I mean, it's probably Buffalo, right? After Hammy won the cup last season, aren't the poor Stampede due for some success finally? I mean, they've already been snubbed in the All-Star game. How much pain can one franchise endure?

It's fairly likely that it'll be Hamilton. If it isn't Hamilton, it'll be an upset at one stage of the playoffs or another. That's just the harsh reality of them retaining all of the good players, having their strategy that's tried and true, and FHM being fairly rigid with respect to the better teams winning. Not to say it should be a haphazard random effects model like STHS, but yeah, I'm basically here so I don't get fined sometimes.

I personally think that even though I really, really want the Anaheim Outlaws to win, we're not quite there yet and that the Kelowna Knights will win because they are there, where they need to be. Dangit lol

As much as I hate to say it, I believe Hamilton is still the favorite for the cup. While a quick glance only shows them 1 point ahead of Chicago, a deeper look shows they are actually pretty far ahead. Chicago has played four more games than Hamilton, so they have 92 points in 60, while Hamilton has 93 points in 56 games. HAM also has a +130 GD, compared to Chicago's 107. Chicago is making great strides, but they aren't quite there just yet. Texas is in 3rd with a similar win percentage to Chicago, also with only 56 games played, so Texas could certainly make a run. They should be considered a wildcard for a cup, but maybe not a "favorite", yet.

Hamilton are locks as the easy favourites to win again this year. It's hard to bet against them when they have Morgan and Wilson tearing it up and the team is miles ahead of every other team in essentially every measurable metric.

Maybe this is the year that the Seattle Argonauts can do something. It is finally our time to shine as a former expansion team. I think we have a shot!

The cup is obviously <insert one of the top 4 great lake division teams here>. The <top 4 great lake division team name> has dominated play all league, with a huge positive goal differential and being very stingy with giving up losses. No doubt in my mind, top 4 great lakes division team name> is gonna win it all this year.

Its certainly looking a lot like Hamilton is going to pull it off again. They continue to be dominant this season only losing a total of 9 games in the 56 they have played so far. They also have twice as many goals for as goals against and man are they on a roll. They have the highest goal differential by a longshot (27 goals). Only Texas has had fewer goals scored against them in the same amount of games. Not only is the Hamilton offense firing on all cylinders but their defense is doing a great job of keeping the puck out of the net.

While Hamilton is the easy answer here, I'm going to go with Seattle out of pure unadulterated bias. No one expects Seattle to win, but the boat sleeps with one eye open motherfuckers. Watch yourselves

I would love to say that Seattle are my prediction to win, but unfortunately at this stage it's difficult to know whether we will even make it to the playoffs. I choose the easy way out and predict Hamilton win it all.

In my opinion, the leaders this season are the Hamilton Steelhawks, because in terms of places, this team takes first place in the whole league. As well as the biggest indicator, in my opinion, is that this team scores little goals and throws a lot. Its difference is 130 goals, it's incredible!

Obviously what was done in the regular season doesn’t matter when the playoffs come around... however, look at the dominance my Hamilton Steelhawks displayed this season. It would be nothing short of a disappointment if Hammy does not go in an win the Challenge Cup given the dominance displayed.

I'm going to shock everyone and say that the Hamilton Steelhawks are the favourites. Completely out of left field I know, but they do have the highest point getter in the league and their #1 goalie is currently sitting at 34 wins.
