I understand why people would be skeptical of a change at first. This wasn't a decision SHL HO made overnight, we have been working with them around this for a while, brought it up a while ago. I know the concerns for affiliation from a flagship league (SHL for money leagues, SBA for TPE leagues), but I think this will be helpful overall. It will help NSFL and PBE more in terms of members, of course, but it will help SHL a lot as well. NSFL has a lot of people that started their sim league careers there, so that will help there. It also allows for members to come back to the site. For instance, since before all these affiliate plans, I was really only in SBA, GOMHL, and NSFL, with players in SHL and VHL that were meh at best activity. Now, im in 4 more sim leagues, and am able to bump up my activity in the hockey leagues! Before, I'll be honest, I wasn't sure if i was gonna recreate in SHL, now i will for sure if this affiliate plan stays active!
