S61 PT#1- A Sim-ple Day

Getting ready for a game is a process. Everyone knows that goalies have weird rituals, or are extremely superstitious. For Jon St. Ark, he tries to repeat a routine throughout the day so that its one less thing he has to think about prior to game time. For a night game, he likes to get up before 9am and have a small breakfast. Usually cereal or some sort of breakfast bar. From there, he goes for a quick run to try and loosen up before having a large lunch. Once we get closer to game time, Jon heads down to the arena to stretch and get some treatment for any lingering injuries. Prior to the game, he avoids dinner but tries to hydrate as much as possible. As game time arrives, Jon suits up in his gear and takes some shots from the team during warm up, specifically requesting low shots and shots to his glove side. Then the game begins and we get rolling.

I wake up at 3am because my sim went to bed at 7pm because i can fall asleep whenever I want even if i'm not very tired. It is still dark. I need to pee. I go to the bathroom and I pee. I wash my hands. I then go to the kitchen and I make goopy carbonara because I can eat whatever I want whenever I want. I burn the food and my oven to a crisp and sweep up the dust. I am now sad and I have a quick meal of juice for 5 simoleans. That doesn't help my hunger much. A new stove appears where the old one used to be and I am 1,000 simoleans poorer. Which sucks because I only paid 2000 simoleans for the land that this house is on so the economy in this world is fucked.

I then watch TV and then practice my speeches in the mirror for 10 hours until game time.

So while I did play sims one to three, mostly 2nd one, can't say I have any recent memory of it. But as I remember it was always very goal oriented living for my sims so it would be fit for them to be and elite athlete. I would expect them to start out early by eating breakfast and calling someone to clean up the place while my player goes to work on his regular 4 days a week job as mid tier SHL player. But as careers in sims definitely are not super predictable once he hits good enough athlete skills and makes few more friends I would expect him to move up in ladder to become ISFL star, maybe quarterback, while getting even higher daily salary to make some nice and instant home renovations. Either way he would need a wife or roommate he currently doesn't have to make sure there is always good food on the fridge so he doesn't need to learn and spend his time on those as he needs to focus on his career to finally hit that soccer superstar status.

Mikhail Novikov opens his eyes. He is at hte bottom of his swimming pool because the ladder magically disappeared off of the side. Again. "Fim Flam!!!" He exclaims, shaking his fist to the sky. A couple of moments later, a ladder magically appears on the side of the pool. He exits the pool, not that he could simply climb out of the side of anything and heads back inside. The Grim Reaper is there, and Novikov chooses to flirt with him, trying to Woohoo the grim reaper. However, that doesn't go well and the Grim Reaper borrows novikov to go to heaven and stuff. The sim indicator bar above his head is definitely red as fuck by this point. However, the grim reaper shows no mercy and takes him up to heaven. Or hell. Who knows. But what I do know is that Noivkov's career with the Stampede and Armada had been cut short by this.

Anyone who has played the sims knows how ridiculously easy it is to min-max every day for optimal gain. But the first thing I do is obviously turn up the lifespan. This would presumably make it possible to play for longer before hitting regression since that is how lifespan turn up in the sims works. Anyway with that out of the way the first thing I need to do is to become a ripped monster. I will assume my player has accumulated all of the contract money in career so far. Sim work should be for 5 days a week and two days free. This means I will optimize the day (life) in the following way:

Sleep until 2 hours before the job (early practise day because the sims, while good, has limitations which means no gamedays), visit bathroom - head immediately to the shower to minimise wasted time and maximise hygiene gain. Then eat leftovers for breakfast. After coming back home these three things are going to happen:
If no leftovers left cook a dinner meal, store the leftovers for breakfast and dinner, else eat leftovers.
Depending on mood, either watch TV/play computer games/anything like that and thenrun at threadmill or whatever excercise machine available to get ripped or the other way around.

My 7th day storage was a trip to the coffee store cause you know I can't have a new port without a coffee. After that I pet my cat's you know I've given head bops shit like that pretty much just normal fitted stuff. Once that's all over I take a little hike over to Trellas to see if hes still holding the cannon cause you know we've got to spray the street sweeper on these bitchdd. After that I try to hype up the boys with another Katy Perry song while doing mariachi banned imitations. I meant to say mark arena see I forgot how to say that word cause it's been so long since anyone's done it it was the dance of 1996 I should remember I was 1996. Damn son I'm getting fucking old maybe my semi shiver required to get a backrub or not head bop my kitties because that requires me to bend over.

Game days essentially start the night before with a good meal and a good night’s sleep. In the morning, the team meets at the arena usually for a “pre-game skate” and a light practice to get physically and mentally prepared for the game. We also watch videos to highlight the tendencies of our opponents and how we can exploit them. After this, I go home and make my pre-game meal which consists of chicken, pasta, a side of vegetables, and salad. I eat this at around 12:30 pm for a 7 pm game. Up until this point in the day, I try to keep it light and lose mentally as this I have found works best for me. Once I’ve cleaned up, I go take a nap (one of my favorite parts of game day prep!) for a couple of hours. I use music to get pumped up while getting showered and dressed to head over to the arena. I arrive at the arena 2.5 hours before the game. I grab a coffee and spend a short amount of time engaging with the rest of the team. Next, I have an extensive body preparation routine that has been added to as I’ve got older to get my body feeling its best by the time I get on the ice. During this time, I listen to music that I have carefully selected to either calm me if I’m feeling over-excited to give me energy if I am feeling I need a boost. This leads right up to the time I need to get my gear on and then it’s GAME TIME!

I'll describe an off day as the sim Jay Sink. At a time decided by his omnipotent, mouse-wielding master, Jay Sink wakes up. I usually try to min-max in games, so I imagine that I/the player playing as Jay Sink would act similarly. Jay Sink would wake up as early as was sensible given his energy need - no time or need for frivolous additional rest - and then would be straight into the gym after eating breakfast. Jay Sink's athletic skill would be max, or as close to it as possible, and despite all the female attention he'd undoubtedly receive he'd ignore all the compliments and continue pumping iron. After his workout, Jay Sink would head home to eat lunch. His cooking skill is very poor, and as a player entering his fourth season in the SMJHL, Jay Sink doesn't have many endorsement deals and can't afford to order takeout every day. Consequently, he'd probably set the kitchen on fire in classic Sims fashion and the rest of the day would be spent flailing his arms and generally looking panicked as the fire department put out the fire in his home. On a typical sim day, I wake up and start my day with my daily trip to the restroom. As I sit down my body is covered in this strange blurred effect and I do my business. After that I go to the kitchen and make more macaroni than a whole house could eat and proceed to leave it on the table without taking a bowl because I get distracted by the door bell. It's Bella Goth and she wants to hang out, but I ignore her and go for a swim instead. Mid way through my swim the world just stops for a moment and all I can hear is smooth jazz and what sounds like clicking. When it all starts again I realize that the pool ladder is missing and that all I can do is swim. I continue to swim until I finally collapse and drown. The grim reaper shows up and Bella plays him in rock paper scissors for my life. She wins and I am restored to the living only for the world to freeze and the jazz to play again. Upon returning to normal, the ladder back. I get out and go to bed.

Thank you @Ragnar  for the Sig!

I usually wake up, then go to the bathroom, wash my hands and face after and all that stuff. Then its time to make some coffee and breakfast, maybe some toast with cheese and ham, or cereal if im too lazy or not feeling bread. Then i eat and have a big mug of coffee. Start up my computer. Check reddit, discord all the good stuff. Then hop on the SHL website and check if theres any new drama or if mock draft TPE has been posted yet. Check out medias, deep dives and all that. Then i go on discord and start posting emojis and other dumb stuff in my teams discord. and check out if i missed anything else on the other SHL discords im in. Then its time to shower and get a ride to the rink from a teammate. Come back home about 3-4 hours later and cook up another meal, maybe some leftovers from the fridge if feeling lazy. Then its time to shower again and head to bed.

A day in the life of my sim:

4 am: wake up. this is a video game, so there are no real consequences. my character will be incredibly sleep deprivied.

4:15 am: shower. a clean body is a happy body.

4:30 am: run until breakfast. we need to be in shape to stay on the ice!

6 am: eat breakfast. brekky is the most important meal of the day, and we're serving it up willie's way. eggs, toast, bacon, a waffle, and OJ. this boy likes to eat!

7 am: lift weights. I don't think I can specify which weights I lift in the sims, so I won't specify here either. we lift weights to make our muscles bigger, so we can hide our emotions in our muscles

10 am: eat snack. this boy likes to eat!

10:30 am: read books. I'm not sure what the "get smart" activity is in the sims, so I'm just going to put read books here.

noon: eat lunch. this boy likes to eat!

1 pm: more books. more of the get smart activity.

4 pm: now that we are smart, back to running. we run until dinner.

6 pm: eat dinner. this boy likes to eat!

7 pm: ice time. do hockey drills and practice.

10 pm: eat snack. this boy likes to eat!

10:30 pm: read books. more smarter makes willie more better.

midnight: sleep.

As you can see, sleep is not important in the sims (I assume). We read books to get my sim's intellect up, then lift weights and run to get their fitness up. My sim is well fed and also has a nice 3 hour block of time carved out for hockey every day.

I can't tell if people actually wanted a sims sim related PT, or if this is a clever pun and people actually wanted a well SHL sim related PT, probably both actually. Either way I haven't played sims in so long, I think i just spam worked to get promoted to make money and build a nicer house. So Daniel Smeb in his daily sim life would probably do the same, he doesn't really need a promotion since he's done everything already, but maybe he can get higher pay somehow since he's been broke for a few seasons now through hard work. Then he could use that money to get a nice house built which he still probably wouldn't use since he just crashes at his fellow Smeb's places and steals their food. He'd also probably spent most of his off days working out/training to get those skills up, and probably forgetting to eat or go to the bathroom and almost getting himself killed.

“Raannt, Raannt, Raant!” goes the alarm. Spicy slams a meaty hand down on it. Staggering to bathroom, Spicy stares at the clogged and broken toilet.  Spicy grumbles and begins to bounce up and down fighting the urge to go. Finally deciding to move on to the shower, Spicy finds relief and gets cleaned up. Next it’s off to the kitchen to find breakfast. Skirting the puddle of water coming from the dishwasher, Spicy searches for something to eat as his stomach starts to grumble. Looking up, he complains to the sky while holding his stomach. Finally after much searching, sustenance is found. Now, on to the obligatory surfing of the internet and fiddling with the television. Soon boredom has once again set in and Spicy realizes that it’s time to get ready for practice. Spicy heads back upstairs, gets dressed, and packs his work out gear. Before heading back down the stairs, Spicy pauses to turn on a lamp.  As Spicy starts to head outside to wait on the bus to arrive, the lamp starts to spark and burst into flames, catching the house on fire. Spicy makes it to the curb just as the bus pulls up. Another disaster averted by  our hero.                                                                                                                                                                 204 Words

Obviously on game days, NeverBrokeAgain YoungBoy wakes up and takes a shower and makes his world famous breakfast of toast and a Twizzler. After that he makes his way down to the rink where he takes the ice with his teammates on the Vancouver Whalers for morning skate. After morning skate, YoungBoy leaves the rink and goes on a date with one of his women to a nice restaurant and has his pre-match steak. After he gets a happy ending, YoungBoy makes his way back to the rink and gets ready for game time. Between periods, YoungBoy has a single Twizzler if the Whalers are up in the period. If his team is down after the period, he has a Twizzler for each goal his team is down by as punishment for allowing the goals. After the game, YoungBoy goes back to his penthouse apartment where one more of his women prepared him a nice dinner and dessert, and then goes onto bed.
