#16

Toivo Kosonen 1 (1 vote)

Toivo played 15 SHL seasons most of which came with the Wolfpack and the Panthers. He had over 500 points in 750 career games and also blocked over 1000 shots. This was not enough to make it into the hall.

Best Season: S38 (13G 36A +18 69SB nice)

Jason played 12 seasons between the pipes for the Rage and Steelhawks recording over 230 wins and 22 shutouts. He recorded over 20 wins in most of his seasons with a huge 26 wins in S42, his last. This was not enough to make it into the hall.

Best Season: S35 (21W 4SO)

How is his best season 21 wins if you just said he got 26 wins in s42

All impressive 15 seasons of MIkke’s career were played in New England where he won three Challenge cups between the pipes. His stats as well as the team accolades are nicec but not enough for him to get over the hump and into the hall.

Lets take a second to acknowledge these vote receivers who did not make the cut this year. Better luck in future season. And with that, Ladies and Gentlemen, lets begin with our first introduction into the SHL HOF.

The German, Scholz spent most of his impressive 21 season career with the Blizzard. During his time in the SHL Scholtz scored over 300 goals and had over 500 assists, a highly impressive total for both of these stats. Not know for taking the body as much as others in the league he still recorded over 600 hits in his career which shows his willingness to play physical when required. In his best season for the Blizzard, Scholtz scored 23 goals and added 34 helpers for a total of 57 points, a number many in this league would dream to hit for a season but Scholz did this twice, also recording 57 points in S35. Nikolaus also was able to lift the Challenge Cup twice in his career, the first in S28 his first year in Edmonton and again in S45, his last which allowed him to go out on top. Congratulations Nikolaus. [/align]

Watcher played 19 SHL seasons between Portland, Buffalo, and Las Angeles and recorded 733 career points. An impressive total of 454 assists shows his willingness to help out his teammates in the offensive end. The physical aspect of the game was nothing he shied away from with over 2500 career hits to his name. Max scored over 50 points 4 times in his career including a monster 65 points season in S41. Despite being one of the best players in league history, he never was able to lift a Challenge Cup over his head, a sad sign that for some, things just don’t fall they way you need them to from a team perspective. Congratulations Maximilian

The number 69 (nice) jersey will forever be in the rafters in Hamilton after the great career of Ben Dover. Ben scored 700 career points from 207 goals and 493 assists. A physical player, Dover recorded 1376 hits in his career and also added 1405 blocked shots. He was a lethal force on the powerplay with a recorded 208 points on the man advantage. Additionally he added 6 shorthanded points in his career. Ben never raised a Challenge Cup in his career which is the only blemish on an otherwise great career. In the S37 season Ben eclipsed the 60 point mark for his highest career point total in the SHL. Congratulations on a great career Mr. Dover.

How is his best season 21 wins if you just said he got 26 wins in s42

Went off the shutout stat over wins in a season. It was a tough call in my mind if im honest. Not going to be perfect.
