Written Option 1: Does your player play pranks on their teammates? If so, what kinds of pranks do they pull on them? How do your teammates react to these pranks? If your player isn’t the type to pull pranks themselves, are they the target of any pranks? Do they fall for them if they can be avoided? Feel free to describe how your player pranks their teammate or their reaction to getting pranked themselves!

In my opinion, pranks are an invaluable part of team building. It is important that these pranks are well-meaning, and nothing that someone who be uncomfortable with, but the best way to bond as a group is to be able to laugh together and be able to laugh at yourself. Small things are ok, things like putting plastic wrap over the toilet bowl so the pee goes everywhere, or the pencil line around the quarter where they have to roll it down their face and end up with a pencil line down their face without even knowing. Another good one, but this one needs to be done correctly and to the right person, otherwise it could go very wrong. A nice piece of clear tape over the skate blade so when they go out on the ice they fall down. It is a very funny one, but the team needs to be winning so everyone, including the person that falls, needs to be in a good mood.

I feel like we have a very broad understanding of the word "trick" here. Nathaniel doesn't like it, but the way refs call penalties and try to roughly even up calls every game they have created a system where you have to play along the line and a lot of times over it, especially in the playoffs. If you play dirty you might get the first penalty, but they refs are going to try their best to even up, and you might even get a retaliation slash or cross check immediately. If you don't play at the edge, then the opposition is going to take less wear and tear over the course of a series. You want them dreading playing you. Not wanting to come near the crease because they know they will be getting a cross check on their spine. Be in their head when they aren't on the ice, so they can't think about how to meat you. Make them think about the upcoming game, and maybe even lose some sleep over knowing what's coming.

Option 2:

Stavros Kondos is not about playing dirty to win, he is confident in his abilities, and his teams abilities. Playing dirty is a skid mark on the game, and the other players that play to improve the game and showcase their talent. Players who to try to play dirty by hurting other players, or diving to draw penalties does not improve the game, and does not make it better for our fans and everyone who watches the game. If players are abusing this to get an advantage they should be fined or suspended as this is the only way to get people to stop doing these kind of actions to improve the game. Kondos will always aim to play his game on the ice, focusing on talent and hard work. At the end of the day, the team that works the hardest will ultimately be the team that succeeds, so it starts with us to constantly play good hockey and the rest will follow.

I've been around the league for a while now, in and out anyway, and using tricks to your advantage is just part of the game. But what I've decided to do is trick people by not doing tricks. So when it looks like I'm about to dodge an opponent with my skating skill, I'm just going to run right into them. Rather than the fakeout before the shot I'm just going to take the shot. But is not doing the trick now the trick? Because even if I'm not doing the trick that they're expecting me to do, I'd be tricking them by flipping the script. So then I'd have to actually do the trick, which would trick them, because if they're expecting me not to do the trick as the trick, then the actually trick would be the trick. I feel like I could be in a dangerous circle here. But yea there are all kinds of tricks you can do, loosen the skates of the other team, kill the hot water to their locker room, put lavender into the vents. The possibilities are endless.

Pork Tenderloin is not particularly the troublesome type. He tends to lean on the side of honor and clean, fair play. They strive to be as clean as a whistle during each and every game he plays. He is however, not without his faults. He has a bit of a temper and does manage to spend his fair share of time in the penalty box. One thing that particularly troubles him is when other players do him wrong on the ice. He does his best to plead his case to the referees and attempt to get them to see reason, that he did not mean to slash that man in the forearm, that man simply skated his way into his stick and feigned injury in order to get a favorable call. More often than not, he is unsuccessful in convincing any of the officials that he is clear of any wrongdoing. He has earned a bit of a reputation by being such a big, imposing force on the ice. He is not so much the gentle giant he wishes to be.

You all know DAMN well by now that Roquefort Cotswold is not afraid to pull some tricks out to get an advantage. This guy is a LITERAL RAT. I mean he is a RODENT. Dude has no mercy, no shame. You think that big snout respects the law? You're a fool. Anyways, Roquefort will gladly cheat to win. He is not quite sure what actually constitutes cheating in Hockey, but god knows he will find out. Mr. Cotswold is not afraid to blind side hit opposing players, with the goal to separate them from their stick and skate. He is not opposed to chemical warfare, tactically planting the stinkiest of cheeses in opponents locker rooms before the games. On the ice he uses his tail to swipe at the puck when the ref is not looking. You cannot even fault him for it, as he does not cheat out of hate. Rather, he is so driven to win that he will do whatever is necessary. He is a true competitor, through and through. And if you can't get behind that, he'll skate right thru ya!

Brayden Point does not do any tricks and would rather win the game on his legit skills set. While he is not a captain or a co captain he does know the co general manager for the team quite well (they have grabbed food on several occasions) and he is able to give a couple of nods and have either the co gm or captain take a look into some play violations. The refs are also nice enough to listen to anyone on the ice if they have a valid call out. For what it is worth in Brayden Points experience most people do not play dirty and want to play some good hockey. He is curious how life is in the SHL as this is his last send down season and it is getting closer to the end with every passing day. In the rare event that someone does play a trick on Brayden he just focuses on playing better hockey and winning the match. Truly what more could you ask for than beating the team and player who tricked you?

i think pinli is more of a long con prankster. he wants the whole team to think that he hates pranks and that he'd never do one, but then he's gonna hit them with something in like, year 20 of his career. but for now it's all frowns and scolding when it comes to pranks. if someone puts shaving cream in his skates, he wont even react. he'll just put them on and then get out there on the ice. you've gotta make it not fun to even consider the prank, so no reaction is the best. once this reputation has been thoroughly established, pinli can devise something very devious that nobody will even guess was done by him! maybe he will come in late after 10 seasons and reorganize the names on everyones jerseys to say like... "fart king" and "stink shot" and stuff like that. he'll make his own jersey say "little guy" so that it clears him of suspicion. anyways he will get away with it no problem because nobody will suspect the guy with a decade of prank hating under his belt!!!

Shaggy would be found somewhere in the middle. Neither is he the one player on the team who constantly pranks others, and might be getting on some player's nerves with it, nor does he feel old enough to find all of them boring ("get off my lawn" style). He's tries to keep a good balance. Now that holds the role as team captain for Winnipeg, he feels like he needs to watch out more for what he does and doesn't do sometimes. Be a role model, but don't be boring. At the same time he's noticed that at least some of the younger players on the team at least try to pull pranks on him, but they're mostly harmless and he would definitely say something to them if they weren't. Harmless pranks that are still funny to everyone including the one who got pranked are the best. It helps with the general team spirit.

Emil Karlsson doesn't really take part in the pranks and practical jokes that his other teammates enjoy regularly, but on special occasions such as when a new player joins the team or someone has particularly stepped out of line and needs to be brought back into the right state of behaviour. Typical things that are done including filling people's water bottles with warm water, hiding people's kit and other pretty basic stuff like that. Emil enjoys the camaraderie that a prank like this can bring but he also is aware of not taking things too far in order to avoid causing any issues with the people he's sharing a team with. When he first joined the team Emil was something of a target as all rookies are, but this didn't last for too long once Emil took it well with a smile and joke and didn't give his teammates too much to get excited about or latch onto.

Julian has always been a huge fan of clean, technical hockey and sportsmanship. These 'tricks', dirty plays, cheap shots, and other unsportsmanlike actions are signs of cowardice and lack of spirit. The only players resorting to these dumb actions lack the skill and confidence to excel without having to act like a fucking idiot. Referees are doing a decent job at penalizing dumb shit when they see it, but the league could do more to deter players from using these tactics. Harsher penalties, up to and including serious suspensions for continued behaviour or dangerous actions, could be needed to clean up the game. The emphasis of the game should be on technical hockey skills, not on a player's ability to mimic the behaviour of a street rat or on players putting their opponents in danger of serious harm by taking cheap shots at them. And fans who like to watch the violent kind of hockey can just sod off and go home to watch MMA. We don't need that in our sport.

Written Option One:

The Grizzlies played a really great trick on Elvar Gil-Galad earlier in the season that was memorable. Knowing the big tall goaltender is capable of taking the piss, as they say, the entire team got together and convinced him that the Governor's Annual Summer Ball was actually a costume party. Everyone was required to dress up. That was the literal message from the Grizzlies Management team that was told to the players.

What was Elvar to believe? His mates said it was a costume party and the brass told him to dress up... He went down to the local rental store and acquired a lovely bright red lobster suit that fit him like a glove.

He showed up to the ball and was met the roaring laughter of everyone there. Everyone else who was dressed in tuxes or sequined, shiny gowns could not even when the lobster showed up. Elvar laughed too when he realized he'd been got, but still stayed the evening and schmoozed with the dignitaries and had a great time with his team.
