This is a really cool idea, it would give those that are looking to make cash a good place to find something to write about.
And having a true HoF wing on the site. You could add the members Avatar and signature to there exhibit to personalize it to the user.
I really dig this, there is so much that this could help in the future. It's a easy wiki style page full of facts for trivia or just article ideas for regular media.

Thank you so much for the support!
I love seeing the enthusiasm others have behind any idea to do with preserving our history and stories.

Just for clarification this isn't solely limited to media about HoF players, correct?
As an NHL analogy: a player like John Scott would never be inducted to either Hall of Fame as a player but a media article like his Players Tribune piece about his run to the All Star game would be eligible as an exhibit under this change, right?
Either way, as someone who's new to the site it'd be cool to have a place to read through the best of old media.

Not at all, the main focus of the idea is around stories on teams and eras and just anything that's worth telling. So a non-HoF'er with a story would be more than welcome

I would love a more fleshed out HoF or history section in general, but sadly this comes down to a few individuals putting in quite a bit of work to get it done and sadly nobody seems to be willing to do that at the moment :(

I could do some work for more recent seasons, but I have no way to do that for the early years of the SHL.

I think the most important thing to do right now is to establish a somewhat standardized process for this. Even if you personally put in the work to pump out half a dozen 2000 word articles, that would still only cover a fraction of the people in the HOF, so what we need to do is create a way that allows for as many people as possible to get involved with this, and allow them to do so on their own terms while still maintaining certain levels of quality.
So I'd suggest to hire someone or maybe a few people to oversee this whole thing, you would obviously be perfect if you are interested as you are basically our main league historian already, then maybe artermis who has been the most persistent about this idea, and one or two other old-timers who have been here a long time. This group would then come up with a few guidelines on how a HOF article would have to look like, something like "At least 1500 words", "Must include career stats/awards overview", "Must include x pictures/pictures with a jersey swap", stuff like that.
And then we make this available for everyone. People can sign up for a player and then submit an article for him and to make it really enticing we could offer double the regular media pay, but in return people have to adhere to the guidelines and have to accept that their article might get edited if the committee feels that certain things could be improved or if it wishes to standardize the layout or structure.
I think this would be a good system for this that isn't too much work for the people in charge, that allows everyone who is interested to get involved when that person has the time and motivation, while we still have some kind of quality control in place. And if we offer some good rewards, like double-media pay or maybe even a handful of TPE, then I'm sure we'll find wuite a few people who are interested.

I just want to note that the main focus of this proposal is storytelling fo individual events, inductee bios is just an extra, albeit with the proposal acceptance it's merely a stone's throw from what the main idea is.
I feel like having dedicated writers could be great as you allude to, but as you lead into, the original proposal is basically what you are suggesting: a panel oversees articles or bios or historical article submissions if we do that and judges them and decides to accept or reject them based on content/value. What I suggested for payment was also essentially what you suggest in the likeness of a commission system, I disagree with TPE unless a sound argument can be made, and a twice-weighted media pay scale may be a little much but either are a good start and we could see and review how things go.

The longer this goes unimplemented the more stories and history we lose
