S55 mPT #1 - Home Ice Advantage

Tampa Bay has the biggest home ice advantage. While some players are used to the drumming, pounding, overwhelming thunder of a home crowd on their feet, Tampa Bay knows no such blessing. But, there is advantage here. The eerie quietness of the empty theater unnerves some players. They aren't used to it. And indeed, when their own home crowd is silent, it's because they are upset at the home team for having given up 5 goals to none. There is disappointment in that silence. But here, there is none. Only hockey. Pure and simple.

as a man who grew up in Newfoundland, i have to crown the Newfoundland Berserkers as the team with the 'most home ice advantage'. Newfoundlanders are nuts for their (simulation) hockey. And with George Street being a 10 minute walk from the arena, im certain the players are given the celebrity treatment after each dub - as well as distract the away team before each game in St. John's (the vegas of the East)

The Armada has the greatest home-ice advantage because it is so far from everything else it litterally takes the will to live out of their opponents.

While it may not seem like it, most important Home Ice Advantage in the league is in Tampa Bay. Last season we wanted better draft pick, but this season we will be taking a page out of great American hero George Halas’ playbook and filling opponents’ equipment with itching powder before each game.

There is no doubt that the new SMJHL franchise based in Nevada has the loudest and proudest fans out there. People excell not only with weird fan props (like large amounts of tumbleweed) but also with the strangest goal celebrations that include a lot of rocks and hard liquor.

I think the Los Angeles Panthers has the best home-ice advantage because they have the most attendance in the SHL last season. They always finish first in the western conference because they always win in LA.

In the SHL I would say the Buffalo Stampede have the biggest home ice advantage. Why? Well, because when you get one of those classic Buffalo lake effect snow bands, it's hard to get in or out. And if the team can't get in to play then the home team wins, right?

It's the Manhattan Rage. We invite opposing teams to a show or two before our games. Take them out to the best places. Even get a good bar and food rotation going with them. We've got so many places to take them, a vet will only see a repeat if we really like the place. The poor fools tend to gorge themselves.

I think Kelowna has the best home ice advantage. Here's why.

Peak wine country, well maybe not peak, but they have good wine, I think so anyways.

Bears, they have big bears, small bears, little bears, bears as far as the eye can see. Or if you can't see them, you're probably the next meal.

Beets, You can grow beets in kelowna, Arguable you can grow them anywhere, but You can also grow them in Kelowna.

Battlestar Galactica, While not filmed in Kelowna, was definitely filmed in BC, Which is close enough to Kelowna.

Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica.

There is some significant bias here, but in my mind, Kelowna always had a huge home ice advantage. I always imagined that their fans were the most die-hard in the SMJHL. They always packed Prospera Place to capacity. Always loud as can be. It’s part Kelowna being my first team, the other part being the deep and successful history the team has. I think with such a rich history, the fans would be more likely to really love the team.

It's been said before in this thread, but I'm gonna say it again.  Kelowna has the best home ice advantage.  Half the time when teams check with the HO on the schedule to figure out where the hell Kelowna is they think the guy just can't pronounce Carolina and go there instead.  Honestly it's kind of boring winning half of our home games by default and the other half because the other team gets so confused on the way to our barn that they forget about the time change as well and warm up so early before the game that they nap through the first period before suiting up during the second.

Tampa bay is clearly the team with the best Home Ice Advantage once the budding SMJHL hockey stars join the team. The fan base in Tampa has absolutely nothing to cheer for other than them. This will definitely cause the arena to always fill up. Merch sales will soar through the roof once players like Dwight Knight and Ambacas Cuddles hit the ice.

Los Angeles places in an arena that looks like you are inside a soccer stadium, according to a player that played in Russia but signed with an LA team from another league. So, I give LA the biggest home ice advantage.l

I think the Quebec City Citadelles have the best home ice advantage? Why? Because the province of Quebec is hockey crazed and they've been deprived of an SHL team and also an SMJHL since S50 so these fans are going to be fully behind this new team.

Its clearly tampa because I play there and yell fucking big noises and such plus theres alot of old people who dont know what's going on, sometimes they throw there canes at the opposing team because they think its there grandkids.
