Personally I'd say 80 feels pretty inconsequential, but any healthy season in a sim league is reason to celebrate, even if its just something small like a fancy "80th" patch on jerseys or something.

80 isn't really a number to celebrate unless it's special to the player or the team. At this point, just gear up for the centennial celebrations and don't worry about 80.

For someone who's been here since roughly season five, I think that season 80 is a stepping stone for the big celebration on the way to 100. Although I do think that season 80 should be celebrated for everyone's hard work, season 75 felt like it was yesterday.

Personally I see 80 as a stepping stone type of milestone where it's cool that we reached it but it's not as exciting of a number as say 75 or 50 or 100.

I think the league should celebrate 80 if it feels celebratory. Any occasion that produces sufficient joy for celebration is worth taking the time to celebrate.

Zero reason to celebrate 80. Not really a milestone at all, can't think of any league that would celebrate that number. Kind of a silly question.

I believe that every season is an important milestone for a league like ours. The fact that this league is still thriving and improving is a testament to the hard work of so many people.

I think every 10th season for a league that's been around this long is definitely an occasion to celebrate, and any excuse to pull out all the stops and do special events to thank all the fans along the way is a good perk too.

80 years is cool, every 10 years is a good milestone to celebrate, but I don’t think they are nearly as important as the 25 50 and 75 celebrations

I personally think it will be an important step for the league given we had a relatively strong draft class and will mark the creation of a broadcast team/return of the audit team.

The S80 season is 20 seasons before the S100 season and already 30 seasons behind the S50 seasons. Other than that, this is just one more season in this beautiful league that is the SHL.

I think every 5 seasons until season 100 is a milestone, but the moment you reach season 100, it should be either every 10 or 20 seasons. A potential way that it could be celebrated is to bring back something that was closed off (parlays maybe...?) for example.

I think 80 seasons qualify for a big celebration. It isn't easy to run a sim league, much less for 80 seasons. It shows the quality of the work of many people, and those people should be recognized.

If you think about it, the only reason we bat an eye at the 80th season is because we always count in tens. Much like the 100th season will be, but that will be more significant because it would be ten tens. If we counted by eights though, the 80th season would be a whole exciting thing. So the lesson here is that we should celebrate all seasons that we are blessed with in this beautiful league!
