The goalie is the anchor of the team. They keep them afloat and they keep them steady. Texas has been very fortunate to have a very hard working and reliable goalie for the past few seasons. Anthony Dionne seems like he's been part of the team for as long as anyone can remember! Boots and Dionne have a great on and off ice relationship. Having both is important in the game of hockey because in friendship you develop trust which is something you need on the ice as well as off. Boots knows he can trust Dionne to make the stop if he doesn't get to the puck in time and that goes the other way as well. Dionne trusts Boots to block a lane or do his best to block a shot so he can cover a bigger area. Boots will always tap Dionne's pads after a huge save or apologize if he's on the ice for a goal even if he's not at fault. Together they are a team and together they play the full length of the ice. In between play and during breaks Dionne will always skate up to the bench to hear from his teammates as well as his back up Roman so they can cheer each other on as well. The game is a team effort and we're all in it together.

In all honestly Sad Ketchup of the Chicago Syndicate of the Simulation Hockey League does not do too much to help the goalies if he was being honest. Like Sad Ketchup does play a solid two way game most of the time, but other than that he does not really help per say. The Chicago Syndicate goalie tends to like to be left alone and not bothered, and Sad Ketchup hates feeling like he is being too much or overwhelming others, so Sad Ketchup overall just keeps to himself. He likes to play his solid two way game to help his goalies out, and just keep the puck out of the defensive zone and into the offensive zone. That is the best way to help the goalie, is to limit the chances they face especially the high danger chances. If Sad Ketchup can keep the scoring chances low, and keep shots to the outside, then he is doing a good job helping his goalies and that is all his goalies expect from him in the game.

Many would expect a Halloween movie from the Carolina team to be about the ocean or an attack from the Kraken. That isn’t the theme for this year’s movie. This year, the team is putting together a horror film with the focus on fire. Although not evil in real life, the star of the movie is AJ who’s love of fire turns them evil. AJ will stop at nothing to just feel the heat of a growing burn, hear the crackle of wood burning or see the glow of orange and yellow flames. AJ doesn’t linger at one fire long though. If they get caught, their lighter gets taken away. Off to the next burn location they go. One by one, the movie follows other Kraken players around their daily lives as they get consumed by flames. The last team member remaining is Kim Chaewon, who manages to K-pop dance their way into AJ’s heart. This new friendship sparks (pun intended) a love of water for AJ. You’ll have to wait for the sequel to find out what happens then.

Barcus Juneau has always known that goalies are a bit different than other players. When his little brother announced that he was switching from defence to goalie, Barcus wasn't surprised; his brother was always kind of weird. But that didn't stop Barcus from supporting his brother, since he knew that goalies are the backbone of any successful team.

Barcus knows that you don't treat goalies the same way you treat skaters. While the skaters are joking and screwing around together in the locker room before the game, Barcus knows that you leave the starting goalie alone. He doesn't know what kind of meditation, visualization, or other voodoo might be going on the the mind of the goalie, but he knows to just stay away.

On the ice during warm-up, Barcus is careful to give the goalies a feel for the puck. No wicked slap shots, no groin-rending snap shots to the low corner, just enough contact to let the goalie know he's stopping the puck and that that is the most natural thing in the world.

In-game, it's all about confidence. Barcus is a positive voice of encouragement when saves are made, and a consoling support when the puck goes in. No goalie has a better friend on the ice than Barcus Juneau.

Goalies must stay humble and grounded to avoid losing focus due to overconfidence. Marian can assist goalies by maintaining strong defense, clearing the area in front of the net, and communicating well on the ice. Goalies in hockey are a special breed of human let alone player and as a result they need a special amount of time and handling. Being a defenseman my job is to give the tender the best job to achieve their best ability between the pipes and often that means just leaving them alone. Most netminders dont need you to tell them you are sorry or they had bad luck. Most know it was their fault and their responsibility alone, as much as this is a team sport in the end its their only job to stop the puck and they need to do that on every shot. Some are different and like to talk about it, others curse and slam their sticks. But most just stay in their own head, their zone and take full ownership of the goals let in. Even when it was those lazy forwards fault for not back checking.

Jen does all she can to help her goalies stay focused during games. She knows that goalies are the backbone of every team, and they’re the only players who play all 60 minutes of a game, so she knows they have to be at their best. Thankfully, she has good rapport with the current goalie for the Dragons, Anastasia Soderstrom. They were part of the same class, and while they played on different teams in the J, they’ve always had a friendship, especially since they were both drafted to Calgary. Jen will usually take the most shots on Anastasia in warmups to get her ready for the game (and to get Jen warmed up as well). When Anastasia does give up a goal, Jen will skate over to her to keep her tuned into the game and make sure she isn’t beating herself up. During intermission Anastasia is as much a part of the team as the skaters and will typically be invited to hang out with Jen, Anna, and James.

Written Option 2: You could make an argument that goalies is the most important part of the team and to compete at highest level you need yours to be at their best. Goalies need to stay on top of their game for all of the 60 minutes to give their team a chance to win, part of it is based on physicality but mental side is also very important. For SKATERS: How does your player help your goalie stay focused during the game? How does your player help the goalie get in form during warm up? Or help them keep their head cool after the letting in a goal? Do they interact with them during the intermission?

Goalies are a different type of beast and Oskar learned at a young age it's best not to try and understand them, but instead stay out of their way and make them as comfortable as possible. Keep the lines of communication open during warmups and during the game, but don't be surprised if they appear dismissive or straight up ignore you. They have the hardest job on the ice and when they're in the zone you don't mess with it. The last season or so Oskar has noticed that Justin enjoys sipping a macchiato from the arena cafe in the mornings. He's taken it upon himself to make sure Justin gets his macchiato every game day and practice, especially if we're coming off a less than ideal game. It was starting to burn a hole in his pocket, so lately he's delegated the job to some of the new faces on the team, especially the young ones looking to suck up to the team veterans.

Option 1: Of course it's going to involve hockey. Simo's magnus opus pans out like this: with the playoffs looming, Seattle's brave young Argonauts insist on practising late into the night at the arena proper when, one by one, things start to go awry. The lights flicker on and off and when they stop malfunctioning...gasp! Will Tomlander's bloodstained jersey is found in the penalty box! A Zamboni switches itself on with no driver and chugs out onto the ice, slowly resurfacing the pristine surface completely unaided - and when the spooked team escape to the locker room, it's Jesus Murphy who's now missing! Over the course of the 15-minute spot, one by one the bold Argonauts are picked off by an assailant unknown - if you want to know more, well, you'll have to watch to find out who's left standing.

All Simo had to say when he submitted his script was "There will be blood".

Assuming Viktor ever finishes changing the light bulbs, he's really going to start thinking about blaming management for how very much he's starting to feel his age. The PR team certainly won't be getting their weekly batch of homemade cookies until Viktor finishes making up for their latest shortcomings. Now, as for the movie itself: There's nothing quite like your classic monster movie, and he's going to chuck in some Groundhog Day flair while he's at it.

It won't be a literal hockey movie so much as an allusion/homage to the LAP/SFP rivalry. A panther monster is far too on the nose, so Viktor's going to go with his greatest fear: a mascot. He'd pass out trying to design said mascot, so he's leaving that up to a teammate. Whatever it ends up being will murder the lead, who will be played by ancient SFP goalie Justin Time, only for Justin to startle awake back at the beginning of that fateful day, over and over. Vik is definitely only contributing as a writer, but he's got plenty of teammates who would be more than happy to take the public-facing roles in the movie.

Written Prompt #1: The tilted movie “The Puck” is about a mutated hockey puck that terrorizes former and IA SHL hockey players. My player would be the main character of this film as we discover the weakness to a sentient puck. You would think that fire is sufficient but in the interest of workers right and safety, fire could not be procured. The budget allows for at least two on-screen deaths but the insurance doesn’t cover any true injuries from stunts or otherwise.

As we leave the rink, the puck follows my player and cracks the ice behind it, drowning the team still left in the stadium. It is a movie death that is not coveted by investors. The movie ends with the hockey puck being seanced by an expert in the field and a wooden stake through its core. This budgetless movie gains 60% user score on Rotten Tomatoes.

To help promote the Ottawa Highlanders the team will be filming a horror movie will set in the Scottish Highlands. Unfortunately, Ottawa born actor Brendan Fraser was busy so the team has turned to the roster to fill out the cast. Spaceman Spiff will direct, because the PR department told him too, but it also means he won't have to be in front of the camera. He has given the lead role to co-GM and leading scorer Easton Schaffer as the leader of a small group of people attempting to survive a haunted night in the Highlands. Joining Easton is the rest of the roster in various supporting roles including the masked stranger Bishop Van Apeldoorn, veteran highland resident Peyton Campeau, and Hotdog Lunch under his own name as a character futilely trying his best to keep the others fed with hotdogs while they run for safety. The group is quickly whittled down to a handful with the rookies getting the earliest, and possibly the best, death scenes. In the end it turns out that the Highlands weren't haunted at all. Hotdog Lunch had served spoiled food and accidentally killed the entire team.
