S59 mPT #4 Cup Favorite

Calgary is the team to beat this year, and it all comes down to veteran leadership. This is a group of players who know what it takes to get things done come crunch time, and they know that their window is closing.

It is unfortunately Hamilton. Doesn't matter that playoffs are a different animal. Hamilton is like an orangutan that figured out how to use tools while the rest of the league is sticking a finger up their butt and smelling it.

I see lots of people saying Hamilton and it's hard to argue with that. Buffalo, Toronto, and Chicago are all in the same wheelhouse, but I'd love to see the Renegades make a strong push here towards the end of the season and take the top spot.

Minnesota is by far the favorite to win the cup. I mean have you seen our PDO. what better way to win then to get lucky. Minny for the cup!

As much as I don’t like it, my cup favourite at this point would have to be the Hamilton Steelhawks. They have outscored their opponents by 120 goals and own an over 81% win percentage which is quite a bit ahead of the other top teams in the league, not to mention that they have been there and done it all in the playoffs before.

Keenan, I really wish the playoffs were a different animal - anything but a steelhawk some might say. But at this point we have seen trend lines continue to develop season after season and it looks the animal will be the same, it'll either be a hawk or a buffalo.

Although I'd really with it would be a renegade on a horse.

Great Lakes division. Somebody from that division is easily the odds on favorite to take home the cup. They are literally 1, 2, 3 and 4 in the entire league. I'm so glad I'm not in that division. I feel for the expansion team about to join that juggernaut.

My favorite to win the cup will be the Chicago Syndicate. Very good team full of lots of good players and I think that they have the capability to win it all!

I don't want to say Hamilton because they're old news at this point, but their track record over the last half dozen seasons shows that even if they don't have the most TPE, they can win at every turn.

Thanks @Amidships!

Now this is going to sound crazy, but I think the Baltimore Platoon have a legitimate shot at winning the championship. I know there isn't much hope physically for the Baltimore Platoon to win the cup, but through a legal loophole, GM JR, Jon Ross, has found that he is the sole heir to the SHL Empire (a long-dead ancient civilization of STHS users), and legally the titled of Cup Winner. I'm sorry, but law's the law.

We all know its hamilton, why wouldnt it be hamilton, everyone knows its hamilton, if it wasnt hamilton i'd eat my hat. I dont even think I wagered them to win the cup and I think its hamilton. HAMILTON.

Another Cup Prediction mPT, another same answer. The Hamilton Steelhawks will continue to run through the league because its still broken and everything sucks about the SHL in terms of competition. Here's hoping they choke along the way and we see the Toronto North Stars take it though.

It would be super cool to win back to back cups with the hamilton steelhawks. it will be tough between us and the other great lakes as its been that way the past few seasons now.

It's probably a Captain Obvious reply for someone to say it's going to be a team from the Great Lakes Division will win the Championship at this point. But why would they not? It's the toughest division in the entire league, where even a 35-11-5 record translates to a LAST PLACE finish. Toronto would be the lead in EVERY OTHER DIVISION! That is a beyond scary statistic, people!

But since we want an actual "Which team wins?", then I'll say Hamilton.

God, I just hope it's a team from outside the Great Lakes this time. I really don't care who, could be Texas, could be a miracle run from a team like Calgary or Edmonton, as long as it's not a Great Lakes team.
