Head Office singing solo you can't hear him
I love me some Radiohead lyrics. Most notably 'Fitter Happier':

I'm not really much for finding meaning in lyrics as I used to be, but some lyrics that have always stuck with me are from the chorus of song "Tired of Sleep" by (hed) PE (plus the guitar breakdown here is so simple yet hits so hard). I've always interpreted the song to be about the confusing and exhausting ways of the world we live in.
I'm tired of waiting I'm tired of sleeping Every time I close my eyes I know I'm missing something I'm tired of wondering what I'm so fucking tired of asking Always needing and wanting something I'm tired of thinking Tired of wondering what

My favourite lyrics are from song called Parole Nuove by Einar, Italian artist:
E giuro che se te ne vai, non ti verrò a cercare Camminerò lontano dal tuo cuore E giuro che se te ne vai, cancellerò il tuo nome Riscriverò l'amore con parole nuove Riscriverò l'amore con parole nuove Riscriverò l'amore con parole nuove I don't know exact meaning of those words and I don't ever want to know but that is just my favourite part of the song I listened to a lot when I was walking out my dog who unfortunately isn't anymore here among us. It is a beautiful and calm song which just brings good memories about my dog.

I am not that big in to any song lyrics but "We Got the Moves" from Eskimo Callboy is pretty much my life anhem. I am alive and free and I sip the booze on a sunny beach.

The lyrics from the Grievous Angel's tune, From Red Deer To Margaree, resonate with a part of my life when I was trying to balance work, extended career and family, During this time I spent a lot of hours behind the wheel of my pick-up:
Thunder bay is two hours from sight We left the flatlands late last night. As sunlight rises on a distant sky and says good morning to our tired eyes. You look to me and I know that its alright An old country song is ringing in my head I sure do feel tired but at least I aint dead you sleep so sound on my shoulder as I take the drivers wheel I followed you from Red Deer to Margaree.

There are so many great songs with fantastic lyrics that I like, however I heard a song and really liked it and the lyrics. It was If I Would Have Known by Kyle Hume:
If I would have known That you wouldn't be here anymore I would have made the moments last a little longer 'Cause now I'm alone And you're just a memory in my mind I would have given anything to say goodbye

"It's not about forcing happiness, it's about not letting sadness win"
- Local Man Ruins Everything, The Wonder Years These lyrics really stood out to me when I was growing up. I always smirk when I hear it on this track - reminds me of harder times and how I overcame those to become the man I am today.

Please, don't say that you've seen him
She's probably got her life laid out Just let me dream a little more My heart takes up all my strength No more can I think of them No more can I hold her in my thoughts Don't say that she needs him That she needs him (Her's - She needs him) I like this song just overall cause it's about wanting something you're too afraid to go for, so you just beg that it stays there while you're too afraid and then justifying it by thinking you're not good enough for it anyway. /
Big thanks to Pythonic(first sig evah), Sloth(first LAP sig<3) and Ragnar for their sigs<3

SMJHL HO PEANUT!
When I saw this prompt, my mind completely blanked on what song lyric or lyrics made an impression to me. Then, as I was reading what everyone else had put and it hit home like truth to me.
From the musical RENT (written by Jonathan Larsen). There's only us, there's only this Forget regret, or life is your's to miss No other path, no other way No day but today. Life is fragile. Any day could really be our last. Enjoy today.

You kicked me when I was down, but what you say, just (Don't hurt me) That's right (It don't hurt me) I don need you (No more) Don't wanna see you (No more)" No Love by Eminem featuring Lil Wayne I just love this song, and it's my favorite Wayne song besides Uproar. The song is also super inspirational and can help you get through life.

From God's Perspective (Bo Burnham)
You argue and you bicker and you fight Atheists and Catholics, Jews and Hindus argue day and night Over what they think is true But no one entertains the thought that maybe God does not believe in you I like this lyric because, in the middle of a comedy skit, it challenges the idea of an all-knowing god being all-forgiving

My username is a reference to the Architects song, Memento Mori. The guitarist and songwriter lost his fight with cancer shortly after the release of the album it appears on, and the song is about him accepting his likely death. It's tragic, and grounding to hear someone contemplate their own death as they feel it approaching.
