This reality is just one of infinite realities existing alongside this one in parallel. Take us over to one of those realities in which everything is the same but these S52 playoffs have unfolded differently. What happened in that reality's playoffs and who's in the Challenge Cup over there?

In reality 3 (not to be confused with the reality from last CW) Tampa Bay leaked that they found a game breaking glitch in SimonT, prompting the move to FHM even earlier, with no refined update scale, and all of the GM’s have been scrambled about because not all of them have the software. With complete randos taking over the lines and strategies (but not the trades or contracts), the league is in chaos for the majority of the season. Stats are all over the place because there is no meta and no one has had the chance to test lines, pairings, or strategies. Starting playoffs with a new engine is similar to the NHL switching to their fancy new pucks! In that reality, the Challenge Cup is between the San Francisco Pride, and Hamilton Steelhawks (who had anticipated this change and already schemed something up). Both teams have great rosters, full of creative leaders.

You're put in charge of making the casino odds on the Cup winner for next season. Whom are you giving the best and the worst odds to, and what's your reasoning?

I am giving the best odds to the Los Angeles Panthers for a few reasons. The new management is going to shake things up and get things done immediately before starting the rebuild. They have a ton of elite weapons on the roster with a lot of TPE to work with in sample tests. High TPE combined with a bunch of free build changes is going to be very important, this season, and Los Angeles has a lot of high earners that are in need of cups. The last reason that i believe Los Angeles will be dominant immediately, is because I don’t believe the goalie update scale is very accurate. Knox Booth, who is a fine young goaltender, will have around 900 TPE at the start of the season which is enough to cap some major attributes. The worst odds to win are the Minnesota Chiefs, because they just started their rebuild and sold a lot of high end pieces. They will bounce back in a season or two, as they have a younger team who will be able to improve their builds gradually, as opposed to jumbling a 2000 tpe build and hoping that they got it right.

By now, you're probably familiar with the attributes on FHM, and you likely have some sense of what type of build you're going to be aiming for with your player. What one attribute are you going to focus on most? Of all the attributes in the game, what is your player going to strive to be the absolute best at? Why are you picking that specific attribute above all others?

“Offensive Awareness” really gets me going. Particulary when compared to STHS, where “defense” was the positioning in all zones, offensive awareness will take over and get me speedy cow where he needs to be. Obviously this is based on light reading and zero tests, but even after those are done, we will not be able to see what is actually happening. A player occupying a zone, or being in place to make a good play is not an easy metric to track or to calculate. I imagine the attribute will have an effect that modifies the other players that share the ice with him or her. “Defensive awareness” is another attribute that i am interested in, as i imagine a defender’s awareness is to be contrasted with offensive player’s awareness.

Limericks

There is a team from Hamilton
Whose known for removing all the fun
But with new rules in place,
They still came in 2nd place,
Maybe they deserved it in S51.

A power-forward named Cameron Carter
Believed himself to be a martyr
“Where’s my Dar nom?”
“Just show some aplomb.
When we list memes you're the starter."

1. Head GMs JayWhy and Grapehead have been GMing for a while, whereas Co GMs Luketd and DaftRaincloud are newer to management - which team's front office staff (including coaches) do you think will provide a strategic edge (lol as if such a thing exists in STHS) in this series?
2. Manhattan has been rocking a pretty evenly-distributed ice time for forwards (35-33-32) whereas San Francisco is going a bit more top-heavy (40-40-15). Which approach do you think is better for a fierce Challenge Cup series?
3. The Rage and the Pride have, in my opinion at least, two of the best logos in the entire SHL. Which team's logo do you like more and why?
4. What is your favorite player name on either of these two teams and why? (not favorite player/user, just focusing on their player name)
5. Would you rather: (a) a chainsaw lesson with JayWhy, (b) a private Gritty meet-and-greet for you and Luke, (c) an all-you-can-eat grape buffet experience with Grapehead, or (d) an hour session where DaftRaincloud shows you everything from his internet history?

1- Both teams will have an equal advantage, as both have been equally graced by GeckoeyGeck. As a player responsible for building one team, and being the finishing touch in another, he’s got a real Sophie’s Choice of who he should mentally will to win. As for the current actual GM’s, I’m picking Manhattan’s LukeTD and and DaftRaincloud because JayWhy and Grapehead passed on me in the S47 SHL entry draft. I can’t imagine being more fortunate than falling to Edmonton, but I’m a salty bastard.
2- Manhattan’s balanced approach is going to give them the edge in the challenge cup series. Resting your players (no matter the endurance levels) is important in keeping the ice even and not committing penalties/giving up power play opportunities. As the ice shifts throughout the series, it will be easier for Manhattan to make adjustments, be it in ice time or line building, while San Francisco will be a little more handcuffed.
3- The pride’s color scheme and jerseys are far superior. But for the logo itself, the advantage goes to the Rage. The Pride’s lion’s eyes are crossed (big detractor), and the strokes of the outer white seem a little off, limiting it to 4 core colors is good though, and they are used effectively, as opposed to Manhattan’s. Manhattan’s logo has a superior shape to it, but the dark red is pretty weak, as it is only used as an accent color. Also the Rage’s logo cant be translated to a one color logo. On the internet, that’s fine, but in real life it's a nightmare for marketing.
4- My favorite player name on the San Francisco Pride is Leopold Lockhart. It is such a “liony” name, and the impression that his signature has had on me over the past few seasons makes it synonymous with his franchise. Leo the Lion. I bet everyone got a free 0.5 uncapped during that draft. For the Manhattan Rage, I like Backdoor Barnacle. I’m not sure if its a reference to genital warts, possibly herpes around the anus, or even hemorrhoids (didn’t need spell check! Because im smart, not because i have them), but potty humor makes me giggle.
5- I don’t know raincloud too well, but i think I would opt for his/her internet history. I choose this because I am a context whore. I like long meandering stories, i like unnecessary background, and i think true detective season 2 is a perfectly fine season of television (it's not television, its HBO). The couch hang where someone has to put their ipod on shuffle is great. It’s a bunch of raised eyebrows as the ipod owner explains why that song is on their ipod. The internet history is similar. You get to know a person and what’s important to them, and the explanations are always fun stories.

TASK 1. Written, 3 TPE (150 words min.)

In in alternate reality my protege JKortesi81 wins a cup in STHS. Something he has worked hard for and would very much deserve. In this alternate reality Calgary would beat San Fran in game 7 and then it would be New Orleans vs Calgary in the western conference finals. Now don't get me wrong I always want to win but if I could choose any team and GM to beat us and win the cup themselves it would be Joe and NOLA. The series would have went down to 7 games, it'd be a hard fought series with both goaltenders getting blown up because that'd just make too much sense for both of our histories. Games would be like 7-6, etc. Game 7 would go to a fifth overtime and old balls Joe Kurczewski would score the OT series winner because that'd be very poetic for him. NOLA would move on to face Buffalo in the finals because that'd be a sweeter victory for many to watch. NOLA would sweep Buffalo and my guys Joe K and TDZ would get their sths cup they've worked so hard for since being named GM's in New Orleans 7 seasons ago. I would be the first to say congrats. [150+]

TASK 2. Written, 3 TPE (150 words min.)

This is tough because we're not sure what rosters will look like next season yet, in terms of builds, etc. We can figure the highest tpe teams will still do well by default but we have quite a few managers that have never used fhm and will be learning on the fly. This could create some surprises. Personally if I was making casino odds I would give the best odds to the few teams who's GM's either have a lot of fhm experience or to teams who have players that have fhm experience and can help guide the GM's in tactics out of the gate. I'd probably say Hamilton would have the best odds based on DrunkenTeddy seeming like he's the most experienced fhm guy around the site, plus Hamilton has a solid roster to work with, even if not the highest tpe roster they probably will be a top team in fhm next season. Worst odds is even harder to predict but it'd go to a team who's GM's have no fhm experience and also a may have a generally lower tpe roster. I don't know what GM's have fhm experience so I'll just say from the test file it looked like toronto didn't do very well so I'd give them the worst odds but who knows how it will all unfold. [150+]

TASK 3. Written, 2 TPE (100 words min.)

I wish FHM had a sandwich eating attribute because I would certainly focus on that and come in with a 20 rating. Being that FHM missed the mark on this I’m forced to choose another attribute… So as a two-way center I will probably go with defensive read since most of my team is going more offensive, somebody has to be the defensive forward. I’ll still have good offense but defensive read will probably by my focus early on along with checking, stick checking and things of that nature. I want to be a good two-way forward and counter attacking forward to start out, then as I get upwards of 1500+tpe I will ramp up my offense when I break into the top 2 lines. A 1300+ defensive/counter attacking forward should hopefully help us win some games in the mean time. [100+]

-I’d have to say JayWhy has a strategic edge as he’s been to the cup finals before as a player and I believe as a GM, also being a long time league veteran he knows what it takes to win. He has a deep understanding of the sim and I think will be more poised to make those tough decisions if the series goes deep. Grape obviously deserves to be there also, but I’d give the edge to JayWhy and Manhattan based on experience, but should be a close series as both managers are capable. [50+]

2. Manhattan has been rocking a pretty evenly-distributed ice time for forwards (35-33-32) whereas San Francisco is going a bit more top-heavy (40-40-15). Which approach do you think is better for a fierce Challenge Cup series?

-I think the best approach is to stick with what’s working and what go you there, until it stops working and you fall behind in the series and need a change. At that time you assess the series, the line stats, shots, plus minus, etc and come up with a new set up that you’re confident in.  That being said I'd probably lean toward manhattan’s more evenly distributed approach going with depth over san fran's 2 stronger lines approach, although line 3 will play more than 15% by default anyway, so the lines should come out somewhat even for both teams in the end. Both can work though. [50+]

My alternate reality is very close to the current reality. The regular season standings would remain the same except that the New England Wolfpack would sneak in ahead of the Toronto North Stars.

In the East:
Round 1: Buffalo defeats the Wolfpack in 5 to set up a matchup against the Steelhawks.
Round 2: The Rage gets crushed by the high scoring Syndicate. Buffalo’s run is cut short in 7 games by the trigger-happy Steelhawks:
Round 3: The Steelhawks sneak by the Syndicate in OT to reach a second consecutive cup final.

In the West:
Round 1: Calgary ruins the Panthers’s hopes once more in a 6 game affair. The Panthers’s offense forgets how to hockey
Round 2: Blizzard is too strong for the Specters to compete. It’s a 4-game sweep. The Dragons with games 1 & 2 only to be crushed 4-2 by the Pride.
Round 3: Familiar foes face off again in the conference final. The Pride is just too deep for the Blizzard this year. San Francisco get to the cup finals.

Finals:
Do you believe in miracles? Chris Partridge plays out of his mind in Game 7 of the cup finals to win it 1-0 in OT. Cleo Green scores the cup winning goal to give the Californian franchise it’s first cup. The ghosts of the Portland Admirals are finally put to rest.

The Most Generic Prompt of All Time - what is your player looking forward to in the offseason? What are they planning on doing? Training? Relaxing? Testing free agency? Whatever it is, let us know!

After being eliminated in the 2nd round of the SMJHL playoffs, Luca Del Vecchio was immensely disappointed with himself. What was supposed to be a championship contending team, struggled all season with penalties and special teams and never showed it’s true potential. Furthermore, Luca had to share the net with Cilian Kavanagh; and although the two netminders got along well, goaltenders are very selfish human beings. The net wasn’t big enough for both of them.
It was much to his surprise that the West Kendall Platoon contacted him this off-season telling him he would be called up to defend the nets in Miami. With the ageing Beaujeaux Biscuit in net, the time was ripe to bring in the future sooner rather than later.
It was with the mindset of being physically and mentally ready for his rookie season that Luca went into the off-season determined to be the best he can be. Vacations could wait. Now was the time to go all out training. (164 words)

1. I think that luketd, with his GMing experience from managing the Vancouver Whalers, gives the front office staff of the Manhattan rage an advantage. Luke has won at the SMJHL level and has produced significant analysis media of anything related to SimonT. Removing the randomness of STHS, I would give the Rage the edge solely based on his analytics work.  (60 words)

2. Both teams got to the finals rocking their own style of time distribution. Depth is always the key in playoffs and the Rage would certainly hold an advantage in that aspect if they are able to roll 3 lines constantly versus the 2 from the Pride. But there is no day to day fatigue, so this point is moot. (59 words)

3. I’m going to be honest here, I’m not a fan of either logos. I can certainly appreciate the bull on the Rage’s logo, and I get the whole gold-purple royal Pride colour scheme, but I cannot choose either of them. I guess if you put a gun against my head and told me to choose, I would go with the Rage’s logo based off the color scheme. (67 words)

4. Not going to lie, I really love the name Ray Bork from the San Francisco Pride. Not only is it an allusion to the great Ray Bourque, but the word ‘bork’ is a way to hear a dog bark. It is a very derpy sounding name and a great play on word. This to me, distinguishes the name from other funny names as it is less in your face. (69 words)

5. Luke and I get along well from our SMJHL days as GMs and he knows my hate of Gritty. So especially for that reason, I would choose a private Gritty meet-and-greet so I can beat the hell out of that damned mascot. The orange monster looks like the meth-addicted cousin to Youppi and is overall a poor copy of him. People aren’t laughing with Gritty @luketd , they’re laughing at him. (71 words)

The most obvious (and at the same time ridiculous) one I can think of is the following: We all know how Toronto somehow managed to make the playoffs (I'd like to think that I helped with it) and this still happens. However, instead of Buffalo sweeping Toronto in the first round, the opposite happens. That's the start and it will upset pretty much anyone who isn't part of the Toronto team. Yes, that team that was supposed to tank and had no business of even being in the playoffs. But wait, it doesn't end here, it gets better. They will also sweep their next opponent (I'll leave this open, let it be the least likely one) and why not continue and sweep their way to the Challenge Cup? We all know with Simon anything is possible and in this reality just that is possible. Fun fact on the side: Toronto's average TPE per player is less than half of Buffalo's. (160 words)

Thanks @StamkosFan for the above submission. (link to this post to claim 1 uncapped TPE for the suggestion!)

I actually believe that since switching from STHS to FHM we can't continue to use the old system as a reference for the upcoming casino season. In fact since we're entering a completely new era and at least I have no idea what kind of results to expect, I would say there is no way of coming up with any casino odds. We can't look at S52 and say because team X had more wins than team Y it has better odds in S53. The best option would be to take one season to simply monitor the results and see if anything changes and then base the casino odds for the next season (so the second in the FHM era, S54) on the first one (S53). In other words - skip casino in S53 and implement it again in S54. It would only be fair for everyone even if it means to have no casino for one season. (158 words)

For skaters this is probably a lot easier, but for goalies there aren't any defined builds (that I know of). I've done my own research and discussed this with other goalies and I believe we can 'somehow' continue to group goalie attributes into different groups again. According to what I've read the most important attributes are Positioning, Reflexes, Recovery and Rebound - for a hybrid goalie like my player perhaps with a little more focus on Rebound control compared to Reflexes, but I see those are the primaries. Additionally there are the three location attributes Blocker, Glove and Low Shots. Here I will focus on the first two, but they're all important. Obviously we can't forget about Mental Toughness. Playing for a team like Toronto it's important to be tough, because there's going to be a lot of goals against. (140 words)

Since I just recently signed a long-term contract I don't have to worry about where to play in the next seasons, so definitely no free agency for me. During the offseason I will likely do what I do every season. Having some kind of plan works very well and I have it more or less figured out. In the beginning I will just relax, sleep a lot and really do nothing. Maybe meet with some friends at home that I don't see much during the season. Then I'll go on vacation somewhere, travel a little, but not very long (this depends on how long my offseason is). After that I'll start training, slowly, but structured. So essentially I'll do a little bit of everything and the offseason goes by relatively quickly every year anyway. At the moment I'm preparing for the next IIHF tournament. Luckily there's always some more hockey between the SHL seasons. (154 words)

Which player from the Rage or the Pride would you bet on to win a regular season individual award in a future season? What player and what award? What makes you think they'll live up to their potential and take home the hardware?

I will have to vote for a fellow goalie here. Peter Larson (Rage) had a great season and made it all the way to the final. If he doesn't win the McBride (best goalie award) this season, it's going to happen in one of the next few seasons for sure. You need to have a combination of a) a good player build, b) a good team behind you and c) some luck and Peter Larson kind of fits right in here. I actually do believe he might win it this year (five shutouts, best SV% in the league and very high in some of the other goalie stat categories). I really don't mind, as long as I get to win it at some point in the future as well. (129 words)

The SHL is taking a stand and trying to do its part in reducing its carbon footprint. One of the proposed ideas is to eliminate back and forth air travel during the Challenge Cup and Four Star Cup finals and instead hold all 4-7 games in one neutral, rotating location a la the Super Bowl. Are you FOR or AGAINST this idea? Why?

I'm against it. I mean I do support the whole 'reducing the carbon footprint' idea and it needs to change, but every team would like to play in their home arena in front of their home fans. Especially during the playoffs it's something unique. If you hold the event somewhere else you lose that special atmosphere and I'm sure not all fans will be able to afford traveling to that different location. I'm sure the league can find plenty of other ways to save the environment if they're really planning to change something, let's keep the locations for the playoffs traditional. (101 words)

I like both to be honest, but I like the Rage logo a little more. I like the details that are hidden in it. When you first look at it, you don't notice much going on, you basically just see the bull. However, when you look closer you see the M at the bottom and the little building which represent the team's location (Manhattan). I think it's a very clever logo and clearly one of the best in the league. (80 words)

Of all the crazy infinite realities out there that I have the inside scoop on, the “big one” of this season would have to be the one where Delver Fudgeson puts on a clinic to end the season for the New England Wolfpack. In this world, the rookie d-man started blasting home goals in the final stretch, and NEW managed to squeak into the playoffs. Not to stop there, Delver kept his offensive touch up, and managed to lead the Wolfpack’s offense through the rounds, dragging the team all the way to the Championship round. Unfortunately, it was right around here where the effort faltered, and they fell short of their final goal. In the off-season, Ace still trades Delver Fudgeson out of town, but at least Delver sees it coming in this scenario, as it makes sense to sell high, rather than… well, what happened, which was selling low on a mediocre rookie.

What one attribute are you going to focus on most? Of all the attributes in the game, what is your player going to strive to be the absolute best at? In learning the ins and outs of the new system, I have done some research into what I want my player to become. In his career so far, I have tried to become a goal scoring defenceman. I still would like to do that, but I have decided to go about it in a different way. I am starting my “FHM Career” attempting to see how a Rushing D style will work for me. Speed, shooting, puck handling are all skills I have focused on this off season, and I feel like I may have a competent build for that role. At the same time, I haven’t sacrificed defensive ability, which is something I was always focused on. If this rushing style doesn’t work out for me, I’m still in a position where I can easily transition my game into a more two-way style that will likely be a simpler, safer style. That is only a fall back though, as currently I am working on becoming as fast as I can to join in and help the offense whenever I can.

The Most Generic Prompt of All Time - what is your player looking forward to in the offseason? What are they planning on doing? Training? Relaxing? Testing free agency? Whatever it is, let us know!

My off season started much differently than I imagined, and changed my plans for what I was going to do. I have had to settle quickly in my new Florida home after my surprising trade to the West Kendall Platoon. But my new Florida life has to take a backseat to the task at hand. I find myself training hard to get into the best shape of my life. Right now I could use work on many aspects of my game to push to a new level, but I am now thrust into a top 4 role unexpectedly, and with an increase in minutes, I am hitting the gym every day to improve my cardio. I was a bottom pairing guy in New England, and never really had to focus on what I’m eating and how much exercise I got. But now I need to be able to log big minutes, and we’ll see how my body holds up when the season starts.

Why?

Absolutely AGAINST. There is no way I think that you can do this for an entire series. The cost would be astronomical for the fans. If a fan wants to justify the trip, they would have to stay in the city and see multiple games, which increases the cost making it unreasonable to ask. It takes the whole city out of the game too. The best part about the home team winning is the celebration that takes place that night. Plus it would be easier for people who aren’t even fans of either team to go see them play. I think the Finals should be an event for the fans of the two teams that got there.

There once was a drunkard from Boston
He hated a young man named Auston
When the Leafs came to town
The drunkard would frown
The young man would dodge cans as he tossed em

Delver was once on the Wolfpack
Ace then decided to backtrack
He picked up the phone
Found Delver a new home
And told him “don’t ever come back”

5. Would you rather: (a) a chainsaw lesson with JayWhy, (b) a private Gritty meet-and-greet for you and Luke, © an all-you-can-eat grape buffet experience with Grapehead, or (d) an hour session where DaftRaincloud shows you everything from his internet history?

1: I feel like it’s the safe choice to go with the veteran leaders here. Which is why I will be doing so. These guys know the ins and outs of the simulation and probably have plenty of backup options in the back of their heads in terms of lineups, if the series starts off poorly. This isn’t necessarily a comment on the teams and what the outcome will be, but if I had to take a stab at guessing which team has the advantage in the coaching/tactics area, it’s the wily vets.

2: Rolling lines and having good depth is important, but the onslaught that is the 40-40-15 can create difficult matchups to handle. The top heavy monsters coming at your third line so frequently is very hard to deal with, even as strong as one’s third line may be. I would bet on top heavy in these finals.

3: Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion. I disagree in this instance. I wouldn’t even call the Rage or the Pride the best logo in their respective conference. The Jets and Specters are absolutely elite in the west, while Toronto and even WKP are mutants in the east. You could argue top 3 MAYBE for these two teams in the finals, but to call them the best over these competitors is a little much for my liking.

4: To find the best rostered name in these finals, you have to look no further than the bottom of the depth chart of the Manhattan Rage roster. Depth/Extra forward Backdoor Barnackle has made the biggest impact, name wise, of these finals. Having appeared in 2 minutes of ice time in his 13 games so far, his GreatName/60 is off the charts.

5: I don’t really know any of these guys, so I’m gonna be picking this based on the event more than anything. I think I have to go with the Gritty meet and greet. It would be interesting to see that mutant in person, and maybe get a decent picture and a story out of it. Maybe if I’m lucky, he’ll assault me and I can get on the news that night.

You're put in charge of making the casino odds on the Cup winner for next season. Whom are you giving the best and the worst odds to, and what's your reasoning?

First off I expect to be paid for this when my work is blatantly ripped off for the casino next season. I will accept 1 hug as adequate compensation. I don't really understand how odds work, so I will simply list some of the top teams for next season.

1 - NOLA. That's right, the stars finally align and NOLA takes home the top odds
2 - Hamilton. Because they are Hamilton
3 - Manhattan. They are good and they should continue to be good next season
4 - NEW. I feel like they should be better than they have been?
5 - SFP - As long as they have Cleo they are virtually unstoppable
6 - Edmonton - They are still a top preforming team and they have good talent moving up their system
7 - WKP. That's right. WKP is playoff bound and the league is on notice

He managed a weak 4 points in his rookie SMJHL season, so to make himself feel better he started shooting testosterone, and hitting the gym. Slowly he turned into a little wrecking ball, and a little known fact is Miley Cyrus based her hit song off of Karl's play.
Well he is getting back to his roots and the style of play that made everyone fall in love with him. Checking, Hitting, Defensive awareness are going to be his forte. Best take this as a warning to the other teams, Karl is going to be a hard hitting, fast shutdown expert.

Karl just returned from a relaxing week away at a resort. This season was a little long and physically demanding so some time away from everything did him well. He unwound. Read a book. Ate everything he was not allowed to eat by the team nutritionist, drank copious amounts of everything with an alcohol content, and worked on his bikini tan.

Later in the off season he's looking forward to heading back to Germany for a little bit of time as well to reconnect with family and old friends - being away has been tough on him especially with leaving Halifax for full time play in West Kendall this season. They have been extremely welcoming, but all the change has been gnawing at him. There are rumors about some major league structural change as well, so everything's piling on and building up to a big ball of stress.

On return to this side of the ocean, it's going to be back to the gym to prep for season 53!

The arenas in San Francisco and New York certainly don't need any gimmicks to get people into the stadium for the series, but the arenas want to make sure they're pulling out all the stops on the big stage. Help the concessions department of one of these two teams develop a new product, with marketing specifically pertaining to this finals series, to be sold at the arena during the finals. Describe the product and the marketing in 150 words or create a promotional poster showing the product, its name, the price, etc.

I am going to help marketing produce food for consumption for one teams fans based off the other team (not soylent green, the mascot). Now, unfortunately for San Fran I feel like eating Manhattan Beef is the easy road, so let's forge on ahead with our special custom made Lion Chilli, Burgers, and Hot Dogs made with 100% pure, ethically sourced, free range organic Lions. Now, we could add on sponsorships to help procure this, like maybe the Central Park Zoo? Or an Elephant Sanctuary.
There are a ton of options available to us as well for using other parts of the cat, for example: Turn the hide into expensive coats or mittens to keep your hands warm while facing the frozen pond. Or how about boots, then young, hip Manhattenites can literally walk on top of the Pride. Talk about the perfect New York disrespect.
The final piece to make this a fantastic promotion is Lion Bone Vuvuzela's (how the heck do you spell that?) - Remember the god awful buzzing horns from the South Africa world cup? Those, the city of New York will be buzzing with anticipation with these special Lion Horns!

This reality is just one of infinite realities existing alongside this one in parallel. Take us over to one of those realities in which everything is the same but these S52 playoffs have unfolded differently. What happened in that reality's playoffs and who's in the Challenge Cup over there?
In an unheard of time and space S52 played out in a radically different. This universe saw Chicago trampling through the Eastern Conference on their way to a third straight Challenge Cup appearance. The ability to score on demand has been unheard of in the SHL and may never been seen again. Literal bone crushing hits from the Chicago blue liners are forcing players to retire for medical reasons. The goaltending prowess is on full display after posting 9 straight shut out wins. Teams are simply forfeiting their playoff games because they hope at some point these titans of hockey will be able to be over thrown and the league might one day return to a normal level of play. However until that day comes Chicago will remain the greatest hockey team to have ever existed or ever come into existence. All anyone can do is marvel at the perfection that has spawned. Well the offseason is always full of wonder and magic isn’t it? Tibuk Soonika will likely be spending a couple weeks resting and recouperating form the long season 52. That is of course sarcasm because Chicago was knocked out in their first round matchup. Tibuk has thus far used most of his offseason time brooding and plotting diabolical revenge. Once he realizes revenge is expensive (and that he really has no money) he will likely turn his attention on prepping for the upcoming season. There is a lot of work to do and Tibuk is hoping that he will be a leader in the SHL as it moves to it’s new format. San Francisco has invested significant time into planning on what their S52 marketing plan was going to be. In the end they have jumped on the idea of dressing up their fans as Lions. “Help the Pride, Be the Pride” is the tag line they are going with. Just a few of the many ideas we are seeing include giving away lions manes at home games so fans show their “Pride”. They have also replaced the common #1 foam finger with a large foam lions paw for children. Paws are retailing for $25.99 or if you purchase the special Pride currency sold only in the official Pride store. You can pick them up for only 1200 Lion Lira (this results in a $5 savings). The Pride had also experimented with less traditional Lion related costume items but found they were attracting far too many people that associated themselves with the furry community than they were comfortable with. Yikes, really pray for mojo with that one!

Blocking shots. I hope to be the career leader of blocked shots, Dan Girardi style. I feel like it's such a weird part of hockey that there are dudes in the league who dive in front of shits and get clunked upside the fucking dome for the team, when there's a dude in like a bulletproof vest with a mask *right fucking there* who's entire job is doing that. It's so unnecessary and badass, I love it. Nothing gets me hornier than a good, fat, blocked shot. You remember the one where Danny G got the puck stuck under his visor and looked like a pirate? If that doesn't happen to me then I fucking quit the sim, I quit the league, I quit everything.

Dilker, ol' Daftraincloud. I fully expect him to get a dedicated member award sometime in the future, he's doing a ton of work in terms of media development and that's such an underrated part of the league. His videos for the awards, the live commentary for the J's game 7 and stuff. He's gonna keep pushing the envelope and doing great things. It's a ton of effort and I know he worries that it won't pay off, but it absolutely does, and I was low key hopeful Darnell's last season in the J he would win an award so I'd get to have a cool video by Dilk to remember the season by. Oh well.

That's a tough one. In theory I'm for it, right? Gotta protect the environment. But having the finals spread out the way they are allows for home crowds to really get in on the action, and it's a special part of sport. Winning it in a game 7 on home ice? There can't possibly be a better feeling in the whole world, or a better moment than lifting the cup in all of sports. Holding the events in a neutral location may also have unforeseen drawbacks as well, causing fans to travel to the neutral location just the same way the two teams already travel? Perhaps. Perhaps a study should be done to draw a conclusion as to just how much of an offset it would be to reduce player and team travel compared to the increased travel to a neutral venue.

Getting back to Anchorage to see how player development is coming along, going back home to visit family, but most of all training. Working on everything. Skating. The transition to a new rule set in the league will be interesting, and while everything is mostly the same there will be enough of a change to shake everything up and really change the dynamic of the league. Getting back to NOLA early will be crucial, learning new lines, new routines, new set pieces with new players. Darnell has also stepped into something of a player/coaching role in NOLA at least for the transition phase into the new rulebook, as he's familiar with it from his time playing in college. This is a big offseason for Darnell, and he just hopes he can live up to the expectations that have been put upon him. But with good senior coaching and management, he should be able to thrive even in the chaos of a refreshed league.

Picture this. Toronto. Tankronto. In the finals. An average of 600 tpe across their entire team. Multiple 155 IAs on the final roster. Game 5, winning it all away. The league? It inverts upon itself, exploding back outwards in a heated rage. Collectively we all dig a trench and get to slaughtering, laying the corpse of the discarded STHS into it. We chop it up with our shovels and mattocks, douse it in gasoline and bury it, but not before desecrating its final resting place by pissing all over its remains. It matters not, though, as ML has somehow become a Joker-like figure in the league, his impeccable form and strategy of tank it until you make it actually mattering. His chaotic energy unmatched, he single-handedly wills Toronto into a three-peat in the new FHM. As the chaos and dust of the league settles and the formula becomes more understood.... ML still reigns supreme, the most successful GM in the history of the league. None may ever touch his legacy.

1. Neither. I don't know. Both? Do tactics even matter in STHS? I guess I'm gonna say Pride because Daft is my boy, but I don't think anything matters. Welcome to nihilism boys, sponsored by STHS. Pride managed to beat the Specters, who I think are a good team that's developed well and has been managed very well. So maybe there is something to it.

2. I think Manhattan's style will be better suited for a longer series. Spreading ice time more evenly can allow for some more favorable matchups, especially towards the bottom. Remains to be seen whether or not it'll come to matter in this series. But here's to hoping STHS is better than a coin-flip simulator. I mean, at least that would explain Toronto.

I don't know how he skates as fast as he does with that fuckin THANG on him at all times.

5. D. Gimmie that hour session with Daft because you know man's got some good stuff in that history. Hopefully it was a slow day in the realm, otherwise some really weird shit might be in there though. Like slimmy snails or whatever weird shit he was into that one day. This reality could’ve very likely been the current reality because of the INCOMPETENCE of the SHL HEAD OFFICE. Imagine having a team that actively and openly used performance enhancing drugs (also known as 40 Passing) and not thrusting them into the shadow realm, never to step foot on an SHL rink again. However, we live in a reality where that didn’t happen and they had the opportunity to drug their way to another questionable Challenge Cup. There is a good chance that the Hamilton Drughawks would win every Challenge Cup following S51 because their drug use rapidly increased their level of play and put them in an upper echelon that towers over the rest of the SHL. Luckily for the betterment of the Simulation Hockey League, the Buffalo Stampede’s GMs were able to utilize their superior foresight and decided to call up the Anchorage Armada’s all-star defenseman, Augustus Wang. The coaching staff strategically played Wang only 1 minute on the powerplay, but that was all he needed in order to destroy the mental toughness of the drugged-up Steelhawks and to save the future of the SHL. Wang would like to thank his coaches, management, family and his friends for giving him such immense power that allowed the SHL to avoid a potential doomsday scenario.

The main focus in FHM is going to be focusing on passing and keeping that as low as possible. The main reason for this should be because why should I have to pass the puck when I will almost always have the best scoring chances wherever I am on the ice? I am disgusted that passing is even an option. Just look at the Hamilton Steelhawks in S51. Those guys barely passed the puck at all and that was only due to the soft, beta players that they had on that team who were too scared to dangle around everybody and snipe one top titty bardownskis, ferda.

With Augustus’ recent call up to the show, the Big Wanger is looking forward to kicking back and relaxing for the first couple of months with the Anchorage boys as he usually does every season. The biggest thing this year is that his 1 minute of play in the SHL Eastern Conference Semi-Finals against Hamilton Steelhawks was all that was needed to take down former teammate Samuel Michaud. Wang is extremely excited for all the chirps that he has ready for him when they go on their annual fishing trip because literally everyone and their mother had Hamilton as the favourites to win it all.

After the relaxing though, Augustus noted that he is extremely excited for the move to Buffalo and to finally be a member of elite hockey players in the SHL. He takes pride in the fact that he is a member of an established franchise that has a reputation for winning and he believes that he will be a big member of bringing, hopefully, another Challenge Cup to the city of Buffalo.

Why?

I’m totally in favour for having all of the games in one place, but not for the reason of being eco-friendly. In fact, I am a strong believer that we should have the SHL and SMJHL finals in cities that have the longest championship droughts. This is just to take pity on the fact that those teams will have the opportunity to watch good hockey rather than the pile of shit they are likely accustomed to seeing. However, I think it’d be detrimental to the competitiveness because lazy General Managers and Owners would be willing to tank hard for not only the chance at a first overall pick, but also the opportunity to be the host of the Challenge Cup or Four Star Cup finals.

#4 this offseason I'm taking my talents to pittsburgh for some good ole pierogies iron city beer dahntahn activitys fios in the mon [monogahala river) ice balls at Gus n yayas and many many many sup cuzzzzzz's with the boys. After I'm done raising hell in americas finest city it's time to train 5 miles a day kettle bells and backhander workouts followed by alot of milk organic milk only no GMOs crap. Once finished doing that 763 times a day I'll watch old re runs of terry bradshaw the heart and soul of the shl it really helps to ignite my passion into the game during these down times we have every off season after pounding 32 brews and yelling at the same highlights I've seen 7000000 times it's on to phineas golds house for some good old fashioned nose beers nothing like some pure phineas cocaine to finish of the night and jump start the next day honestly best off season ever.

#1 things went differently for tampa because michael fitted was the first ever 4000 tpe player ever leading tampa to there 5th straight cup each one of course he started in. This cup however [the 5th] was special because fitted even suited up in goal all playoffs and still led the playoffs in goals just taking the puck behind the net then dekeing the whole opposition and leaving them in the dust netting hat tricks in 7 games. All sweeps for tampa too it was a juggernaut with fitted playing goal taking faceoffs and just being the most dominant force in shl history during game 3 of the confrence finals they even build a statue of him and people wrote him in for president it was after game one of the finals he actually bought the team with his left over tpe after tampa won the cup he quickly denounced sths and made all existing players no longer exist this would be Tampa 5th straight cup and immediately after fitted retired along with all of tampa they have now become a legend team and no one can play for them unless they get the michael fitted hat trick, drink a beer ,take a faceoff , make 5 straight daves yes daves not saves they have to have 5 children named dave this world was amazing

#8. Of course the finals should be held in pittsburgh to reduce carbon and while everyone is here we can enjoy good ole yuengling and mon water while watching all my favorite Pittsburgh shows at my favorite pittsburgh bar I can invite all my fellow kracken brethren to hoist up those ying luengs and start screaming yinnnnnnzzzz its gonna be a good time cant wait for this change to happen. After we watch the games it's down to the river to enjoy pittsburghs best sights the pirates losing games we will head on dahhhhnnnn to watch the biggest thieves in pittsburgh history and there leader bob nutting its gonna be a yinzer celebration

3. In fhm I plan on focusing completly on passing stick handling and playing 0 defensive the babes love the biscuit in the net and I only kinda love the babes so I plan on assisting the puck going in the net with mega skating balance dangles dekes and nifty little threaded passes. In all honesty I hope I never score a goal and get 100 assists a season just keep pumping my teammates beautiful chances and letting them rip home my dimes I try to be a very generous player so maxing passing o read and stickhandling ate supremely high on my list of tpe to push hopefully by s50 I'm the best playmaker in the game its gonna be a fun grind.

#5#5 phineas gold would have to be my pick as a winner for future MVP a key member to the carolina krackens back to back titles hes a true blue chip prospect and I expect his game to continue to grow to great heights. Hes hknestly a truly versatile force out there a winger who can slot into the middle and take draws a strong skater with great anticipation and ability to find the soft spots on a defencse his trajectory in my mind is truly limitless a goal scoring dangler that plays with grit. Hes got the intangables and makeup of a future captain as well in my mind hes going to be a supreme talent once his drug issues wear off but the sky is truly the limit for this once in a generation player.

1) In an alternate reality, the Winnipeg Jets are in the playoffs and they are easily the playoffs. The high powered offense led by Nick Brain and Goku Muerto actually ends up paying off the the Winnipegs' Jets defensemen and goalies find a way to hold strong all regular season. They show up in a big way when the playoffs roll around and they win the first two rounds easily. In the finals, they are very clearly the favorites but don't know exactly how to make it work. Why does this universe have to be alternate? Frankly its because the Jets don't have the level of talent that they need in the back of their team in defense and goalies. This alternate reality os one that allows an offense to carry a team further than anybody could possibly imagine. I predict this will not only be reality now, but will become a reality on FHM. Keep your eyes peeled. (3 TPE)

2) I would put the odds to win it all on the Chicago Syndicate next year. I believe they have a very smart group of players as well as having a lot of TPE on their team. With FHM coming in, I think Velevra will do a great job of having his players ready on how to build and they already have a lot of talent coming in, so it will be interesting to see how well they do. If I was an oddsmaker, I am giving them the best odds. I am also just a massive kylrad fan and love him massively. For the worst odds I would put the Winnipeg Jets. This is because I don't think we are quite in the place to win right now and I don't think we are going to, but also if we do win, then I become a big winner because we beat the odds. It is a win win. I will be the best oddsmaker of all time (3 tpe).

3) I think that I am going to focus the most on speed and I think that it will be the best attribute. Two of my favorite players are Denis Gurianov and Roope Hintz, who are both predicated on being speed demons and have proven to be solid players and scoring threats because of it. If this engine is going to be more realistic like we believe it to be, I predict that speed will be very important because a player can become relevant on their speed alone. For these reasons I believe that speed will be an elite trait followed by the positioning types of traits in the engine, which will also prove to be crucial. (2 TPE)

4) Bale is looking forward to just absolutely grinding this offseason. right now it looks like we are going to be winning the SMJHL cup, which I hope holds to be true. But regardless of it it happens, it is only up from here for Bale. Is he a good player? Yes. Is he amongst the SMJHL elite? Not yet. I think that to get there it is going to take a lot of hard work and dedication which I truly believe will be put in by me. IN addition to that, I will also be spending more time with the guys that will be staying down in Arizona to see how we can better vibe for next season. Bale will likely be called up to train with the big dogs of Winnipeg in training camp and be sent back down to the SHL after being relatively impressive. It will be good to pick the brains of Nick Brain and Goku Muerto as he slowly develops into a star in the SMJHL. (3 TPE)

6) I am against this idea. Do you think I care about the carbon footprint of this league? No, Bale will be dead very soon with the way that he lives. And one neutral location game? How are we getting there. Fact of the matter is that the home advantage of the playoffs is something that you win for in the regular season. It is also something that just makes it more exciting for the players and the fans. It is an elite part of the game and I do not think that it would be fair to anybody involved with the league to stop the games from traveling to fun cities. Not sure who had this idea, but fire them. (2 TPE)

8) I'm sorry but the best promotion simply has to be a foam finger promotion. There is no reason you go to sports games and be excited other than to get foam fingers. It is a childish joy that every kid craves and one that every adult wants to have a chance to feel again. It only makes sense for the San Francisco Pride to sell foam fingers. A sexy purple and gold, they could look at LSU and see if they could help them some with color and design. I think foam fingers bring excitement and maybe if somebody gets a hat trick we choose to send the foam fingers down to the rink. Again, this isn't a definitive idea, but this is undoubtedly the best marketing ploy a team has ever seen. It appeals to people at every level. I am brilliant and I will take all proceeds from this and I fully plan on getting rich off of this. Thank you friends and fans. (3 TPE)

For now there are two attributes that stand out to me most. One of them is shooting accuracy, where I am already building myself up to be pretty good, at a 17. The other one is speed. I tend to think speed is always a great rating to focus on. Speed just allows you to run around more and do better against your opponents. I think I also have that at a 17. I am not sure if those are the best two, but I think they help the kind of player I want to be. I think through that I can really be a good player that can help my team achieve a decent season. I am not sure how well I can really do as a rookie, as most other players will have better builds simply by having more TPE but I can improve every season hopefully.

4. Written, 3 TPE (150 words min.)
As someone who has been in the juniors league my entire career so far and who is looking to be called up to the majors for the first time in the next season, my main focus is on preparation. I want to be ready to play decently well and achieve some smaller goals I have set myself as a rookie. It will not be easy, as I am sure there are other rookies around with even more TPE or who know the league better, but I think I can do alright. Switching engines was a big factor too, so just feeling prepared for being called up is the main focus for me. That also means I have to practice more, get on the ice, skate around, do some shooting. I need to be ready to contribute right away, as I don't want to hurt my team's chances to do well next season. I need to be a good player if I want to help my team. I think I can do that by preparing really well for the season and practice is a major part of that.

6. Written, 2 TPE (100 words min.)
I actually love this idea. We only get one planet and I think we need to be able to do our best with it. Playing in neutral areas could also increase the fairness in the finals. I think it would be fun to have a host city similar to the super bowl, the city could do some fun events every day, it will be fun and cool, plus this will really help the planet, it's an idea I really love and appreciate and I love that this was even a suggestion. Really cool idea, for whoever came up with it. I would be in favor of actually doing this IRL too.

2. Manhattan has been rocking a pretty evenly-distributed ice time for forwards (35-33-32) whereas San Francisco is going a bit more top-heavy (40-40-15). Which approach do you think is better for a fierce Challenge Cup series?

Typically I think having a top heavy approach seems best for these type of series. If you are San Francisco, you want your best players to see the most ice time in the finals. And if you can really make an impact there, it could decide the series. I like their approach better. Let your star players win the series for you!

3. The Rage and the Pride have, in my opinion at least, two of the best logos in the entire SHL. Which team's logo do you like more and why?

The Pride have a fantastic logo and in general a great branding. I am a really big fan of it. I do wish they would include the "Pride" factor a bit more, but I understand that is a bit controversial maybe. Still love their logo! I think they seem really approachable as well, the logo helps with that.

People love grapes! I mean, seriously. Who doesn't love a good grape. It's delicious and tasty. So obviously I would love an all I can eat grape buffet experience. It's not even a question. I feel like if I was hungry, I could eat a ton of grapes. Yum. I kind of want to get some grapes now actually!

Shooting and definitely not passing. Duh. You can't win without scoring goals, you can’t score a goal without shooting the puck and the more you shoot the more you score. If you look at the top goal scorers in the NHL, all of them average at least 3 shots per game. Even though his shot rate has declined a little in recent years, Ovechkin still gets 4-5 shots on goal in every game. In 2009 he had 528 shots in 79 games which is absolutely absurd. I don't understand why anyone would want to pass the puck when they could just shoot it. Passes lead to turnovers, shot attempts lead to goals and wins, it's as simple as that.

The Most Generic Prompt of All Time - what is your player looking forward to in the offseason? What are they planning on doing? Training? Relaxing? Testing free agency? Whatever it is, let us know!

Between IIHF and SHL my player has appeared in a lot of games over the past few seasons, and even though it was disappointing to lose in the playoffs it was nice to get a little break. I started my offseason by going on a 2-week vacation and I'm trying not to think about hockey for a while. I know that when I get back the first item on my list will be my pending free agency. I would like to sign an extension with Hamilton but so far we haven't been able to get it done. When I signed my previous extension, which was 3 years at minimum salary, I said that it was a bridge deal and once I proved myself I'd want a bigger contract. I would like to become the first player in shl history to sign a 10x10 contract, and I understand that it might not be the best thing for the team but I want to get paid

Which player from the Rage or the Pride would you bet on to win a regular season individual award in a future season? What player and what award? What makes you think they'll live up to their potential and take home the hardware?

I think Tokek Takshak will win almost every award imaginable because he’s a generational young defenseman who is just entering his prime. He is one of the greatest TPE earners in the history of this league as he hasn't missed a single tpe opportunity and he's on pace for 2457 tpe which would be the best ever. Despite only being a 3rd year player Takshak has already carried his team to the Challenge Cup final by scoring 31 points in 17 games to go along with 103 shots, 73 hits and 82 blocks. He will win multiple Stevens in the future, and he's about to win the finals MVP and the Challenge Cup. :GEEEEEECK:

1. I think strategic edge does exist in sths but there isn't a huge difference between mediocre lines and good lines, and everyone can put together mediocre lines/strats. After that you could sim thousands of games but you're going to improve your chances to win by 2-3% at best, which isn't that significant. With that said, Manhattan won the series so I think their management have the advantage
2. I think it depends on your roster. Generally you should try to have 3 good lines that get equal amount of ice time because endurance is a factor in sths and you should be careful not to overplay your top players but if you don't have a deep roster going top-heavy might be more beneficial.
3. More or less I think all logos in shl are good and I don't really have a favorite, but if I had to choose one between Manhattan and SFP I would probably have to go with the SFP's logo just because their color scheme (purple and gold) reminds me of my favorite basketball team.
4. My favorite player name in this series is probably Luke Thomason from Manhattan. Mostly because everyone seems to think that it's Thompson at first, at least I did. When Luke drafted me to Vancouver Whalers it took me a while to realize that his last name isn't actually Thompson. Or maybe I was just distracted by his Gritty avatar, go Penguins

Welp, you waited until the last day to grind out your CW and the CC finals are longggggggg over by now. congrats to [TEAM], woo! Reflecting back on the series, who gets your vote for series MVP? Make the case why this player deserves it over any other.

I think the goalie is the most important player on the team, especially in the playoffs, and often when the team wins it's because the goalie played well. I think this was the case in this series as we saw some incredible individual performances from Manhattan's goaltender Peter Larson. If you look at saves/shots from each game, Larsson was good or very good in every game:
20/24
41/43
31/31
46/48
22/24
34/36

He allowed 2 goals or less in 5 games out of 6, including 2 games with 40+ shots against and 1 shutout. A lot of players did well for Manhattan in this series but I think my vote for finals MVP would go to Larsson.

1.  There is an alternate universe out there where things unfolded a bit differently from the reality that we experienced together which has the San Francisco Pride facing the Manhattan Rage.  This east coast vs west coast match up will certainly be interesting but in this alternate reality, neither team finds themselves in the championship.  In this world, the Edmonton Blizzard and the Hamilton Steelhawks are facing off for the Cup and the Edmonton Blizzard ultimately win it all.  The Cup would stay in Canada much to the delight of their fans.  The series would go seven games and end in an exciting over time winner to seal the deal for the Blizzard.  The cup celebration was huge in Edmonton as the entire city came out to take part.  It wasn't quite a riot in the streets but the party lasted long into the night.  The team was seen throwing Molson beers out to eager fans and everyone got drunk.

3. My goal for my player will be to maximize the attributes that will allow my player to be an effective offensive threat from the blue line.  While I am not completely familiar with every attribute and what it will do for the player, i think it is clear that shooting range and shooting accuracy will be critical to being able to put the puck in the back of the net.  I will focus on shooting range to make sure that my player is taking shots from the point first and then I will work on the accuracy portion.  Hopefully that gives me the chance to be a major offensive contributor.

4.  This off season will be spent trying to figure out the new sim system and making sure I am spending my time and resources in the right areas.  For my player personally though, the summer will likely be spent heading home to Ireland to play a little golf, catch up with some friends, spend some time with the family and recharge the batteries.  A couple of my old high school team mates are planning to hit the ice for a little informal summer league to make sure we do not get rusty so that should be fun as well.  Training will be very important as my skills are still not quite where they need to be to get into the SHL so I know I will be spending one more season in Detroit and hopefully we will win the championship this time.  I expect that I can add some muscle and get my endurance up too.  My goal for this season is to clearly be ready to play at the next level and possibly on the international stage for the first time.

6.  Everyone is looking to reduce their carbon footprint these days as we are facing a global crisis of temperatures rising all over.  The effects of this have been seen in the strange weather patterns and an increase in damaging storms that have caused billions if not trillions of dollars in damage at this point.  A proposal is out for the SHL to switch their championship structure to a neutral site rather than having teams travel back and forth.  The issue I have with this is that you're talking about reducing two airplanes (one for each team) if they had to go between cities.  This would pale in comparison to the massive number of flights that each teams fans would need to take to get to the neutral site causing a net increase.  I am strongly against this.

14.1  In the real world, companies pay for experience which is why more tenured employees generally make more than less tenured.  In the game of hockey, experience counts as well.  Jay and Grapehead bring that experience to the table which translates to deeper knowledge of the game and how to change tactics.  This does not mean that a young up and coming GM duo could not pick them off though.

14.2  While balance is key in most things, when it comes to the championship of any sport, you want to win or lose with your best players on the pitch.  It is no different in hockey which is why San Francisco is counting on it's top players to shine and come up with the production needed to win.  Since this is a lay it all on the line scenario, there is no reason to hold back at this point.  There will be plenty of time to rest in the off season.
Code:

14.3  Logos are what you see your fans wearing around town and what can get them excited about supporting your team.  While I like San Fran's chances to win the cup better, I think the Manhattan Rage have the better logo.  There is something about that bull and the font of the rage that really makes it one of the best in the league.  I am not sure it will do anything to intimate their opponents but at least they will look good.
Code:

14.4 My favorite player name is a bit biased because one of the players on the San Francisco Pride essentially has my last name.  Charlie Schieck, defenseman for the pride is the guy I would go with.  The fact that he is one of the General Managers players makes me think that he is pretty good at the game too.  Not a bad choice although I am not sure how he decided to go with that.

14.5 This is the absolute easiest question in the whole bunch.  It is a no brainer that I would choose the meeting with Gritty along with Luke.  Gritty is by far the greatest sports mascot in the history of sport.  Legend has it that when he found out he did not win first, second, and third greatest mascot of all time, he flew out to see second and third and punched them in the face.
