Thinking it may be Texas's season. They have a great goal tending duo so hopefully that will let them compete. Playoffs are never what you think so it's really anyone's game but I think Texas looks good.

Cup favorites for this season? Well that is an easy one. Hamilton leads the standings as we speak and currently has an amazing goal differential. The team has some of the best coaches in the entire league. As a result, I will confidently say that the Steelhawks will go for a repeat.

Because FHM is a fickle mistress that loves to fuck with everyone's lives. I feel like the Maine Timber will hoist the 4 Star Cup, and the Hamilton Steelhawks with hoist the championship. Why though, you say. Maine isn't good this year and Hamilton is very good. Why are you choosing dichotomies to win their respective cups? Well Ill tell you. I will refer you to my first sentence. FHM IS A FICKLE MISTRESS!!! WHERE THINGS DONT MAKE SENSE.

Hamilton. It is always Hamilton. It will be Hamilton for the foreseeable future. It sucks for most of the league, but we are just too good.

Statistically, You should pick the Hamilton as the cup contender untill they do not win for 3 seasons straight. Then it would be safe to pick any other team. Calgary has a rocking future we could go as Cup favorite.

Even though the chicago syndicate have come back down to earth a little since we started the season 18-0, I think we still have a really strong case for being cup favorites. We have dropped a couple of silly games here and there throughout the season, but I think most of that can be attributed to FHM deciding to be hilarious. We have several guys putting up really good numbers, and we are looking pretty strong against the teams that are usually big contenders that give us trouble (we're 3-2 in the season series against HAM with one game left to play, 2-2 with Buffalo with two games left to play against them, and we also beat Texas both times we played them), so as long as we can keep our feet on the gas and stay out of that cursed Great Lakes playoffs snub spot, I think we have a really good shot at it.

The favorite to win the cup definitely is the team that comes out on top of the Atlantic division. I'm crazy you might think, but no, there's reason. This team has the experience to battle tough fights throughout the season, they are used to tough losses more than any other team in another division. Come out on top and aim for the sky is the motto for the Atlantic division, and how things look, Atlanta is the team to beat for the cup if they don't get bapped.

Anyone that says anything but Hamilton should book a meeting with a shrink. FHM does not do surprises, so it will be an easy victory for the boys in Hamilton

Everyone is probably picking the Steelhawks and I can't blame them. However there is one team that has taken Hamilton to game 7 in both their most recent cup wins and that is the Edmonton Blizzard. When the Blizzard and Steelhawks inevitably meet again this post season, look for Edmonton to steal the series and win their first cup in 10 seasons.

Seems the consensus of opinion is on a Ham cup. But, I’ll throw my 2 cents in that Texas makes it a black and gray bannered year next year by hoisting the SHL Challenge Cup. So my “Favorite” is Texas

The playoffs do seem to bring out a different level of success for some teams over others - the Great Lakes is still offering up prime candidates, and outside of Texas I don't see a non-GL team winning the Cup. I'm going to say that if Doyle heats up for the playoffs, Buffalo is the favourite for the cup, otherwise Hamilton pulling off a repeat is the most likely outcome.
Thank you to Ham and Sulo for the sigs!

I think the favorite to win the cup is Chicago. They are still one of the deepest teams and they didn't lose anything like Hamilton did. I think this may be their last chance to hoist the cup before expansion takes a big bite out of the great lakes conference
