well, they'd still have to update the player pages. actually, my idea wouldn't fix this issue in retrospect, but would help keep players from using too much tpe at least.

Some updaters has already made like 22 mil a season for several seasons so no.

We could pray the updaters with money from all the faulty updates

Then again, the updaters that accepted the upgrades would have to pay too so we'd end up at 0 anyways Wink

I'd like to know who has made 22 mil a season as an updater because I cant find anybody who has going back to S38

OK 18 maybe, im working RN but the updating pays has been atrocious, i think it got vetter after dude took over though. That sheet was made in S39 tho, still vastly overpaid.

I mean updaters are spending 1-2 hours a week every week of the season+offseason and that amounts to like 12M pay. I dont think that is an overpay at all if a season + offseason is like 8 weeks 8-16 hours working on media could get you the same if not more than that

Definitely.much less opportunity to make obscene amounts of money now. I can't think of anyone that'll break 15m and any of them that end up making that deserve every cent.

Except in my case it's absurd to fine the updaters. In the other two's cases Karey claimed a PT in one update, then claimed again in a later update. Now in these cases, yes, he did his double claims in consecutive updates, but it's not our job to look back and verify claims in the previous week's updates too. Maybe to verify the PT cap was done correctly, but at what point would you like us to stop looking back and verifying every claim? 2 updates? 5? What you're expecting here would only add onto an already big time sink and can't be reasonably be expected of my team. That's hard enough to keep track of as a player's regular updater. A backup? No chance they'll know there's a double claim.

My fine was warranted, Karey claimed something twice within the same update that I processed and passed through. Should I have caught that? Sure, but just as in Karey's case, mistakes happen when you work at 4 am.

Once you realize hes obviously claiming enough tpe to be near the cap and doesnt have the cap displayed then you double check to verify. Its not as time consuming as everyone here is making it out to be.

Idk if youre a backup or if youre the updater for buffalo, a backup shouldnt be punished at all for this as theyre just filling in, but if the updater for the team hadnt noticed this over MULTIPLE seasons when its not that difficult to spot, then they should be punished.

Im asking the updater to use some sense and to look into when someone is claiming a lot of capped tpe without noting it, its totally reasonable to expect that

What do you mean only checking if the Earned total TPE and the player build are the same? That's only a soft audit. I did that for half the league after the seattle regression fiasko.

I'm the head updater. The main issue here isn't his cap, it's his double claims and he only went over by 2tpe in one season, 7 in another. He hasn't gone over the cap since.
