To be fair, <a href='index.php?showuser=73' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-3'>Boomcheck</a> is a huge troll who blesses us with his presence once every four months or so to tell us how he used to be a big deal four players ago and has no concept or perception of how the league actually operates today.

Even his comment about WJC proves it, since it only got rebooted a couple of seasons ago. "Lately seems good, but overall throughout history nah." Lately is honestly all that matters, because lately is the only version we can base its current work on. It would be asinine to hold whatever issues WJC had in the past against its current operators.

But yes, point on hand, pay GMs.

Lol not really we just have outspoken members for the first time in a while. The kit thing was more of Buffalo players defending their own and wires got crossed between teams.

Calling out long term GMs on not winning a cup isn't fair, because STHS is rarely consistent. Especially in the SMJHL where the real goal is to cultivate activity and help new members learn and grow

Does Toronto just have a rivalry with every team and everyone on them.

This has nothing to do with Toronto and everything with Boomcheck throwing something in my face I have very little control over. The SMJHL is a crapshoot every season and to assume that I haven't done everything in my power to put my teams in the position to win the cup is kind of a low blow. But even as a low blow it's nothing because I am proud of my team and the people I have been able to add. Cultivating activity and giving players a home should be the ultimate goal of a SMJHL GM. Winning a cup is a nice bonus.

The Buffalo thing on the other hand is much more of a slow burn rivalry developing and everyone in that thread on all sides said shitty things and things that don't hold a lot of water.

As for this. I feel like it's distracting from the actual point of this thread that Sleepy brought up and I would like to end it here. If Boomcheck wants to shit talk my inability to win a cup he can bring it to the TD and watch my players swarm. For now we need to get back to talking about GMs and HO members getting paid.

To be fair, <a href='index.php?showuser=73' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-3'>Boomcheck</a> is a huge troll who blesses us with his presence once every four months or so to tell us how he used to be a big deal four players ago and has no concept or perception of how the league actually operates today.

Even his comment about WJC proves it, since it only got rebooted a couple of seasons ago. "Lately seems good, but overall throughout history nah." Lately is honestly all that matters, because lately is the only version we can base its current work on. It would be asinine to hold whatever issues WJC had in the past against its current operators.

But yes, point on hand, pay GMs.

WJC has shown up several times and tends to fall apart/ no consistency

They were planning a WJC during our smjhl season and it fell through, tomen and incite had to run an event on their own just to have something there.

Its just a people thing. They just care less about off-season events than they would do the SHL, but the ship seems pretty tight now in comparison but there are times here things will get done late/delayed. Would be silly not to learn from mistakes in the past. (I love the WJC obv *Looks at Sweden thread*) Nothing about my observations are wrong so I find it funny you react in this way, esp when I taught you how to build your player.

Looks like you get Calgary r1 so enjoy getting bounced in the playoffs, maybe Visser can carry that dead weight of a cursed franchise tho.
