Tasks:
1. Update Page 2. Activity Check 3. Buy a week of training 4. Complete a PT 6. Write a Deep Dive 7. Today I watched the SMJHL stream at 12pm EST. My team, the Citadelles, played two games. Our first game was against the Newfoundland Berserkers. It started a bit rough with Newfoundland scoring first, but we played pretty well and ended up winning 4-2. Zdenko Beranek had a great game, scoring two goals. Bjorn Jakobsen also played quite well, and scored a goal and an assist. Our next game was against the Carolina Kraken, and we won 3-1. Mikael Koskinen had a great game, scoring a goal and two assists. Unsurprisingly, Boris Petrov got into a fight and won it. He leads the league in fights and fights won. I didn’t play great in either game, I had no points and a 0 plus-minus in both games. I’m happy that I got more playing time than usual though. In our second game I played for 9:40, which I think is the most I’ve played so far this season. Obviously a rookie isn’t going to get much playing time, so I just try my best to make the most of what time I do get. (184 words) 8. Rookie Survey 7 Tasks gets you 7 mil, nice work! Almost done! Task 1:
Gino Lombardo Update Task 2: Activity Check Task 3: Weekly Training Task 4: Complete a PT Task 5: Create a Graphic Task 6: Deep Dive 1 Task 7: See Below (didn't want to get the links all discombobulated) Task 8: Rookie Survey For Task 7 I watched the stream of Day 9's action, specifically my team - the Carolina Kraken - as we played the Nevada Battleborn. This game started out with both teams gunning for early goals, as both teams combined for 15 shots on goal within the first ten minutes of the contest (NBB outpacing CAR 9-6). Carolina Center Cormac Ponaire was a two-way madman during this madness-filled first period as he blocked four shots! The Battleborn struck first with a goal at the 3:15 mark, putting them up 1-0 over the home team. It took the Kraken less than two minutes to even the score, as rookie Daud Ramza fired a shot past NBB's goalie at the 1:35 mark to bring the game back to 1-1. The contest quickly went the way of Nevada in the second period, as they scored not once, not twice, but three times in the period, while outshooting Carolina 18-5 in the period. This began a trend for the Kraken as their youth couldn't keep up with the much more experienced Battleborn. Nevada stretched the lead to 5-1 in the final period, which would end up being the final score of the game. It was a disappointing night for the Kraken, but their team is full of youthful promise and hopes to improve as the season moves on. Wow, all 8 done all at once gets you 9 mil for 8 tasks and the bonus! Great work! @pat -ACC ![]() Player Progression Director Local Hive Mind
Task 1:
Make an update page Task 2: Claim an activity check Task 3: Buy a week of training Task 4: Complete a(n eligible) PT [not completed] Task 5: Create a graphic Task 6: Write a deep dive [not completed] Task 7: Watch a youtube stream - see below: Task 8: Complete the rookie survey Game one: Quebec vs the Colorado Raptors. Quebec scored early, followed by another goal around 7:30 remaining in the first. Raptors survive a disastrous first period and score with just over a minute remaining, squeaking into the second period with just one goal's difference despite being massively outshot in the first. Quebec regained their two-score lead a minute into the second period. 3-1 going into the third despite some good chances for the Raptors. The third remained uneventful through the end, final score 3-1. Shots 47-19 in favor of QCC. Nystrom finished a null on plus/minus with one shot on goal registered and two hits delivered. "Null on plus-minus" wasn't the upside he was banking on, and he'll surely be remembering that next game. Second game was KEL vs MET. Far lower shots in this game, MET scoring twice late in the first despite being outshot 7-6. MET started running away with it in the early second with a third goal, and added a fourth later in the period. 4-0 Maine after two. KEL finally struck back in the early third, tallying two to come within two. Outshooting the home team 31-16 at 12 minutes remaining, their chances for a comeback looked better than nothing. They came within one with six minutes to play, then finally found their equalizer just before 2 minutes remaining. 4-4 at the end of regulation. Overtime was inconclusive and the game remained 4-4, to be settled in a shootout. Only there did KEL finally complete a roaring comeback, going from down 4-0 to a 5-4 heartattack victory. Anaheim vs Detroit came next. Detriot up 1-0 after 1, then 2-0 after 2. Outshooting the visitors handily all the way, the hapless Outlaws did not look to have their luck change tonight at the end of the second period. The third verse was much the same as the first, but louder and with the entire Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing the same refrain. Final score was a 6-0 rout. Of interest, this game featured a fight between Kermit Murphy and Arturs Tumovs, albeit an unspectacular one in which no blows landed. Nevada vs St Louis followed. The Scarecrows scored twice in the first, despite a relatively small shot 12-10 differential in their favor. One more goal followed in the second, but the Scarecrows doubled their opponents in shots 22-11 by the end of Nevada's nightmare period. The Battleborn finally struck back in the early third, scoring twice to come within one, then again to tie the game. Shots were even at 25, then Nevada surpassed St Louis in shots. While they couldn't complete the kill in regulation, nor overtime, the tension in St Louis' stadium was thick enough to, one might say, choke on. The choke completed in the shootout, with Nevada taking an ugly win 4-3 and the Scarecrows considering a players-only meeting after such a spectacular third-period collapse. Hartford at Carolina was next on the docket. Harfort's goal in the first was this game's only until Carolina equalized in the early third. For the third time tonight, a contest went to shootout, the final winner being the Kraken, 2-1. Carolina then played host to Newfoundland. Much like in their previous match, they gave up a goal in the first. Rather unlike their previous match, they were down 5-1 by the end of the second stanza. Final score was 6-2 Berserkers. Anchorage vs Quebec followed. Scoreless after one, Quebec finally broke the game open in the early second. Anchorage tied it after two, and it once again took a shootout to decide the game. QCC took it at last. St Louis then took their chance at redemption against none other than the just-victorious Armada. While they didn't choke a four goal lead in this game, they also failed to score even one until the late third period. 2-1 Anchorage final. Newfoundland vs Nevada next. 1-0 for the home team after one, and 2-0 after two. The Newfies threatened with a goal in the third, but an empty netter sealed a 3-1 victory for Nevada. Finally, the Colorado Raptors played their second of the night. The Raptors scored first, but the Knights struck back twice to go up 2-1 by the end of the second. Unfortunately the Raptors couldn't quite get it done in the third, as the Knights struck a dagger near the end of the game. Nystrom did not do well for himself in this game, finishing a -1 with three hits, no shots, and a holding penalty to his name. Despite this, his post-game interview remained optimsitic. "I feel it coming." He said, "I'm starting to find my place in this team. Obviously I wish it was coming faster, but it'll come." Dang, you killed that Task 8! 2. activity check claimed 3. weekly training 4. PT claim 5. rookie graphic 6. Deep dive 7. See Below... 8. Survey (again... I have never claimed this before so I did the thing in hopes that it's okay) #7: So last week I watched a live stream on YouTube for the first time. These are generally hard for me to catch as I am sleeping when they happen but I stayed up for this one. Anaheim played 2 games. I can’t remember who we were playing but we lost one game 2-1. And the other 4-2. It was actually pretty fun once you get the gist of watching. It’s very fast but the stream slows down as something important is about to happen. The graphic at the bottom left that shows where the action is happening is actually very interesting and fun to follow. The only issue I had really was the last ten minutes of the game and Anaheim was down by one. In reality... this would be a very exciting end to the game as Anaheim would have been playing hard to tie it but the clock counter went down in like two seconds and obviously nothing happened but it could have been played with more drama. That all checks out, even the Survey Claim! That's all tasks done all at once, so 9 mil for 8 tasks and the bonus! Watch an SHL or SMJHL stream on YouTube Today, we will look at the game between the Carolina Kraken and the Detroit Falcons happening on the March 1st stream. Let’s start the game, we are only 15 seconds in and we have a goal, the Falcons have opened the score with the first goal of the game. After the early goal, the game has been pretty even. We are close to the midway of the first period and the Falcons double their lead with a goal from Granstrom. The Falcons have increased the tempo and the Kraken haven’t got a shot on goal since the Falcons last scored, but they finally got their fourth shot on goal with less than two minutes left in the period. During the second period mostly dominated by the Falcons, we have to wait until less than three minutes are left in the period when Detroit adds to their lead with a third goal. The Kraken opens the score quickly in the third period with a goal in the first minute, will they be able to come back? After five minutes into the third period, the Kraken is still putting pressure on the Falcons with six shots against one since the start of the third. But the Falcons break Carolina’s momentum with a goal from Lillehammersson. Lillehammersson again! He gets his second goal of the game fifteen seconds after his first one. Detroit adds a six goal with ten minutes left into the third. With a little more than five minutes left in the third, Detroit adds a seven goal to their tally. The Detroit Falcons win their game seven to one against the Carolina Kraken. 273 words Quote:8. Task 6
https://simulationhockey.com/showthread.php?tid=114363 Task 7 I am watching S58 regular season day 15. I will be focusing on game 3, the Anaheim Outlaws take on the Vancouver Whalers. This is my first game on the ice for the whalers and I can't wait to see how I do. The Whalers started out strong with a goal in their first 5 shots scored by Knockedout byOvechkin. First period ended 0-1 in favor of the whalers. Second period Nikolaj Boyle scores the second goal for the Whalers. The Outlaws fired back with a goal from James Hagan. Rikki Petrov answered back with another goal for the Whalers. Second period ended 1-3 in favor of the Whalers. The third period was a lot of shooting but no scoring for 18 min. Then Alexis Saint-Michel scored for the Whalers. At this point the outlaws have pulled their goalie so it's an empty net. The outlaws put their goalie back in and with 2 seconds on the clock Zayne Rotzbua scored one last goal for the Whalers. The game ended 1-5 in favor of the Whalers. While I didn’t get involved in a lot of action this game it's fun to see my team take the win. Excited to watch more games as the season progresses. This should be all 8 tasks complete Graded! That is indeed your final two tasks completed, $1 million per task plus $1 million for completing all 8 tasks, your $3 million is on the way! Good job @taterswc ![]() ![]() Registered Member
