S59 mPT #4 Cup Favorite

I mean how can anyone deny Hamilton as the odds on favorite to win it all. They have the best record and it is theirs to lose. The pressure is on.

Oh by far the greatest story of this seasons playoffs will be... the story how the Winnipeg Aurora make the playoffs, and win the Challenge Cup!!! But first before all that we need to win all the games! Not hard right!

Since playoff games don't end in shootouts, I think the team with the most shootout losses is actually better than we expect and will end up winning the challenge cup. In this case, the Los Angeles Panthers are 2-5 in the shootout and are therefore the favourites to win this year.

The obvious favourites to win the SMJHL cup this year really has to be the Kelowna Knights. They have the most points in the league and among the top teams, they have the 2nd least amount of OT wins which means they have a high chance of winning in regular time.

Well, it's statement that I have heard countless times in the SHL Discord, but I believe that the real cup favorite is actually micool, as he has stated countless times: "I'm gonna win the cup".

In all seriousness, my money is on one of the Great Lakes teams to hoist the cup this season.

Well, we once again have all of the four Great Lakes teams in the top five, so one of them might be a good bet once again. Of course, one of them will also be cut from the playoffs and right now, sadly that looks to be Toronto again. But there’s still time for them to overtake Buffalo for that third playoff spot in the division, so that should be a fun race to watch. In the presumably more predictable Western conference, Texas is given uncomfortable chase by Calgary, but is still probably the main Challenge Cup contender outside of the GL teams. Here’s hoping...

After 69 shots on net with still no SHL goals to show for it, even the opposition started to feel so sorry for Lemo, that they decided to help him out :D
- Bad pass by Jack Klompus, he gave it right to Lemo Pihl.
- Lemo Pihl rips it to the net...
- Lemo Pihl will find the empty net, that should do it!

It's very likely that it's one of the Great Lakes teams. Again. The obvious choice is probably Hamilton for most people, but I believe this season it can really be any of the four; they're this close and there are enough games left in the regular season for things to change. That's why I pick Toronto. We're a good team, just as good as the other cup favorites, so it's not impossible. All we need is a little luck. I know we can do it.

Current standings be damned the Edmonton Blizzard are going to make a run in the playoffs that will be the talk of the town for seasons to come! You heard it here first.

The favorite to win the cup absolutely has to be the New England Wolfpack. I think we are just around the corner from finishing this season with an undefeated run to greatness. #alternativefacts

For the past few seasons the Challenge Cup winner has come from the Great Lakes and with good reason. The Great Lakes host arguably the best 4 but certainly 4 of the best 5 teams in the league. The emergence of the Toronto North Stars has put them in a position to be a battle tested force coming out of the best division in the league. If Toronto can beat out Chicago or Buffalo for the final playoff spot in their division, they could make some noise against any team in the field. They have one of the league's best goalies in net along with one of the league's elite bluelines. If their young and dynamic forward group can get hot at the right time, the North Stars can easily be a Challenge Cup favorite

I could say Hamilton, but that is boring. I am going for our divisional rivals Texas. They have been consistent and have a number of top quality players. I think they may surprise the top dogs from the Great Lakes Division and hoist the cup!

I would like to think that my own team, the Tampa Bay Barracuda have a chance to still win the cup, but I'm going to have to be real here and see the truth that this probably will not happen. Also since I completely forgot who I chose in my predictions I'm just going out on a limp here and go from the current standings and say that in my opinion Texas has the best chance to take home the cup this season. While Hamilton is the points leader and the goal differential leader by far I still think that Texas has the better lineup on the ice and that it will make it this year. I could be wrong though, since I usually am wrong in regards to those things.

I think Hamilton are the cup favorites. This would be good because I would win a ring again which would be quite pog. The birds are the best team in the league yet again this season, even with some departures this past season. Hally and Dmills really know how to make a winning team.

Cant argue with the fact that Hamilton is the favorite given that they are on the top of the heap. Absolutely cannot wait to watch them fall from their pirch.

You're right, the playoffs are an entirely different animal, which is why I'm taking the Anaheim Outlaws to win the four star cup this season. Anaheim is swarming with activity, especially amongst the rookies, and the team improves every week. The club has legitimate stars in Kaapo and AJ. Furthermore the play in net looks like it's not a fluke and should keep up the rest of the season. For these reasons I'm taking the Outlaws
