Not a GM though

"Being a GM" isn't something i buy when people talk about 'trying to sabotage' stuff. Like anyone competitive and dishonest, GM or not, will try their best to sink down the others. The fact Tomen is Co-GM for me is not an issue because he's an honest man.

I absolutely agree, I just think COIs should be avoided when possible. I love Tomen and would be fine if he stayed our updater.

I realize everyone wants to fling shit back and forth rather than talk calmly on this thread, but I don't think TDMJ's original suggestion of requiring the PT cap only when your PT cap changes is unreasonable. Forcing it as a requirement on all posts including those that only include uncapped TPE, or regression posts with no TPE being added is just complicating updating further than it already is. Yes I realize it's not much to add, but the more we add "little things" that complicate updates the more people we lose because they get sick of having to remember all this stuff.

That's really not for me to decide is the point. The rule says all updates, so we're enforcing it as such. Honestly, I do agree with it in that capacity. If I'm looking at it from our perspective, I can look back at the last update and guarantee that I can see what a player's cap was last week instead of looking back 2, 3, or more weeks to try and verify their cap. With such a time consuming job, if you can save 10-15 seconds here or there, then I'm for it. I don't even really update anymore.

this is a fucking stupid approach to rule changes in such a large community with so many different variables. Laughable, really.

My issues in the SHL don't come from any "bad vibes" that individual people create on their own but rather how the decision making process happens and how the league goes about implementing those decisions. If you're talking about my posts in the other thread, which I am sure you are, it has nothing to do what people say to one another or how they say it. I frankly don't care about that. What I do care about is how league affecting decisions are made and then passed down with little to no chance to actually react to those decisions. If i wasn't lucky enough to have put my capped tpe in my earlier in the week, I probably would have been in the 30%~ of people affected by the rule change and had my updates skipped. Now when you put new rules in place, surely there is going to be some people who dont' get the message, thats bound to happen. But when 30% of the league, literally 1/3 of the people actively updating their players, are skipped because a rule was changed/made there is a huge problem with the way things are done around here. I cant be the only one that thinks that 30% of the league's updates getting skipped isn't an issue.

Can u read? The rule clearly states update thread. My capped TPE is updated within my update thread. I updated my capped tpe in my next update like the rule suggests you to do.

Oh shit I was wrong all this time? Fuck man, hey everyone I'ma personally update the 30% that was skipped, resign as head updater, retire from SHL, and takeout a full page ad in the New York Times apologizing to TDM personally for wasting so much of his valuable time.

I was wrong guys. Lol

I dont understand you at all. Like you seem like you want to take things seriously but then you act like a total tool.

Not everyone has the time to do PTs and will have to include 0/40 every week for no apparent reason and do you expect me to include regression to include an updated capped tpe? Fuck no like i know its a simple thing to include but why would we have to include something when we don't have too?

Because you do have to now. Whether or not it's the wording of the rule, the update team has taken it to mean "put the season PT cap in every single updating post you do". Sorry if you don't like that but thems the rules.

At this point it seems most have begrudgingly accepted this.. and you are just fighting for the sake of fighting

Im fighting because people are going to have to include tpe caps when they do regression for inactive players or they won't be able get updated in the off-season and the GM is going to assume it got done and well we have another Seattle situation on our hands.

I am kind of a tool. I take my responsibilities seriously, but I can't fuck around in the dirt with the rest of you assholes? Just because I head up the most boring job on the site doesn't mean I have to be boring myself.

And again, why are you coming at this like I personally wrote the rule? I didn't even have input. In fact, I was punished just before the rule was introduced. I'm here to enforce. Updating is my responsibility and I intend to take it seriously. If you have a problem with me, take it up with HO. Start working on that petition to have me removed. I'll be here waiting and doing my job all the while.

Hey , in the meantime, maybe work on growing up a bit. Seems like you have room to in that area.
