Looking back on recent years and seasons and its clear that Texas seems to enjoy their berth near the top or at the top of the division. I for one am in favor of removing competition in any way I can, so I would get rid of them.

The SMJHL has done a really good job with the conference layout, the only thing I would change is swapping Great Falls and Ottawa, even though Great Falls is more north, it makes more sense with all the USA teams being in the same conference.(Ignoring that Anchorage is in Alaska.)
This one is easy for me take out the dominate Texas team and replace them with Montreal so I can savour defeating them every season during my time in NOLA - this is for the story line by the way - I actually have no bad blood towards them! But lets swap em so I can still beat em a bunch.

In the central I would remove New Orleans and replace them with Philadelphia. This is purely because I think the Northeast division could stand to do a little more traveling like the rest of us.

If I could remove a team from my division I would remove Toronto. I feel like we have played them quite a bit in recent years and would like to change it up with literally any team.

well I am not sure changing a single team in the SMJHL would change much for the playoffs. So, radicle plan change the playoff themselves and don't have conferences for seedings, just seed 1 -16 and let's go.

I'd have to replace Newfoundland not only because they feel like the biggest threat currently to QCC but just the fact that Newfoundland is a real place and the few Newfy's I've met are too good at hockey when I play against them.
