7. What would be your starting lineup, 3 forwards, 2 defencemen and a goalie for one of the SMJHL conferences?

My starting lineup for the Southern Conference for the SMJHL all-star game would be simple. For me, the entire Timber top forward line would get the start. This includes forwards May O'Nayse, Valtteri Pulkkinen, and Doug Weight. They combined for 330 points, the clear best line in the conference, and they deserve to go out together after their incredible season. On defense, my starting pairing, piggybacking off the forwards, would be the two Maine defensemen, Jacppo Nummilavin and Ty Justice. They also put up the most points in the conference and I think it would just be an incredible sight to see all five Maine representatives on the ice to start the game. My starting goalie would be Meowlnir Kittenson, who led the league in save percentage and goals saved about average. An ideal lineup to combat the Northern Conference, who is sure to start their QCC all-stars.

Tell me about your teammate who made the all star game! Who are they, why were they an obvious choice to make the All Star roster, and what do you expect from them this ASG? (If more than one of your teammates made the game, pick one of those players other than yourself. If you are the only player on your team selected for the all star game so far, write about your team's candidate for last man instead.)

My Colorado Raptors teammate Meowlnir Kittenson secured a spot in the all-star game in their rookie season. It was an incredible achievement for a great locker-room presence in their first season. The Raptors had a massive hole between the pipes coming into this season and management decided to take two rookie goalies in the draft. It was pretty much a timeshare between Kittenson and DarthDeavin in the regular season. Kittenson finished first in the entire league with a 0.908 save percentage and 21.92 goals saved above average. That alone was going to be good enough to make Kittenson a shoo-in for their first all-star game. Everything that transpired during the post-season was just reassurance to the voters that they made the right decision. Kittens led the Raptors to the SMJHL finals, finishing with a 0.900 save percentage and 11 wins. I expect Kittenson to start the all-star game and more than likely keep a shutout going until they pull them out of the starter's crease.

The Ottawa Highlanders' all star selections for this season are well earned. Leading scorer Easton Schaffer was a lock for his offensive prowess and his relentless backchecking on defense. Tied for second in points on the team in a breakout season Spaceman Spiff earned the other spot by filling the net and top of the league relative possession stats. While both had all star quality seasons, one player in particular was snubbed and should be one of the last players voted in. Hockey Player set a new team record with 43 goals, good enough for 10th in the league, and tied with Spiff for second in points on the team. Add in 6 GWG and 3 SHG and Hockey Player should be an automatic addition.

8. For the Seattle Argonauts, our selected All Star, for the second season in a row, was my fellow Center counterpart, none other than Shadow Fenix. It was pretty much a no brainer to pick him to represent our team. He led the team by healthy margin in goals with 39 and points with 79, just narrowly missing out a 40 goal, 40 assist season by just one measly goal. He showed the ability to produce in all situations throughout the game with 8 power play goals, 2 shorthanded, and the other 29 at even strength. However, it was the efficiency with which he scored this past season that is most impressive. He finished third in the league in shooting percentage at an awe inducing 22.81% showing his top tier surgical finishing ability. Furthermore, he is no slouch on the defensive end despite his impressive counting stats. His ability to win crucial faceoffs at a rate of over 54% over the course of the season was instrumental and helping the Argos achieve our second consecutive playoff berth. Truly, this is likely not going to be the last time we will see Fenix in the All Star game as the team continues to improve along with him.  (205 words) +4TPE

11. I think holding exhibition events such as the All Star Game in neutral locations is a tremendous opportunity to achieve an excellent return on investment in the form of generating interest in the league in new markets. I, personally, would love the see the annual event be held in Europe or even Asia as this market is largely under exposed to North American professional hockey. With so many international players in the league today, it would a treat for the players themselves and fans alike to play in places like Stockholm, Prague, Tokyo, and Shanghai and bring the game to them in an exciting star studded format. 2. East has interesting mix of top scoring players who finished on top 15 on points. How would you mix these players up to create best 2 forward lines?
Lot of good offensive players in the East. I would do this:
Aumy Junior II - Tony Soprano - Antoine Beauregard
Jiggle E Puff - Trevor Lahey - Max Carnage
People we can score and can pass on each line so the West defense will have a hard time. They will need to score because the defense of the West is really good.

3. On West you could build D pairs out of teammates or rivals as both Los Angels and San Fransisco sends 2 defencemen. Which one you’d choose and for why?
Chemistry is important so I would put the teammates together. Good players can play with everybody, but when playing against the best, you need to know what your partner will do. That way you won't be out of position or miss a pass because you got surprise by your partner moves. That will leave Jack McCarthy with the other one. We saw in internationnal tournament, teammates playing together really help so I would assume that's the way to go to have success.
I would understand that people want to put «best» player together, but in a All Star Game they are all the best do it wouldn't make a difference.

4. Which of the goalies you would have starting for each team?
For the East, Denebor Miliasch would be my starting goalie. Got a great season in Toronto with more than 30 victories. Also got a top 4 position in the three main stats for goalies so I deserve the starter position.
In the West, it's more close in my opinion with Justin Time and Grzegorz. They both were the goalies with the most wins in the league and had the best teams in front of them. I would personally go with Time because he had the best Goals Against Average from all the starter (Cechmanek wasn't one), third for the Goals Saved Above Average and also in the top 10 for the Save %.

Tell me about your teammate who made the all star game! Who are they, why were they an obvious choice to make the All Star roster, and what do you expect from them this ASG?
Louis Bélanger was an obvious choice because he finished the season in the top 10 scoring with 92 points. When you look at our team he had 18 points more than the second player and 25 than the thirs (me!). He took our team on his shoulder and bring them to a top 4 position in the conference and got 20 points in 10 playoffs games, he really deserve it because without him we would have been a bottom team.

8. My teammate @ShadowFenix was the only Argo (somehow!) to make the all star game. As our team's top center (sorry Rence) , it is obvious to see that a significant amount of our game is balanced around him. His build is impressive, boasting an even 17 in every single physical rating. With these immense physicals he manages to always be in the right spot on the ice, having the speed and balance to get to where he needs to be. This physicality is complimented by his massive brain. He has a whopping 18! offensive read, which ensured that he is in the right place at the right time.

5. This time the games are hosted in Minnesota. How would players spend their time in Twin Cities?

We often hear how Minnesota is the state that is the most similar to Canada. I am curious about this and would like to see what is similar to Canada other than the cold weather. I would start by going to St-Paul, the city. It has many historic neighborhoods and landmarks so it should be interesting. I would like to see the huge Cathedral, looks like a beautiful piece of work. I can't miss the main NHL area. The Xcel Energy Center is where the Minnesota Wild plays and it would be great to stop by to get the chance to watch a game.

11. Written, 50 to 200+ words. Thinking Out Of The Box

All-Star games are usually hosted by SHL or SMJHL team but what if it wasn’t so? If you would like to grow the game on new market having an exhibition game with all the best players in the leagues could be good kickstart, or maybe it could revitalize an old market that might have had their team moved in the past? If you were to hold games outside of current teams, where you would take the games and why?

I think the best idea for this would be to have the all-star games in a international market that you think could be a good place for the league. Let's say they went to Mexico City and tried to bring people in to watch the game in one of the crazy huge soccer stadiums. That's a bunch of fans the league could win in a short time. A lot of people say Mexico is too warm and people don't like hockey. With technology today, you can have rinks even if it's warm. The big advantage is Mexico shares the same time zone as North America and would be less of a problem than going to Europe. Also, the travel time would be quite short, especially for teams in the south USA. Canadian teams would simply not play in Mexico often and would go at the same they go to other southern states.

11.
If the All-star games wasn’t hosted by any team in the Shl or Smjhl I think it would be pretty great if it was hosted by the last year's cheerleading winners. Imagine the opening show. with like 500 cheerleaders jumping up and down in great outfits, some funny looking pom poms and tight hair.
and pretty much the same thing in between the periods. I think the tickets would sell out in a jiffy.
The only problem could be that the cheerleaders will get more attention than the hockey players.
But I would for sure be a challenge for the cheerleaders, not only learning a long ass routine, but like 4. and doing it with 500 people on the ice, without falling or failing. I know I would pay to see that.
And I do believe I'm not the only one. Although, it's also not all good that the focus is not a 100 percent on hockey, as is the idea with the all star. But hey, not everything can work as it always has.

If there was an award labeled “Strongest carrier” it would without a lot of doubt go to Elaina Beneski.
That back must be aching more than anyone else for carrying a whole team.
With an offensive game rating 11 points higher than anyone else on the team and with an overall game rating also higher than anyone on the team, Elaina Beneski really did do all of the offensive, and regular groundwork for Anchorage. And in my opinion that is worth an award or two.
The fact that Elaina also did manage to outscore all but 5 players in the league, kind of without the team's help, helps pointing out the Elaina Beneskis greatness.
