I'm extremely ignorant to the issues in Turkey, but it's disappointing to see its hit such a level that the military takes action. Hopefully this is positive for the citizens of the nation.

He's been anti-Obama, pro-ISIS, and has tried to promote fundamental Islam within the country. Essentially, the military (which is backed by NATO, and vice versa) has attempted to take down the powers that be to try and restore the democratic process the country has slowly been shifting away from. Theres a lot more to it than that, considering Turkey shares a border with Syria. A civil war within Turkey would weaken the fight against ISIS on the Syrian border and would likely throw the Middle East into turmoil.

Really hope this goes well for Turkey. Obviously you're going to get those attempts to undermine a still-young democracy so it's good to see the military taking action against those attempts in this case.
