Hey SHL,
I'd like to start of by thanking everyone for being here. It's been a fun season and I think we are finally getting to a good place in the SHL. With that we have some big changes ahead, so I will list them out.
66 Games - Following the S56 SHL season, we will be moving to a new era. 66 Games and 12 Back up games. This will make the schedule a bit more even and improve the number of back up starts. We are hoping this is step one to helping fix the goalie logjam.
Server Swap - More on this later, but following the season there will be a couple hours (hopefully only a couple hours) where we will be moving the SHL forum server. This is to get more memory for the new Index among other things. Look out for an announcement of downtime from @
DrunkenTeddy .
Pay increase and rework - We will be announcing, maybe today, a new pay scale for all jobs. This will also be posted on the forums so everyone will have access to see who gets paid what. Congrats to those who got a raise.
Events Dept - This will be hired to help community engagement and add some cool new features to both sim and draft streams. We will be looking for graphic people who can make the draft streams look fancy, make draft cards, make playoff cards, basically anything to enhance official league media and or announcements. More on this in a day or so.
Rulebook updates - Adding the new player role limitations and new RFA rules. This should be up today or tomorrow.
TEAM STORE - This one is really exciting to me. We are going to be launching an SHL merch store via RedBubble. This will have SHL licensed gear and team licensed gear. Any logos that are owned by members of this site or GMs can be added, just let us know. I want to thanks Teddy, Nour, and Luke for countless hours to get this together. Hopefully this will launch by next season, in time for Christmas! All proceeds will go back into the league donation fund, to help us pay for site improvements.
Finally, I'd like to announce my decision to step down from SHL Commissioner following the S56 Season. I'd like to thank everyone who I've worked with over the last year and a half in Head Office and year as Co/Commissioner. Special thanks to @

Running a league of any scale is a huge task. If things don't work as they should, you will be blamed for it. If things go well, shitheads looking in from the outside (like myself) will always know a quick simple solution that would fix that one problem that would make the league even better disregarding the other issues it would create.
