S52 WFT #2 - All Star Team
#76

C Aaron Wilson
LW Luke Thomason
RW Nick Brain
D Ensio Kalju
D Charlie Schieck
G Cedric Robinson
I mean, I can’t say I did anything special to pick these people for my All Star Team. Really I just looked at who is leading their respective positions in points and then for Robinson I think his save percentage, goals against average and wins speak for themselves.

For my all star line-up, I loaded up on offensive star power. Everybody knows that the all star game is all about keeping the fans entertained, and what do the fans want to see? Goals. Lots and lots of goals. Every one of the skaters selected will be generating on the attack. Robinson is just a stud in net and leads the league in save percentage, so he was the obvious choice.

Cameron Carter II is so good that he doesn't even need a team around him. He can be his own team because he's that godly. Expect him to beat the opposing team by a score of 42069-0 because he's that good

I have selected these guys because they are some of the best in the league right now and are playing really well in this final STHS season.

W- Monkey D. Luffy
D- Poopity Scoop
D- Cassius Darrow
G- Cedric Robinson

With 26 points in 27 games for both Poopity Scoop and Monkey D. Luffy, there's no doubt they are all star material. With Viktor Marius and Alexander Selich trailing near, i included them as well. Cassius Darrow is basically just amazing at blocking shots. With a .915 save percentage in 25 games, Cedric Robinson is just dominating it.

Atlantic All Stars

Luke Thomason  Rage
Alex Winters  Rage
Manuel Gotze Wolfpack
Ensio Kalju Wolfpack
Barrett McCarthy Rage
Beaujeaux Biscuit Platoon

Weren't too many skater options on the board from the Florida teams, so MAN and NEW dominate this squad. Biscuit has led WKP to an impressive start despite a subpar roster (no offense) so he gets the nod over Larson.

Great Lakes All Stars

Lyndis Vakarian Stars
Flacko Lagerfield Steelhawks
Daniel Smeb syndicate
Poopity Scoop Stampede
Parker Smeb syndicate
Harry Carpet Stars

Finding a second dman behind scoop was the toughest task in this one; went with a second Smeb, as he's third in the league in blocked shots at the moment. This division has 4 goalies with pretty much equal save percentages; went with Carpet as he's faced the most shots.

Northwest All Stars

Nick Brain Jets
Collin Gibbles Chiefs
Terrance Nova Jets
Geoff Moore Chiefs
Brady McIntyre Blizzard
Tommy Tuck Blizzard

Even spread here, with no reps from the disappointing Dragons.

Southwest All Stars

Philipp Winter Panthers
Andreas Kvalheim Renegades
Jeff Brogen pride
Charlie Schieck pride
Harvey Danger Renegades
Aleister Cain Specters

Some really difficult forward omissions here - I think Czerkawski and Manius were among the most worth recipients to be left off, across all four divisions.

RW - Nick Brain (WIN)
D - Ensio Kalju (NEW)

G - Cedric Robinson (BUF)

All my selections are based off their offensive production. They all lead their position in points or for Robinson in SV% while being 3rd in GAA and 2nd in wins.

I started building my team on the blue line.  Of course I pick myself, so then I want a partner who plays very much the opposite style.  Where I have passing and crushing nerds, Lockhart is built to score.

For my forwards, I want to start with a 90 FO center who will be pass first.  Tony Pepperoni is an easy pick.  Then I give him two scoring weapons on either side, for which I picked Lagerfield and Brain.  They won't be busy trying to lay hits, and have strong skating and finishing skills.

In net, my old reliable Cainer.  The end.

I'm going with my fantasy team for 2 reasons. Reason #1 - they so far have done well enough to have me ranked 5th overall in fantasy points. Reason #2 - I want to reward them for the hard work they've done this season with the hopes that they get me even more fantasy points. To the top!

I feel like I don't know enough to pick or justify an All-Star team out of the current SHL pool. However, the Class 52 Podcast group is going to be an amazing All-Star squad someday.

C - Danny Marston Scarecrows | Chiefs

W - Cal Labovitch Falcons | Chiefs

W - Rhys Pritchard Outlaws | Stars

D - Adam Scianna Knights | Renegades

D - Noah Nystrom KnightsRenegades

G - Strom Chamberlain Outlaws | Jets

The current player lineups on this list would destroy us right now. It might be a fun FHM challenge to scale up our builds to 1300-1400 TPE and see what happens.

Honorable mention goes to Mega Tron. Meg's great, but Pritch has more points and TPE right now. That may change when both are capped or closer in TPE.

I'd also like to point out that Strom has already been called up temporarily to Winnipeg, and managed to win a game. Cal is in the race for most goals and total points in the J. Rhys is doing well enough for 10th best RW right now. Noah's probably displeased to not be in the top 10 for +/-, but he's doing alright in PK minutes. Last I saw, Scianna was doing some work on PP, scoring points. That scrub Marston is hanging okay with the first line in St. Louis, putting in Big Boy Minutes and getting hit a lot.

We're a good group. Give it 5 to 10 seasons, and our names will be on these lists.

These guys are all near the top for their position. It's a hard choice as there is a lot of good talent in the league this season. The three forwards are putting up good points and the two defenders have been solid for a long time now. Robinson has been one of the best goalies for a while now.

For the making of this all-star team, I have decided to go with a composition of players from my team (Muerto and Brain) and players that I think should be on the all-star team because their teams are atop the standings and they've been the most productive. Everyone is fairly close to each other o the leaderboards, so it's very tough to make a decision.

I selected this all-star team prior to the last sim so some that I selected might not make the cut as of now. My one selection that people might not agree with me on is my goaltender selection but he had one of the top save percentages in the league while facing the most shots by a wide margin of the other goaltenders who had slightly better save percentages.

The prerequisite for this all star team is beating the shit out of the opposition with your body. If you lay hits and put up points, you make the cut. As for goalies, just stop pucks.
