I think SHL should add Injuries and suspensions, to make it seem more realistic, for example you can use TPE for "Durability" (Which higher=less injuries) and "Aggressiveness" (Higher=More Suspensions)

I would like to see the SHL and nhl for that matter go back to the 1 through 8 seeding for the playoffs. would make for more compelling matchups and makes it better for the divisions that have 4 representatives.

I want to see more use of player archetype and style in the SHL. There's roleplay for media but it generally seems pretty divorced from what a player actually is doing due to the meta that has been established with the way that we use the game.

One thing I would love to see the NHL copy from the SHL is paying their players for making chirps/tweets/xeets (thanks Elon......). Imagine how fun it'd be if NHL players were given financial incentive to go on Twitter/X and talk trash, it'd be amazing.

Inspired by recent events, Free Agency could be a bigger deal in SHL. That'd require people to want to leave their team and not go to a specific team, I guess. That would also probably require taking away everyone's money and restarting, make money tougher to come by and more valuable. I don't know, figure something out, I'm just pitching a vague concept it's up to more intelligent people to figure it out. Free agent frenzy!!!
One of my favorite part of the SHL is how we handle the draft, which is similar to what the NHL does and it think it should be kept that way. It’s one of the few things in the league that seems to bring a significant number of users together all at once.

Still waiting for the NHL to adopt this as well, but IIHF point scoring. 3 for a regulation win, 2 for OT win, 1 for OT loss and 0 for regulation loss. It's always made the most sense. Why reward teams for dragging a game to OT?
An aspect I wish would translate from the NHL to the SHL would be rewarding skills/aptitude rather than just grinding the same tasks.

I know FHM has fighting, but we need a whole lot more of it. It's not uncommon to see players drop the gloves and give the old right cross on the real ice, but how is BH gonna win the SHL Heavyweight Championship if he only gets one fight a season? Let's get it on!
Players missing time. I've felt from day one that no injuries and no suspensions is, while understandable, a weird way to run the league - obviously nobody would like to see their player's career cut short through injury but there are surely ways to work something into the rules so a player who does suffer that gets some bonuses for their next character.
