There are many great boy bands to have come from the SHL. Most are large group, with many members, playing many instruments. But I introduce to you the first and great SHL boy band duo. Richard Metcalf Jr. @Lazyeye and Leshaun King @King , better known as the Calf Kings. Our logo is a baby cow with a crown. Between the two of us we cover every instrument and every boyband stereotype. King is the group bad-body, the group boy who is too cute to be a boy but still is and the token minority. Richard is the token group lead, token white guy with dreadlocks, and the one who does the rap solos.

The SHL is eagerly waiting for there hit new album "We sucked in Halifax, we'll try not to in Cali". With hit singles such as "Why is Metzky scoring?" and "King abandoned me". They're taking openings for groupies, since they currently have none.

The defencemen of the Toronto North Stars are teaming up to become the next biggest boy band. Who needs the Backstreet Boys, N'SYNC, or even One Direction, when you have “Northern Lights”. The group consists of Jordan von Matt, Richard Physt, Bob Bergen, Zander Rhys, and Ti-Guy Emond. Can any of them play any real instruments? Of course not! Jordan von Matt took 4 weeks of guitar classes and Richard Physt can bang a couple of cymbals together, but that's about the extend of their talent. Their first hot single is called “Shutout (an ode to Michael McFadden)”. Some may say that the group is taking a huge risk by releasing songs purely about hockey, and not about love and affection. The group's leader, von Matt, claimed that they're capable of doing both. We'll see how critics and fans will react to the new boy band, but we won't get our hopes up.

Shooter McGavin had great chemistry with LeShaun King, but unfortunately it only lasted for 18 pre-season games in the SMJHL before McGavin was called up to the big leagues. However, both knew they had to reunite, and they chose the stage to do it. The band is called Utopia Strings, as both play a killer guitar (King leads and McGavin plays bass), but King also does the vocals for the band. You could call the band an alternative rock band, but they do have a White Stripes feel to them, especially when King plays keyboard (he's even more versatile off the ice). Some of their notable hits are: "Spinorama drama" , "I wanna put my stick in your five hole", "two guys, one Cup", "Hat trick party", "top cheddar is better" and their most acclaimed hit, "Boom boom, smash smash"

They have been successful for quite awhile, but it will be interesting to see if they have more success with their band or with their SHL careers.

It wasn't long before friends Craig Finley and James Dekens got together for a jam session after Finley was drafted by Dekens' current team, the Manhattan Rage. A simple two man band, a dynamic duo if you will, Dekens and Finley make any sort of music their heart desires. From metal to classical, these two rock the night away. During the few preseason games that the pair have playing together, they've shown up early to games not only for a the pre game skate but for a band practice.

"It helps us concentrate on the game and you are damn right it's continuing when Finley inevitably gets a call up in the future," said Dekens, emphatically. "We love it. We play better after a few measures."

"I dunno what it is about playing but it calms me. I can just play relaxed and that's when I'm my best," states power play specialist Craig Finley.

The two will continue music after their SHL career hopefully carving out a career after retirement to pay the bills.

Many punches are thrown in the SHL, both metaphorically and literally, but the league's elite in the box have formed a rock band to hopefully find a better outlet for their anger, The Enforcers. Headlined by former turd master extreme, Danny "Bananas" Foster on vocals. Foster was chosen for this role due to his outspoken nature, which can be confirmed by league officials on a nightly basis. Next up, on drums we have Toronto's Richard Physt @CptSquall, who's experience with pounding things will be an easy transition to pound the drums. Next on the bass guitar, is San Fran's own Dakota Reid @Jiggly_333 , as her mellow, music loving nature is a clear cross with her body rocking style. And finally on the electric guitar, Otis B. Driftwood @Slappydoodle of the Calgary Dragons, who's love for rock n' roll is only bested by his love for the penalty box.

When Connor Tanner was asked who he had invited to his new musical group, he had a fast answer, “Well the other Tanners of course.”

All five of Jakob, Barbie, Jack, Eric and Connor Tanner decided to combine to form the “Tanner 5” a cover band that specified in Jackson 5 music.

When asked why they would make it to the big time Connor had this to say: “We are stars in every aspect of our lives, why not this? We are continuing to try and better our lives with more fulfilling activities and a platinum record would look great next to my gold medal and my eventual challenge cup. I can assure you the Tanner 5 is the next big thing in music, and when we once again pair up on the ice again we will tear up the scene there as well. Check out our newest single “Why can I not score anymore.”

Task: Put together the perfect SHL band! and in 150 words or more give us some details on your group and why they will be the next big thing! Some information which you can include are: Which SHL or SMJHL members did you choose? What type of music do they play? why they were picked? what are their roles? do they play any instruments? what's the name of there first single? and what is the name of their band!

The Buffalo Bad Boys consists of 5 high quality non volatile, unique and hot guys from the Buffalo Stampede. They are of course Lavelle, Lagerfield, Walker, Hamilton and Makela. Yes I know Makela isn't spent like that and instead it's got some stupid fucking egu/fada mark above it but it's too late for that. So Let's see what music do we play, we play a very nice kind of music, the best kind of music and probably the greatest music of all time, country music of course. why were they picked well because theyre all nice hot guys. our roles are to play music and make lots of fans. we play no instruments as this is an acapella country band. our first singles title is playoffs in S45 because thats the goal on and off the ice somehow. what do you mean what's the name of the band, shouldnt that be the first question in all of this ... why would it be the last one. the bands name is the Buffalo Bad Boys. and no you can't see the BBB tattoo, that's only for people within 100 IQ points of me, sorry nothing personnell kid

The best band ever comes straight outta Minnesota. Poopity Scoop, Eric Bohn, and George Moore come together to form the hottest trio the world has ever seen, spitting bars and serenading the girlies with soothing melodies. Poopity Scoop comes in with the baddest bars around, with his "pood di scoop whoop whoop" iconic line, right up there with such bars like "rawwwwrrrr like a dungeon dragon", "t bone steak, welch's grape", and "real G's move in silence like lasagna". Eric Bohn comes in with a southern twang and sounds a bit like Riff Raff, you know, the guy who is like a rich man's 3 stacks. And then George Moore.... ooooooh boy. His voice can make a straight man melt to butter, guy's voice is sexier than The Weeknd, R Kelly, Chris Brown, and Trey Songz combined. Coming together, these three form what will go down in history as the best hip-hop group in worldwide history, "Three Guys One Hole."

To say that Alex Light, Dani Forsberg and Ludwig "big" Koch Schroeder aren't a grammy winning song group would be, well, true. However that doesn't mean they shouldn't have a multitude of Grammy's by this point in their musical career. The bands' hit Rap-turned Country-Turned Dance party single, Beer on ma' Poutine, has literally dozens of listens on Soundcloud so it's actually really taking off. It's an interesting mix of talent from the three amigos as Light plays the flute but also uses the flute as a drum stick when needed, Forsberg is the singer and LKS plays the beats he made at home in his basement on his Ipod, through a deck of course, and adds in a couple of "scratches" for good measure. Honestly, everything this flows well and the music produced is sheer gold. Be sure to check out Gun's n' Maple Syrup today on Soundcloud or Youtube.
