Jack Durden has been traded from the New England Wolfpack to the Winnipeg Jets, and unfortunately, missed out on the playoffs.

It's unclear what will happen in the near future for Durden. Will he remain a Jet? Or will he receive other offers that are enticing? Durden has never hid his feelings on his desired destination, but now, it's out of his hands.

I'll take questions now.


Why do you think you were traded?

Well, I was traded because I had asked for one. I wasn't happy in New England. I as well as many others felt that there was a lot of tension in the locker room, and I'm not one to hide my feelings. I was so irritated by it, that I needed a change. Even when Mac got traded, I still felt like the tension was there. I never really posted in the LR because it was a turn off, and because of that I didn't develop relationships with new (to me) people. I felt like an outsider, even though management worked their asses off to make it a great place.


What are the chances you re-sign with the Jets?

I've said before that Winnipeg is a great place to play. Some of the reasons I wanted to come here initially aren't here or won't be, but I don't think it's a bad place in any terms. I was excited to be put there, but I don't know what the future holds. I'll be waiting until FA to make any kind of decision, but I know that Winnipeg will be a top destination for me.


What teams are you hoping to receive an offer from?

Like I said before in previous conversations, I'd love to be a Renegade. I'm hoping to get an offer from Texas, but I know nothing is a given in this league. I'm prepared to listen to offers, and make whatever decision fits me.


What are you looking for in a new team?

An active locker room, support on how I need to train and genuine people. No try hards or suck ups. It's annoying to deal with.


What should teammate Lord Pretty Flacko do in terms of free agency?

He should go wherever I go. I know he's going to be on a trip, so it's hard for him to be active, but I think that he'll be able to find a lot of locations. I don't think there's a team out there that won't offer him a contract. He's an elite up and coming player and a cool dude. Everyone is going to make a bid on him.


Which LR is better: NEW or WPG? Why?

It's hard to say. NEW bothered me (because I'm an asshole) because everyone was just ... so nice. It sounds odd, but they're all just genuinely nice people. And I'm a sarcastic asshole all the time, and I didn't want to be a dick to those people. I haven't been in WPG long enough to know enough about them. They seem nice, and seem close, but there's not a lot of people that talk (or at least that I've seen). It's great to check in though and see what they're talking about.


Of the teams you've been on, which management style do you like best?

Again, with WPG, I haven't been there long enough to know anything. Storm is WOAT GM, ever... and PB is just super nice and willing to do whatever it takes to make the team successful and the players happy. So by default, I'd have to go with NEW.


Talk about both Winnipeg and NEs futures.

I think NEW has a long, hard climb on them. They've traded away myself and Flacko, and had traded Mac previously. And they have a terrible goalie that never updates, so it's gonna be hard. I think WPG can do well, and I think they have pieces in place to succeed, but I think they'll be a middling team for a couple more years before striking hot.


What number will you wear for Texas?

Can I be a big ol’ doucher and say 69? If Texas will have me, I’ll probably switch over to #13 if it’s not taken, or #7. If both of those are slotted, I’d rather stick with #86. I’m partial to those three jersey numbers.


Are you excited to be reunited with SHL heart throb and former Whalers linemate, Allen?

Allen is bae. Allen is life. Allen is sex. I can’t express how excited I’d be to share the locker room with Allen again.
