I would actually enjoy having McGuire there. I like him enough.

One thing that I really want is easier negotiations on Be a GM, like you said paying 2 1sts for 3rd liners because they aren't on the trade block makes no sense.
The other thing that NHL 14 really needs is some more realistic draft ranking, it really annoys me to see guys like Morgan Rielly and Alex Galchenyuk going in the 4-5th rounds....you can get some of the best real life prospects in the 6th and 7th rounds it really takes out the realism imo.

Be a GM
1. Trading: Should be harder to get players who are not on the block. You should not be able to go traded for any player you want. Just like in real life. Makes the game mode more realistic.
2. Draft System: The overall feel of the draft should be improved. NBA 2k games you actually go into the room etc... It makes it look nice. Also there should be surpises in every draft. For example you draft a player thats 3 stars in the 5th round. After a year or so his potential rises to 4stars or whatever. Have like 5 random players like this every draft.
3. NHL.com: Have a sub-menua called NHL.com. You go on there to look up stats etc... Have articles get posted for events that are happening. For example a star player gets injured or a blockbuster deal is made. Even a player requesting a trade!
