veterans, goaltending, and young studs coming up. I think a re-sim could have brought their losing series in another direction. Maybe I'm biased, but I've been with the squad for a long time and I fully believe in their capabilities in each and every series. I think they can beat any team on any night, so I don't think that me thinking they should have made the finals is that farfetched.

There's one big Calgary Dragons fan you might know, and she comes from the TV show Game of Thrones. Emilia Clarke played a woman on the show that owned dragons, so it was only natural for her to become a fan of the Calgary Dragons and be invited to games. Not only that, but she has been seen with her co-star Nathalie Emmanuel from Game of Thrones as well as Kit Harrington. Kit played Jon Snow on the show, who has dragons in his ancestry, and Nathalie played Missandei, who was Daenarys Targaryen's right hand woman. These dragon actors have seemed to flock to this Calgary Dragons hockey team and their many seasons of contending.

As someone on the Dragons who has been on the team for a long time, I have consumed a lot of chicken parm meals. There's more than a few players on that roster who have done the same as me. Who would I eat though? Well, Esa has been on the Dragons for a long, long time as well, and has eaten a ton of chicken parm. So, just for that fact, I would have to eat Esa because he would taste the most like chicken parm. This was an easy question for me. I think eating any Dragon vet would be a great choice, because of that chicken parm flavour.

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?
I think I will actually go with Chicago over Hamilton here. Chicago had that ridiculous start to the season going unbeaten for a long period of time. They had a super strong defense core, putting out players like Akira Ren, Disisde Dayudie and Corey Kennedy who are all basically #1 defensemen, and that doesn't even include Parker Smeb. They had a very deep forward core with talent all around and players that have dominated the league for a long time, plus a strong goaltending tandem with the young talented Mat Smith and the reliable vet Tibuk Soonika. Definitely expected a little more out of this team, especially with the start to the season they had.

What's your prediction for this season's IIHF tournament? Which teams do you expect to do well (or not well)? Which players?
I think we can expect to see the usual suspects at the top again. Teams like Canada, USA, Great Britain are always near the top and have a shot to win gold year in and year out. We've also got some really strong teams in the middle pack right now, with Sweden, Finland, Japan, Switzerland and Czechia all icing pretty darn strong squads at the moment. Any of those teams can play spoiler to the big boys and steal a win, or maybe even a medal. If I had to make a guess for a top team I think I'd go with team GB, they always seem to pull out a gold every couple seasons so they seem to be due. From the middle teams I'll go with team Sweden, they are actually icing a pretty darn strong roster right now and it looks like they will be contending for the forseeable future. For best players in the tournament I will go with Jon Forty-One (he always seems to be an IIHF beast) and Bobby Lane.

There are some decent choices out there, obviously Julio Tokolosh comes to mind being a whole motherfucking cow. Lots to work with there. There are also a couple lil animals out there, such as Duncan the Walrus (do people eat walrus'?), or maybe Pasta the Turtle, although I think he would be pretty tough to eat. His name is Pasta though so that makes things interesting. I think overall though it's hard to pass up on a nice tasty little Chimkin Wing. Add some salt and pepper to that bad boy plus a little sauce and he would go down just fine in a pinch.

Task 1: (3) The amazing people/players
Task 3: (3) This is the Ultimate (SHL) Showdown of Ultimate (SHL) Destiny! A real life battle between the real life creatures of each teams name. When I first heard this idea, I had 2 heavy favorite contenders emerging victorious. The Specter and the Dragon, seemed destined for glory until I took a second glance at the combatants. I now have another possible victor that will be very hard to defeat, I don't know what the North Star can do to attack other than explode and cause massive damage to everything in its path, but would that make the victory null and void if it dies along with everything else? I am still going to say that the winner of this epic battle would be the Specter. I mean really, how can any of the other competitors kill something that is already undead? There is no bullet to the head zombie technique to stopping this thing.
Task 5: (2) I am completely biased and am perfectly ok with it. The Calgary Dragons were the best team to not make the SHL Finals this year. For a team that played better than most predictions suggested, we really proved everyone wrong with our on ice ability all season long. Unfortunately, we failed on our way to a championship. We had everything it takes to go al the way and win it all, but bad luck can happen to anyone at anytime, and for us it hit hard. The Dragons had great goaltending, a strong defense, and a hard as nails offensive force, but failed when it mattered most.
Task 12: (1) c Between these two teams, I have to say I prefer the black and grey branding of the Texas Renegades over the green and yellow of Buffalo. I am just not a fan of the chosen colors of Buffalo, and while it is mostly overdone, makes the black and grey a more enjoyable palette for my personal preference.
Task 13: (2) The Texas Renegades have won the Challenge Cup and I am so happy for each and everyone of them as a former teammate from last season, so I just want to congratulate them all before I give my pick for the postseason MVP. Now I also want to say this was tough to choose because looking at just the stats, I was ready to give this award to a member of the losing Buffalo Stampede. I have decided on not doing that, and have instead chosen a very deserving Texas player. Cillian Kavanagh played his absolute heart out to make this victory a real dream come true, and he deserves this honor so much.
Task 15: (3) verification
Task 16: (2) This is a situation that, while is very unlikely, I have thought about on a few separate occasion. I have had a few players come to mind on which I would consume first. One player always jumps to the front of the list every time. Puddles O'Duck would be my choice. Let's be real, there are many different ways to prepare a duck that the toughest choice would be how I would want to enjoy such a feast. He would end my hunger and fill my belly with his delicious meat, and I would be forever grateful for sacrificing himself for the greater good of the world.

Well, as I am the most clever of Luffy’s, I will bash the ever loving heck out of all of your heads. I know some of you have had a lot of time to work on your golf swings, but I was a top prospect in baseball before deciding to go the way of the puck. I still have a swing as beautiful as Ken Griffey Jr, and the pent up aggression against a league that has done nothing but try and stop my team from rising to glory. I will spare no one from my wrath as I clear a path for the illustrious goal scorers on the North Stars to put a hurt on the opposing goal tenders by way of endless hat tricks. Plus a priest once told me if I do anything with my fingers crossed it cannot really count against me, so I will be doing this with my fingers crossed meaning no one can be sore. Well they can be sore with all the blows to the head and spears to the groin, but like, no one can be ethically or philosophically sore at me. And this is the purge right? Right. So there you go. I will be handing out concussions like it is Blitz 2000. Man that was a great game. (219)

If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?
So looking at all the logos in the league, we have a lot of like...intangible names like the Rage, the Platoon, the Specters, etc. How is a fish going to fight an inferno? Is it a platoon of eagles as the logo suggests? Because then it would be a convocation not a platoon, but we are going by logo here not name. So how does an eagle fight a dragon? How does the dragon survive a blizzard? I think the eagle eats the fish first, so the barracuda is the first to go, but then the dragon eats the eagle because there is always a bigger fish, But the dragon eats most things. We do not have any knights to slay this dragon, but a dragon can withstand fire so that inferno flame bird thing which also loses to the blizzard...except Blizzard logo is a fox or a wolf....but that would mean two different wolves are getting eaten in this fight...wow this is a tough one. So we have the dragon coming out on top so far. Fish is out first....but nothing can really touch the landscape of the Aurora? Or does the dragon just burn the trees? Alright final answer, I suppose: the barracuda dies first and the Dragon destroys everything else because every thing is like a building (north stars) various types of humans (Syndicate, Monarchs, Renegades etc) and dragons are creatures of imagination, and they breathe fire (that is a reference my friends) meaning Spectors and such cannot stand against it. So that is my answer. The Dragon wins. (267 words)

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?
Well strap in folks because last season it was the Chicago Syndicate that got screwed for being in the Great Lakes Division givins us, the Toronto North Stars, a break from the misery of seeing much less worthy teams battle it out for a cup. This season, however, the pain has once again returned to us here in the great white north. Fifth in the entire league with ninety-three points. Fifth in the league. You could spread out the great lakes into the other divisions and we would all make it. The Final four teams were great lakes plus texas. The only reason we did not get to compete is because of the wackiest play off system ever devised. A system that punishes a team for competing in a war of attrition, and standing near the top of the hill. The Toronto North Stars are the best team to not make the play offs. (154 words)

I am sorry @Dextaria but I am going to have to eat you. Though it would pain me to put you down like a beloved family chicken that no longer produces eggs, I would have to do it. Now do not look at me as some sort of monster, my friends. I have my reasons. I have a heartfelt method to the madness that is having to eat your best friend. And I want you to know that you would not see your death coming, and it would be swift! I have used a hammer at least twice in my life, and I only missed the nail several times. I will be human and gentle, and tenderly cook you in rosemary, lemon, and various other seasonings. William Hartmann generally considers himself to be a pretty clean player out there on the ice, but if there's a game day where everything is legal, he'd definitely have some decisions to make out there. Keeping in mind that this also means everyone else can do whatever they want, Hartmann would have to keep his head up while crossing the blueline. On offense, he'd likely make himself a thorn in the side of every goalie in the league by setting his feed up right in front of the net and getting in their personal space, fighting for every puck. Without needing to worry about goalie interference or slashing penalties, he could be like a honey badger, fighting for every net-front opportunity for a chance to bang in a dirty goal to help his team. As well, with the lack of any rules against high-sticking, he could use his relatively stocky 5'11", 196 lb frame to high-stick, slewfoot and low-bridge his way to victory, just like a Swiss Brad Marchand.

If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?
We've got quite a few ethereal contenders here who could have a good shot, but first we've got to figure some things out. Are the Toronto North Stars, like, actual stars? Are they celebrities? If they're actual stars, then they would pretty much win immediately, but if they're considered to be the CN Tower in their logo, then they're basically screwed. My favourites would have to be the Aurora, Blizzard, or Specters. The Aurora have the ability to take down everyone else's power grids, the Blizzard can freeze out opponents, and the Specters have the element of surprise. Plus, there's not really any way to hurt the Aurora or Blizzard as they're not beings but just elements of the weather, and the Specters are only weak to Ghostbusters. As for the weakest team, I'm gonna have to go with the Seattle Argonauts. I mean, your logo is a boat, that doesn't even have arms. What are you gonna do, splash water on the opposing mascots and annoy them into losing?

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?
The best SHL team not to make the finals was the Edmonton Blizzard. We had an incredible combination of top-end talent and depth all throughout the lineup and especially on defense, and a wonky playoff format and running into the buzzsaw that was the Hamilton Steelhawks yet again kept us down. Julio Tokolosh, Tony Pepperoni, Daniel Laforest and Kyle Sutton all shot the lights out, while players like Jon Forty-One, Conor Tanner and Karlstrasse Scholz chipped in with playmaking abilities. Axel Foley and Johnny Shuffleboard were great pieces on a young but well-developing defense, and Scoochie Stratton held down the fort in net. This team will be even better next season, and showed off their talent and potential this season.
Quote:12. d. Would you rather have to spend a long weekend hanging out in Dallas or Buffalo? What would you do? (+1 TPE)
Dallas would definitely be the more preferred destination for me, mostly because of the weather there. Checking out the cuisine and museums around the downtown core would probably be part of the trip. That said, given that I'm trans and gay, I do wonder if Buffalo would be at least better to go as a tourist in that regard, as Texas is at least stereotyped to have a prickly reputation there.

I was a bit harsh on Texas goaltender Cillian Kavanagh in a previous PT stating I didn't believe he deserved to be on the all star team. I said any average goalie could put up the stats he had in the regular season behind the best western team. Well he definitely deserves playoffs MVP by helping his team upset Hamilton and Buffalo in back to back series. Nobody else on Texas really stood out, it was a team effort relying a lot on Kavanagh to bail them out. A 934 save percentage against such offensive dynamo teams is impressive. These playoffs put Cillian on the map as one of if not the best goalie in the SHL.

a. Quite the easy answer here, it's Buffalo. Their top end talent up front and their depth is better than Texas in my opinion. They also have elite offensive d-men in Augustus Wang and Nicholas Owens, Texas don't have anyone close to PPG production in their back end. Texas is a great team also, don't get me wrong. But they're more defensive minded.
b. It's gotta be Buffalo having the bigger chip on their shoulder. Texas was not expected to make the finals, at this point they're just happy to participate and they have no pressure. Buffalo is seen as the little brother of Hamilton in the Great Lakes and I'm sure they hate that. They want to be taken serious and to so they have to win, an another final loss would not help that perception at all.
c. Both teams have great logos and jerseys. My vote goes to Texas. Before they change it in s41, it was one of the worst the but the rebrand is excellent. The one with the Texas flag is near my favorite, too bad it's not the main one. Grey and black jerseys might seem boring but I much prefer something simple than let's say the Colorado Raptors.
d. I'd say Texas just because Buffalo has pretty similar weather to where I live and it's not like there's much to visit there anyway. Dallas has a lot more to offer I feel like but it's not like I would be that excited to visit, it's just the better option of two poor ones. But sure I'd go to try Texas BBQ, visit different museums and go watch a college football game.

I feel like my junior team the Detroit Falcons is easily the best team on paper to not make it to the finals. I feel like Kelowna was gonna be one of the two teams, they were ahead of the competition talent wise. That other spot was wide open and I really thought it was gonna be us. TPE wise, we had the best defense. Add to this 3 350+ TPE forward lines and we couldn't even win one round. Losing to a Quebec team that lost the majority of their players that help them win the cup this off season is really disappointing to say the least.

If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?
The three most interesting or scary logos would be the Atlanta Inferno, Calgary Dragons, or Seattle Argonauts. To me, the Inferno logo shows a Phoenix, which is powerful in its mythology. Top contender, that is for sure. Dragons are obvious, it is a dragon, we all know how dangerous that would be. The Argonauts are kind of my darkhorse candidate, I don't think they would win, but it would be interesting. I'm also giving the logo the benefit of the doubt that there is an army of gladiators ready for battle, because of not, all of a sudden the odds for the Argonauts go straight down. But an army of good fighters could definitely make things interesting against a dragon. I just can't see who could beat the Inferno's Phoenix, though.
As far as the first eliminated goes, I would have to say maybe the Winnipeg Aurora? You could make arguments of lots of the animal mascots over other animal mascots, like a bull against a buffalo, so I'm not sure any one of those teams would be first. It's just like.. what does that logo do? It's like having a healing character in a game. But it doesn't heal anyone, and also doesn't have healing power. It is just there until it dies.

To some, an interesting part of sports leagues is following celebrity fans (like Jack with the Lakers or 50 Cent with the Knicks last week) - who would be some relevant SHL celebrity fans? Which well-known celebrities would be superfans of which SHL teams?
One huge fan of the New Orleans Specters is probably one you would not expect, it is the one and the only Keith Lee. Now you may say, hey, overdoo, he's a player for the Panthers. Sure. If you say that because you don't count it as a celebrity, I got news for you! He's also a wrestler! If that change anything? But if you ask because he is on the Panthers, I have news for you. He actually hates Los Angeles. Not the team, the players, management, none of that, they're all great. He just hates the city. It's a dumb city he says. With dumb people that live in a dumb city. He misses New Orleans only now because he realizes how good he had it there. People on the streets knew who he was, instead of in LA where he is critiqued for not using a rental scooter.

The Buffalo Stampede do this time around, Texas is definitely the better team defensively. Buffalo has four players that scored 30 or more goals this season, which is very impressive, along with four who managed a point per game pace, and one more that was just a few points off of that. The firepower they have is spread out, and dangerous.

b. This is Texas’s first cup appearance since winning it in S36, while Buffalo is recovering from 2 recent final losses to Hamilton. Which team will have a bigger chip on their shoulder entering the finals.
Texas. Sorry, but Buffalo and Hamilton are both spoiled franchises who hit it lucky in the transfer. They were run well, and have great management, coaching, whatever, but they're ahead of other teams for a while for a reason. One more cup for Buffalo, no one cares. Texas has something to prove, and has been out of finals for a long time. Boohoo Buffalo.

c. Which of these two teams' brandings do you prefer? Take into account colors, logo, name, location, and anything else you consider relevant.
I would say Texas. As far as the city, I think I would pick Buffalo most times. For colours, Texas. It isn't anything special, just black and grey, but I really am not a fan of green and yellow. Texas' logo I also tend to prefer over Buffalo's, neither are bad, neither are top tier for me either, but it is what it is. Lastly, I also prefer Texas' name, in Renegades, to Stampede. So taking the majority, Texas is the winner here.

d. Would you rather have to spend a long weekend hanging out in Dallas or Buffalo? What would you do?
Probably Buffalo. and take it real casual. Just do the basic things, historic tours, some trips to local food places. I'm a little bit of an architecture guy, so viewing some buildings like the Botanical Gardens, or the Martin House would be pretty cool. I'm not too sure what either city offers, but Buffalo appeals to me more for whatever reason.

The SHL Purge will likely be the least eventful thing to happen in recent history because so many of the regular folk around the league are actually normal and reasonable people. These guys, including Augustus Wang, would band together to kill all of the troublemakers and the most disliked members of the SHL community. Wang and his partnership with SHL Kush would provide him and the company safety from all fighting because Wang would be one of the primary distributor of illegal goods. These goods being weapons, paraphernalia, and probably some sort of medical support. You don’t bite the hand that feeds you and unless people are stupid enough to mess with Wang and his posse, he will likely be chilling on the bench smoking a joint with his boys. If Wang is needed to fight then he already has a reputation as being of the dirtiest players in the league and will feast on anyone that dares to test him.

c. Which of these two teams' brandings do you prefer? Take into account colors, logo, name, location, and anything else you consider relevant.
d. Would you rather have to spend a long weekend hanging out in Dallas or Buffalo? What would you do?
a.) The Buffalo Stampede definitely have more offensive firepower in their arsenal with some elite players such as Monkey D. Luffy, Aron Hernadivic and Augustus Wang. These 3 have been some of the most important players in the Stampede’s run to the finals and it is clear that they are the difference makers between the two teams. (56 Words)
b.) Clearly the Buffalo Stampede have the bigger chip on their shoulder because they are looking for vengeance after 2 disappointing finals appearances to say the least. c.) The Buffalo Stampede have the better branding simply based on their team colors. The Texas Renegades’ color scheme of black, grey and white are way too simple and boring. When compared to the green and yellow of the Stampede, it is clear that the Stampede have more eye-catching uniforms and have better looking players to accentuate that difference. (58 Words)
d.) I’d probably want to spend my weekend out in Dallas not for any hockey reasons, but to go shoot guns and enjoy the redneck culture that is ever-present in Texas. There’s better food and I get to wear shorts clothing suited for hotter weather. Plus, the desert hikes look pretty cool. (51 Words)
