Another throwback to the killer S53 season where Detroit took the SMJHL by storm. But now, we look at who's still performing in S57 of the SHL!
All-S53-Detroit-Falcons-Team
F: Kaarlo Kekkonen (17 goals, 28 assists)
Kaarlo is flying this season, one of the reasons Texas has the second best win % at this time in the West.
F: Edward Williams (21 goals, 14 assists)
Hey would you look at that, I made my own All-S53-Detroit-Falcons-Team! But 21 goals for a sophomore in the SHL is no joke, and Williams happens to be another reason the Renes are crushing it right now.
F: Cal Labovitch (18 goals, 11 assists)
Well well well, I actually didn't expect this trio to be reunited but here we are! Kekkonen, Williams, and Labovitch make up the three forwards in this team. They all have more points than any other forwards from the Detroit team.
D: Tig Murphy (11 goals, 17 assists, 52 shots blocked)
Wellll technically Tigothy wasn't a player on that S53 team, but obviously he was the GM who led us to glory so he gets to make the roster! (Also yes I disregarded nour for the third forward spot but he only has 4 goals so that's kinda lame for a center sorry nour)
D: Guy O'Shea (13 goals, 13 assists, 42 shots blocked)
And O'Shea fills up the last spot, having a strong season with the Steelhawks, who always seem to be favorites for the Challenge Cup even after changing the entire simulation program because of them hmmmm anyway well done Guy.
G: A Jobin (27 wins, 2.09 GAA, 0.922 SV%)
Last but not least is our favorite young goalie, good ole Jobin. Having this Hamilton connection with Detroit seems a little unfair but hey I'm glad Texas was represented, too.
