Hello everyone I am TheSparkyDee and I was chosen as the Captain for the Detroit Falcons last season, it was a lot of hard work and responsibility. The work came in form of being the first one in the locker room posting the stats and the game results, posting the links to the SMJHL Livestreams, and keeping everyone informed on how the sims went for that day. Last season I created media pieces for all 50 games and I did a recap of those games, I am not saying the next captain is going to have to do this, but I felt like it was a must do for the players to see how the Falcons were doing. I approached the GMs Nour and Cal, and asked them about a tradition that I could start in Detroit because of me getting called up to the SHL, and they loved the idea. So, the tradition came to me when I was sitting there and determining my future.  I brought to the table the idea of passing down the captain patch to another player on the roster who deserves it. I have been thinking about this and I have decided who I want to choose and I got two thumbs up from the GMs in Detroit to go ahead and award the Captain patch for the upcoming S57 Season is Jonathan Granström, he was our Assistant Captain last season and he is a great choice to be giving the ( C ). He is a great choice to have be the captain of this team moving forward for the next few seasons he is in a Detroit Falcons jersey. His ability to be very active in the locker room is something that really caught my eye! He has learned a lot about the SHL since joining in August. He reminds me of me when I first joined, I was eager to get all the help and knowledge from everyone. I know being the Captain of the SMJHL to some people is not a big deal. But it should be, the SMJHL is the first thing someone that is new here will see. You get drafted to a SMJHL team and you spend a lot of seasons in the J, so the Captain should be appointed for every team and be a person who can take the responsibility to help the new young ROOKIE out with anything. Hal is the perfect person who can do that, he helps people in the locker room with their player builds, and he just recently got hired as the SMJHL Draft Streamer and did a fantastic job. He is involved in the SHL and loves being here. So, Hal will choose the next captain when his times comes to be called up to the SHL and join his Wolfpack in New England. He will pass on this tradition, hopefully one day I will retain this tradition and keep it going for many and many seasons. I want to name the Assistant Captains as well, after getting the approval from the GMs, I would like to award the ( A ) patch to Anton Mihailov, and Yngve Simonsson. Wow what an honor! I love the Falcons and I love our locker room and have just tried to contribute my best, I am amazed to have been named captain after just one season!
