Hot Potato Trophy - SMJHL S49 Awards Ceremony

Welcome one and all to the Season 49 SMJHL Hot Potato Trophy awards show! I am your host, Slap McShotty. This is a recorded event, not live.

This is the debut season of the SMJHL Hot Potato, and what an exciting time it's been. After writing reports for the S48 SHL Hot Potato and then transitioning to two Hot Potato trophies this season (one in each league), my desire to write all the reports was waning so I opened up the opportunity for others with interest in the award to write the reports and cash in on their work. You may have noticed multiple different people publishing the reports, and I'd like to recognize them now: @wumaduce, @shutdown, @JaytheGreat, and @thiefofcheese. I'm grateful to these people for helping me keep the Hot Potato dream alive and hope it was a good opportunity for them to make some extra cash.

Overall, the Hot Potato possessors have had their ups and downs, and these individual awards are to recognize those who performed well and poorly while in possession. The individual awards are as follows:

Fried and Crispy - Most time with the Hot Potato
The Unburnt - Least time with the Hot Potato
Potato Lover - Most Hot Potato possessions
Sack of Potatoes - Most hits taken with the Hot Potato per 20 minutes possession time (more than 1 total hit taken)
Potato Protector - Most shots blocked with the Hot Potato per 20 minutes possession time (more than 1 total shot blocked)
Potato Shoots - Most shots on goal with the Hot Potato per 20 minutes possession time (more than 1 total shot on goal)
Protato - Most points with the Hot Potato per 20 minutes possession time (more than 1 total point)
Bonnie and Fried - Most PIMs with the Hot Potato per 20 minutes possession time
Forgedible - Worst performance with the Hot Potato (0 shots blocked, 0 shots on goal, and 0 points for longest possession time)
