SHL GM RIP Dangel
The atlanta inferno halloween party brought out a lot of the prominent traits in everyone. Manuel Gotze showed up as a German soccer player, Guy Zheng came as a bodybuilder, showing off those golden glutes of his, and patric twist showed up as a hooligan. Demaricus smyth showed up as a UFC guy (not a fighter but a UFC fan who thinks he's a fighter and he kept challenging everyone to fights). Stan Q Next showed up as a legendary pink-haired pop star. Some other costumes didn't make a whole lot of sense to me but I appreciated the effort everyone put in to their appearance. Michael Withecheck, for example, showed up as some sort of large marlin? Maybe a sailfish? I didn't get it. And Max Egger showed up as like... a bandit? An outlaw, perhaps? Not sure! But all in all, my absolute favorite costume came courtesy of Rainbow Dash, who showed up as a massive egg. No reason, no explanation, just a nice smooth round egg. Very neat!

Woof, it would be easier to list what didn't happen at the Knights Halloween Party, but that's not what was asked so I'll go through the highlights. As an organization we have been very vocal about our love for our rookies and as young guys (and gals) thrust into the spotlight with the expectations of a franchise foisted upon them they've understandably felt the pressure. Typically we make the rooks plan all team parties, but the vets on defense decided to help the young guns out and put together a straight rager of a party just south of the border in Bellingham, WA. Honestly we should have known better than to have a Halloween party that included an international border crossing, but 20/20 hindsight. The rooks stole the show this year so just running through what each of em did starting from even before the party is a wild tale. On the team bus passing through Vancouver Robert Feltersnatch convinced the driver to make an incognito stop by the Whalers training facility and busted out a duffel bag of toilet paper to TP the whole front entrance. Like I get that he asked out of there, but damn dude. Have some chill. Of course the triplets all got in on the fun because where one goes they all go and Malik knew Feltersnatch from their days playing youth hockey. Thankfully that little detour only cost us an hour and we were able to get to downtown Bellingham without any other delays but like... the triplets got really worked up and were taking shots of fireball in their three musketeers costumes on the bus and by the time we got of the bus they weren't let into the venue so Chris Goodname volunteered to sit with them at a local pizza joint to see if they'll sober up enough to rejoin the rest of us (they didn't). And now that brings us back to our last 2 rookies. Hamilton and Pontecorvo have largely been quiet in the locker room this season and kept to themselves. Apparently with that time they've been drinking because those two are olympic heavyweights with alcohol consumption. I challenged Pontecorvo to a drinking contest early on thinking I could get an easy win, but it went more like the intro scene to Raiders of the Lost Ark. She really became the life of the party teaching the team a number of Italian drinking songs. The scariest part of the night though was when Hamilton disappeared. We honestly could not and did not find him and he won't tell us what happened to this day, but he was at the training facility two days later. Once of these days we'll figure out what happened because he definitely showed up with some new ink.

Was going to to do my standard “6’7” Superman” Halloween costume for the Nevada Battleborn Halloween Party But, I developed an allergic reaction to the black hair dye and my Custom lengthened & tailored Superman Outfit got a big scorch mark on it from an unattended iron while “somebody” was trying to find the benedryl for the allergic face swelling.....
So off to find a replacement I went.with No luck ....damn. The best available Superman costume fit a 6’ guy and I almost took it but, with over 6”inches of forearms and lower legs dangling out it was a bit too goofey even for me. Then I spied the thing in the window all 9 feet of it lit was too good to pass up. with the help of a Certain huge Las Vegas Costume shoppe and a sizable deposit from my credit card I was able to come up with something That should be quite a hit..check it out. Now I just gotta get a Uber driver with a open pickup truck to get to the Arena. (180+) UPDATE PAGE Quote:S56 WJC AWARDS

It seems many members of the Winnipeg Jets were high as hell for their Halloween party, probably due to the fact there was a nitrous oxide gas leak in the Jets locker room. Nick Brain remembers being dressed as Tom Selleck's character in Magnum PI, a role he was naturally suited for due to his top tier mustache. Slip McScruff's Halloween costume was a Hutterite food merchant, Strom Chamberlain dressed as a British guy named Lord Chamberlain, acting all pompous and stuff. Goku Muerto dressed up as a Grim Reaper, and kept hanging around Osbert Whacker for some reason. Magnus Liljestrom and Reid Sutherland dressed up as UPS delivery truck drivers and kept running errands for everyone, because they are perpetually rookies and must therefore be lovingly hazed into oblivion. A police officer showed up, dressed as a police officer for Halloween, and threatened to crack some skulls if the Jets didn't quiet down, before getting a good lungful of the laughing gas and joining in with the festitivies. Overall, a fun time, but not one you'd want to do again.

Halloween? More like Hallowiener. Or at least that was the idea going into this season... Foley and Hutton had dicussed at lenght the joint costume of a hot dog and a bun for halloween, which came with a lot of questions around who was the bun, who was the weiner, are costumes attatched or separate? Unfortunately an answer to those questions wasn't necessary, as the world, or Joe K, said fuck the hot dog costume, Hutton is a Spectre, which is infinitely more spooky but not as fun. But Foley already had the weiner portion of the hot dog costume bought so uhh... he had to run with that.
The party itself took it's natural course, Blunt Man showed up in a 'hippie' costume that looked no different from his everyday attire. He was already blazed out of his mind and ran the 'smoke corner'. Friedland rolled up as a sexy cat--with way too much effort put in. He, unsurprisingly, had a trail of women attatched to his furry hips as he made his way around the party (SEX). Kyle Murray (@Jimmysmo27) did the opposite, instead showing up in a full Star Wars outfit with lightsabre and all, minus the Princess Leia's or whoever those nerds want to bone. The rest of the rookies, Ichinose, Hellstrom, Oda, Lilja and Larry, came in the mandated "orange octopus costume" supplied by the anonymous team captain who, unfortunately, doesn't wash them from year to year. Because of his... lack of spirit, Murray ended up getting re-introduced to the concept of getting "Iced" throughout the night, and in every beer pong game he played there was extra emphasis on shooting for the 'naked mile' when against him. There were a couple late arrivals, Groot showed up in full Grape Fruit attire which begged the question--is he in costume every other day than Halloween, or is he actually human? No one has the confidence to ask. Wolfe showed up half slizzard already, in a confusing Fantastc Mr. Fox cosumte, which was concerning enough but no matter how much he drank he was always standing. Vitek and Panico arrived at the same time, Panda wearing hefty shoulder pads and a beer helmet befitting a baseball game, and Viticek with a beer bong painted to look like a sniper rifle. It was a clever costume he probably got some kindergarten kids to work on, and his "Czechian Sniper" title gave him plenty of reason to snag other players beers--including half a pack of teas supplied by Foley. Not cool bro. The natural shenanigans of a team party rolled in, the rookies had to get their hands taped to bottles of 'rona and whoever finished first was free--the rest of them were set to be refilled and re-taped. We played pin-the-puck to the goalie, a game brought on by Jimmy Wagner's breakaway abilities which would always find the puck in the goalies pads or the end boards. The veterans of the team reminisced on the 4 star cup victory, and how much Conner Hutton's name sucks ass. Who the hell uses an E in Connor? At around 12:00 Am the Beer Olympics started. Each letter-bearing player picked a rookie to use as a partner--leaving two rookies to find their partners elsewhere, while other established groups who practiced together were already paired up. Blunt Man and RART were noticeable together, mostly because RART was hopped off his mind on something while Blunt looked like he was about to fall asleep during some events. Shockingly, the Lilja - Foley team didn't bode well. Was it because Foley kept asking the girls there if they'd be the 'buns to his sausage', or both of them preffering to pass and couldn't hit the clutch shots? It's up to interpretation. Only a few players ended up needing the quiet room--otherwise known as the toilet, with Nilsen and Foley eventually succumbing to the effects of their long night out. Some would say it's a bad look for the captain of the team to need to have Murray and Hellstrom watch over him to make sure he doesn't die overnight, but I like to believe it's really an honour he did so--giving warning to his young teammates the effects alcohol can have on them, giving himself up as a martyr to teach them proper drinking and party ettiquite.

Coach Posting Freak Quote:Describe your team's Halloween party this year! Who dressed up as what? Who had the best costume? What shenanigans occurred at the party? (150+ words) The Buffalo Stampede, one of the more forward-focused and progressive organizations in the Simulation Hockey League had a bit of a different Halloween party this year. Due to Covid-19 protocols, the Stampede leadership group decided to adhere to social distancing guidelines, and so had an outdoor party with everyone social distancing. Everyone also adhered to mask protocols, and so costumes this season were a little limited. In order to accommodate everyone and their plus-ones, the Stampede organization rented out New Era Field, the stadium where the Bills play. Food was catered by Buffalo Wild Wings mostly because they have Buffalo in their name. A number of individuals went as various Among Us characters, such as Ferda going as Pink, Fish as Blue, and Grum as purple. Luffy and his girlfriend showed up like members of the Monster's Inc. Contamination Unit, equipped with the full contamination suit and a spray gun full of hand sanitizer. Ultimately, it was a good event, although a little cold. Hopefully next year things can return to normal. 172 words

This year for Halloween the crows hosted a party that everyone on the team showed up too, Young Logo and Colin Lambert came dressed as Average joes because they came to win the contest. Both of the Gms Blitz and Eric Hudson came as bride and a guy in a tux who were getting married I’ll let you decide who took which role in that. The music played was what the team always listened too because Halloween music is terrible and whoever actually enjoyed listening too it my moms a therapist please have a talk. The shenanigans that occurred were taping fake cockroaches on the bathroom walls. The games they played consisted of Beer ball , Beer pong, Beer Die and of course stack cup which they held a tournament and Logo and Colin won because they the best duo to every do anything. Everything was going fine until someone brought out the Jager bombs and Jell-O shots then it went from a nice classy party to a full send. Someone also came as a homeless guy but I didn’t recognize him I’m just assuming it was old man Joe the former gm

The Newfoundland Berserkers had more of a covid-19 safe Halloween party which occured in the locker room at the arena due to not wanting to have outsiders . The Berserkers were careful to keep the party to only those in their teams cohort. Their Halloween Party theme this year was memes. Liam Slate dressed up as Pepe the frog as usual. Captain Lassi Suhonen was dressed as Gritty. Many of the Berserkers dressed up as crewmates from the game Among Us, as well as a killed crewmate and imposter. Overall, the best dressed was Liam Slate as usual. At the party, the Berserkers played a fun game of murder mystery which was put on by an outside company (The only people from outside the cohort). The Berserkers had a blast with many hurling insults and "sus"in each other at every turn. The game began to get ugly when captain Lassi Suhonen called Liam Slate a "small brain" and made fun of him continuously throughout the game. The murderer ended up being figured out as grinder Nicco Livius who managed to kill almost the entire team in the game. Overall the Berserkers had a fun evening at their party with many, many laughs, and lots of fun.

This was the worst Halloween party in for Quebec City Citadelles so far. Because of Corona virus regulations everyone needed to wear medical mask. Most of players had blue masks, others had white ones. Only manager Evok showed in pink one and was the star of the night because of that. There was no eating or drinking so there was no fuel to get this party started.
Second precaution rule was 1.5 meters distance. So everyone had their hockey stick with them and measured safety distance with that; if you could touch other person with stick then you were too close. There was lots of shouting because it was really hard to talk to someone that was 5 meters away. After one hour whole team decided to had enough of this, went home and continue to have this party via internet. At least they could put down medical masks, drink a beer or two and talk with normal tone. But this was still the wort Halloween party so far and hopefully all next ones will be better.

Most team parties would start with a group invite to all their teammates, unfortunately for Valtteri Aalto, he currently does not have an SMJHL team to call home or get an invite from.
Naturally, you think that Aalto had all the time in the world to make the best costume for himself to see. He did make a great costume, but then he spent some time driving around his old neighborhood in Osaka where he currently stays, looking for some fun. Valtteri ended up dressing up as a ghost from goalie’s past, wearing his old Falcons uniform. Of course, this uniform in a place like Osaka looks very foreign to the local people, and Valtteri sticks out there. He found a store along his trip that did have some of the candy he got used to when playing in the US and he could not stop himself from indulging and throwing his diet for a loop. Would anyone like to join?

Halloween is a fantastic time of year. Teylora Petrov decided to dress up as Jughead Jones from Riverdale for Halloween, but why was that? You know Emilia Bergman, well Emilia dressed up as Betty Cooper who is Jughead's girlfriend in that show. They both really love that show, so it makes a lot of sense why they would have a matching costume. Oisin Fletcher, the General Manager of the Quebec City Citadelles, dressed up as Archie Andrews who is the main character of the show. Igor Petrov dressed up as Cheryl Blossom. That was really funny seeing him dress up in a red leather jacket. I mean, it was kind of creepy, but I think it was funny as well. Boris Petrov also got in on the Riverdale action while they dressed up as FP Jones. I think that is great as well. It was a funny thing that the team decided to do, so it went really well and was fun for the entire team.

Halloween in Buffalo is great. There were many fantastic costumes from the team in our party.
Seppala dresses up as a zombie wolf every year. I don't really know why but he keeps doing it and that costume is crusty. This year Luffy dressed up as Aaron Wilson to scare our GM. Somebody showed up in a Michael Myers costume but didn't say anything. I'm assuming it was Metzler. He retired a while ago but he still hangs around. Wang showed up 2 hours late in a banana suit, plastered, and still became the life of the party. Bergman was dressed up as a doctor. When someone passed out she even helped check on them! What a dedication to the part. Sharp was holding his detached head. Somebody must have cut it off. We invited Darrow even though he left for Seattle. He has a really fancy looking pirate costume. I think it's the same one he wears before Argonaut games.

Well, I think that the very, very easy answer for what the Nevada Battleborn would be doing for our Halloween party is to dress up as a horde of Norsemen and go terrorize the neighborhood. I mean think about it: 20 or more large, heavily muscled men walking slowly along the middle of the street during the middle of the kids' trick or treat time and watching the little munchkins scatter would be incredibly amusing and would give off such a sense of power. Have someone walk ahead of them and drop dry ice, too. Let them walk through a cloud of smoke. Oh, and don't forget the weapons. Maces, battle axes, hatchets, daggers, dirks, swords, bows and arrows, and of course we can't forget the shields. They're the main attraction of the show. Huge, 5-foot tall slabs of crafted metal meant to deflect all of the weapons listed above and more, they will draw all sorts of attention. Now, terrorising a neighborhood may not seem like a party, per se. So that's why you have kegs of beer, three of them to be exact, being toted along on a wooden wagon behind the group. Adding beer by itself doesn't make a party, but what completes it is the police force showing up and just having a laugh with all the players when the Karens inevitably call the cops. And that's why I love the idea of this party.
